      Could you really count dark forces 2 as well? Technically you start the game on Nar Shaddaa...though granted the title crawl could be considered as the "start"

      Not every game, but most of the stories, at least, show a ship. In DFII it was the scene with Jerec. In MOTS we simply see space above Altyr V.

    I was about to make a post about this, it makes me sad that there's no actual answer, or tutorial. Here a tutorial @@Jeff gave me awhile back.     I know that in base jka, any npc that wields a blaster pistol doesn't drop the pistol when killed. I'd look at that code and see if you could emulate the same for specific npcs.

    You should also be able to call off a mission by speaking to the person again. Or using some sort of UI (the datapad perhaps?) in order to cancel a mission.

    One thing that would help give players a sense of direction would be a option that'd let players view who to talk to, and where to go on the datapad. I think you can access the datapad by pressing Tab, but I don't remember.
