  1. Hi, Thank you both for the submissions. The staff will have a bit of a discussion on this, as we feel like the contest was poorly advertised. But for right now, there is no deadline.
  2. This glitch is fixed in OpenJK.
  3. Both. Some stuff was not credited, some was. You should read this entire thread for more context.
  4. Try setforceall 5
  5. There are some common scripts that set an NPC as using alt fire. No need to reinvent the wheel. I can't remember off the top of my head what they are, though.
  6. There haven't been any other posts. I want to try and reboot this.
  7. The engine can already handle motion captured animations, as long as you convert them to the format the game supports. The engine doesn't actually care whether you hand sculpt or mocap the animations - the difference is kind of like whether or not the engine allows you to use Microsoft Paint over Photoshop - it doesn't actually care, as long as what you supply it is good. I'm curious as to what all you're going to mocap with this - I know about melee animations, but what about guns? Sabers? Either way, it looks like a really nice rig, I can't see any jittering of the animation (which is a big step up from what JK3 has)
  8. Well I can't speak much for quality, as it looks like JPG compression ate up a lot of that. In terms of how the colors work, it's going to be either 1 or 3. I picked 3 because 1 has a very obvious seam which can be seen on the first screenshot. Maybe Kril'Dor does have a moon though? I don't know, I don't think that should matter. btw, v2 looks like a good replacer for bespin if you should decide to replace all the textures for bespin. It always bothered me how Bespin was orange in the games, but very distinctly white in the films (@@Langerd's really cool Bespin map does a good job of what I mean)
  9. Which boss battle from the Jedi Knight series was your favorite? Note that not all options have been included. The Dark Forces bosses weren't included (but feel free to list them as Other!) and some of the tier bosses of JKA (such as Rax Joris, Lannik Racto, the Mutant Rancor, etc) weren't included.
  10. Dunno, but there's still stuff that's blatantly ripped from other mods in that news update (the ESC menu uses the same image as JKG's, and the About menu uses fonts from MB2).
  11. Allow me to clarify further: in OpenJK, there are additional fields in the ext_data/weapons.dat file, specifically there is a "damage" and an "altDamage" field which you can add to alter the value.
  12. You will likely get similar issues with other maps, like t2_rogue, t1_rail, etc that use those same NPCs.
  13. Yes.
  14. No, they should update the animations if that's the case. Perhaps I am a bit strange, but I never took issue with Fallout 4's graphics like everyone else seemed to. I was more irritated by the quest system than anything.
  15. My shins are guarded.
  16. Those are both really cool images! Glad to see them!
  17. The new Megadeth album is pretty sweet.
  18. After the recent success of the JKHub Holiday Competition, and much staff discussion, we have started a new competition. This time, it will be something a little bit different. Instead of focusing on something designed with the game in mind, we will be focusing on screenshots. Originally, JKHub used a picture of the level t1_fatal. We hosted a screenshot competition in 2014, two years after JKHub was opened to the public, and the current background is the winner of this competition. Fast forward to today. JKHub is turning four years old this year, and we haven't had a background change in several years. We need something new to keep the site fresh. So, we are announcing our second official Background Contest. The winning entry of this contest will become the new background for JKHub. Here are the official rules of this competition: The art must be submitted by March 1st, 2016. Winners will be determined over a week-long voting period.Winners will be determined via a voting system similar to the Holiday Competition.Artwork must be a minimum of 1900x1200 pixels in size. The larger, the better! Ideally, your work should look good on all resolutions.Screenshots must depict content which is only available in the base game, or official Raven Map Packs. Hand-made artwork / concept art is also acceptable.Screenshots may be of content in JK2 or JKA only. Submitted artwork must be related to JK in some way.You may submit up to 3 pieces of content for this competition. You may submit your artwork to this thread. But you may be wondering, why would we hold a competition to change a part of the website, when the prospect of a JKHub 2.0 is looming? In truth, it will take a while to develop JKHub 2.0, even after the software we need becomes available. In the meantime, some small improvements to the website and minor changes, such as the background, will be enough to keep the site fresh while we all wait for JKHub 2.0. More details and information about JKHub 2.0 will be given as we learn more. We are constantly tweaking the website, and continue to evaluate new options to engage the community, in order to bring everyone together. In the meantime, best of luck to those who are competing! We hope to see a lot of good stuff out of you guys. Click here to view the article

  21. Yes, something like that. In the case of KOTOR2 though, a large swathe of content was missing, in the case of JKA, it was very rushed. I think there's a few very visibly broken things in JKA. The focus on JK:Enhanced is to improve the gameplay in a minor way, and to the best of the original developers' intentions. The JK2 portion will see very few changes (the most major being perhaps improved sabering, restored dialogue, and a new level), while the JKA portion will be more towards building a living, breathing Academy.
  22. Most of the issues that we've seen are ones involving graphics drivers, not ones involving the operating system itself. What type of video card are you using? (AMD and nvidia seem okay, it's the Intel ones giving issues, as usual)
  23. Agreed. Generally a lot of these suggestions would be well-accepted for the JK:Enhanced project, which has two subprojects: JA:Enhanced (spearheaded by redsaurus) and JK2:Enhanced (spearheaded by myself)
  24. Sorry, what?
  25. It's a good idea. Poking @@redsaurus.
