  5. Nice catch on both counts. Kyle has Protect and Absorb despite us not having access to those powers in JK2. Continuity issue, perhaps? It slightly bothers me that in JK2, Kyle says at the end (spoilers) "The rest of them blew up with your ship." Was that really the last of the Shadowtroopers though? After all, some of them appear in the Academy grounds. It's impossible for me to believe that they were completely wiped out also, especially since they seem to have been engineered in Cairn, which wasn't even catastrophically damaged by Kyle's actions. And this in turn leads me to my main issue with Cairn. It makes absolutely no sense that Kyle wants to sneak out after carving a path through enemies. I think there should be an optional objective in cairn_dock to place charges, so that the installation can be destroyed. After destroying the installation, Shadowtroopers won't appear in Yavin.

  8. No, but really all that KotF did was put it into a menu, you can use a console to spawn NPCs.

  10. 1. Literally everything was ripped from other stuff. I think the only thing he did was the menus and adding some cinematics on some levels. The Kamino level for instance- The Obi Wan, Jango Fett, EE3, and Obi Wan hilt models were used without permission. The map itself was made by RichDiesal, who is most well known for his mapping university tutorial series. He was very angry in finding out that Tim used his work. There's zero doubt that he didn't use content from other people without their permission. 2. Movie Duels 2 is legit and well enjoyed. I'd like to see a sequel or more fleshed out campaigns.
  11. You can actually do that too, yes. It's a bit of a workaround but it's possible. It involves using the playermodel command.
  12. Don't ever do this. Paint never saves JPEG images at max quality, and resaving as JPEG multiple times anyway causes data loss. You'll want to just unchecked "progressive" when saving.

  14. Note: I said the script source (it's available in a .zip included with the JKA SDK). You're looking at the compiled IBI.
  15. You'll want to edit the script for the two cutscenes (the ones before and after the fight). I don't know exactly which ones those are, but if you take a look at the Raven script source, in kor2 or kor_dark folder you should find it easily.

  18. I don't think you can rip it from the screenshot, but replicating the effect in Photoshop seems relatively simple. Make a rectangular selection on a transparent background, feather it slightly, and then use a black/transparent gradient pointed to the side. The blue part involves just repeating this process, but with a blue color as well as angling it from the corner. How much do you know about .menu editing?
  19. We did not modify the limits for model vertices in JKG. If you're seeing a model that surpasses the vertex limit, then it's either not used by the game or there's some kind of error on your part.

Don't know if anyone has seen this, but it's an interesting, unused hack of code that could probably be reenabled. https://github.com/redsaurus/OpenJK/blob/custom/code/cgame/cg_players.cpp#L6749-L6948 It's technically in redsaurus' branch, but if reenabled for single saber, it gives an interesting effect depending on which one you use. so far I know that the Staff type is JK2's /thedestroyer cheat code, and the broadsword one is Kylo Ren's lightsaber.
