Tempust85
Decided to just do it anyway, it is ultimately the fastest way afterall as @@Psyk0Sith mentioned. Here's the bake onto the low poly game mesh: Circa and Psyk0Sith like this Link to comment
Tempust85
Finished the high poly details, then baked again onto the low poly: AO + simple color for the diffuse atm. Normal map still needs to have its size reduced from 2048, but the diffuse is at 1024. Circa and Langerd like this Link to comment
Barricade24
I have begun to notice a slight variation of the Stormtrooper seen to the left of Kylo Ren. http://www.theforce.net/photo.asp?image=http://www.theforce.net/2015/promotfaposter2.jpg He appears to have some extra equipment on his armor. It would be neat to have this included as well. Link to comment

Tempust85
The guy on the left of Kylo Ren is a Flametrooper & the guy on his right is what I'd call a heavy trooper. He looks to be wearing a backpack and has a different weapon which both remind me of a Sandtrooper. I do plan on making the Flametrooper & Snowtrooper after this. eezstreet
Maybe it's just my eyes, but the dome (top part) of the helmet seems a bit too tall, and the helmet seems too thin overall when compared to that poster. But maybe I am wrong. Link to comment
JAWSFreelao
The world must be ending since Eez just admitted he may be wrong. All joking aside, I think it may be wise to heed his word. Link to comment
Tempust85
Made the dome slightly higher and the sides of the helmet slightly wider. Also added better AO & cavity to the diffuse, reduced the normal map size to 1024x & added a specular at 512x: Need to do the mouth detail next... Tempust85
That link never downloads, it just brings me to a white page with words lol. Managed to copy it into a text doc and rename to sbs though. I have managed to do the pattern, but a longer way with 3ds Max & baking & then crazybump. Link to comment

keno111
Wow really nice work. Will you let us download your 3d model for pepakura? Link to comment
JAWSFreelao
Same software that all CWA models have to be opened to first to export to OBJ. Think of a ghetto Blender only with better texturing tools. Link to comment
Psyk0Sith
And what's pepakura? Software that prints a flattened 3d model, you then fold and glue along strategic lines to recreate your model as a paper sculpture. I've had my share of requests from costume builders that wanted to "print" my iron monger model as a full suit! O.o Tempust85 likes this Link to comment
