  1. Well... It seems the time for the outrider may not be right, but there's a lot of potential on this forum. I love that the AT-DP is coming along, and there's some potential with those episode 7 vehicles even if they just become map objects. Let's keep the possibilities rolling.
  2. Thanks for making this idea a reality. It's really going to go far in the machinima community!
  3. The throwable stuff pack was really influential at how just being able to spawn game models in the vanilla game could be. That being said, I've only done re-skins and replications of mods (making an r5-D2 vehicle when you had an R2-D2 vehicle). I'm not sure how far I could leg it on my own.
  4. Is there a way to make it a spawnable model without animations?
  5. @@Psyk0Sith you are a god... Now I can finally start doing layered composite shots to populate hallways and battle sequences...
  6. Coming from the machinima/film/comic part of the Jedi Academy community, even if vehicles don't handle that well in the engine, they are dramatic game changers for getting your story across. There's only so much re-skins can get across. I have entire chroma key maps that let me film motion passes to make vehicles look like they are traveling through space in more realistic methods, but there are so many vehicles that could be brought into the engine... Rebels offers the Inquisitor tie fighters, troop transports, alternate swoop bikes, the Phantom, even the Ghost itself (though that'd make a better map than a vehicle). Episode VII offers all those amazing models shown above that could be converted. Then there are things we haven't yet seen realized from the EU... I will gleefully and joyfully celebrate any vehicle mod, with or without an engine overhaul... Though if that did happen, I might not have to use green screen to have them fly gracefully in Jedi Academy, haha. Would there be a way to make them spawnable NPC objects, even if they were static and didn't move, if no one got around to turning them into vehicles? Sort of like that "throwable stuff pack" from a while back?
  7. This is absolute perfection! Thank you all so very much!!!! You are all heroes and legends. Magnificent work!
  8. Oh my goodness! It's coming to life! This is magnificent!
  9. I like the shader idea. The problem is I can't change the idle animation for the greenscreen without changing it for 'characters' in scene, so to avoid the angle we'd have to play with the model itself.
  10. Alright, I played around with it. I had 3 NPC's at 100%, 200% and 300% scale. It seems that my initial guess as to what size coverage I would need was MUCH smaller than what would be good in reality. It also makes me wonder what the possibilities would be for a green screen parallel to the floor mapped to the player model's feet, but I'm getting greedy and getting the normal up and down version is quite an advancement! @Psyk0Sith by the shader to make it a true color, I assume you mean so it doesn't react to the map lighting as much?
  11. Oh wow! I'm really blown away by the fast response and from so many people! This warms my heart! So the initial test was a success. I'm going to make a couple NPC's for it and get some better screenshots. I think it'll meet my needs just fine. The only quirk is if the player has a weapon/item out (I use datapad and comlink frequently) it tilts the screen at a bit of an angle, but it should still work fine. I'll let you know of my progress.
  12. I know it's an odd request, but Jedi Academy has remained the definitive engine for my film group's machinima efforts for over a decade because there is a constant flow of amazing content from all these talented individuals, and it can be implemented into game so easily. The one thing that has eluded us, though, is being able to specifically position green screen elements into existing maps. Would it be possible to make an invisible player model with a head to toe, three body lengths wide rectangle attached to their torso (so it wouldn't move even when they do their idle head back and forth motion)? As a noclipped player it could be positioned into any spot, and as an NPC you could drop it conveniently into several spots... Is it too strange of a request? Or could someone besides me have use for it as well?
  13. I LOVE IT! Can't wait to see it uploaded! Magnificent quality!
  14. Your skill is beyond measure. I can't wait to see him uploaded!
  15. I absolutely love your enthusiasm, your list (even the order), and your dedication. Are you going to work in a rotation through the types, or just do what feels right at the time? Also, can I second the nomination of a Lothal map? City streets, the Jedi Temple, or even just Ezra's tower from the pilot?
  16. I have really been wanting to see this one in game for a while. I love the Rebels vehicles... The Inquisitor Tie, The Ghost, the first B-wing... But this is super memorable with its curves.
  17. Well, perhaps these super cool, unique, memorable sabers are the first step and then Ahsoka will come?
  18. I am also excited about it. I'm glad they used some of the original mcquarrie sketches as inspiration.
  19. I've seen a couple different versions over the years, and they each have massive pros and cons. The most photo-realistic one is a JO port, and at one point there was a texture patch for Jedi Academy, but without it you git this infinite visual glitch pit. The others aren't as accurate to the movie (one has the 'hole luke had his hand cut off in' as being about twenty feet across). I don't know where to track down the texture compatibility pack at this time.
  20. This is hilarious, and just out of the box enough that someone might do it.
  21. Well, let's say the first half of Watto's concerns weren't a factor and such was on the table?
  22. Ohhh! Absolutely beautiful! I was waiting to see some more in game shots, very nice lighting!
  23. I could have sworn that I saw a mod of PZ-4CO in development on this site, but now I can't find it.
  24. Well, I just went through this whole thread from start to finish to refamiliarize myself with what possibilities were out there. There is so much amazing content in here... Concepts, releases, just brilliant work. I can't wait for each release, but the one question I have is if the Barc Speeder was lost when your PC died?
  25. That was such an amazing innovation in design...
