      I'm aware. I've been around long enough to know 99% of the time someone is asking for an NPC, they are actually asking for the model + NPC file so they can play it in SP. Usually people that don't understand how modding works just ask for what they want in the simplest terms they know how to.

      Because they made a deal with EA. Also, the people making Apeiron had no prior experience to prove that they could make a full game competently. I wasn't really impressed with anything they revealed. It barely even looked like KOTOR or Star Wars.

      Has nothing to do with paying for it. They can technically send a C&D to a parent that paints the Star Wars logo on their kid's bedroom wall. It's their trademark and you need a license to do anything with it at all. They are more strict about some situations than others. In this case, they see a potential missed opportunity to make money from a KOTOR remake, so they eliminated the competition, because it's their brand and they can.

      They're using Lucasfilm's property without permission. They knew the risks when they started it. If you make mods for Jedi Academy, you should also be aware that Lucasfilm can C&D any works related to Star Wars. That's how copyrights and trademarks work. Apeiron was a cool idea but the writing was on the wall as soon as they started it.

      How confident are you that a MP mod would be successful enough to be worth making? JKA MP is already struggling to have a decent population as it is. I'd rather you spend effort and time towards something you can replay. :)
