  1. I was always a big fan of the Dark Mace Windu Battlefront 4 concept art. I probably wouldn't have my character with the black core in the saber though. I feel like the Darksaber should be its own thing. Of your three I'd choose the middle one, but without the weird 2ft goatee. If I remember right that's an official concept for Rebels that got scrapped. The one on the left feels to New republic era, and the one on the right is trying to force things too hard by using part of a helmet as an arm bracer. How would that even work, and why couldn't he find something better considering he found the material to build a new lightsaber?

  2. It's against the EULA of any EA Star Wars game. If someone ported it I think it's safe to say you wouldn't see that model here. Taking a tiny bit of the model, maybe some of a texture or a sound byte ... those you could call Fair Use (USA - or the equivalent in another country), but the whole thing is no bueno.

A good rule of thumb is that if there's a quality free or community-made model there's never a need to borrow from a retail game anyway. They Kylo Ren models here are fantastic, and also work within the limits of the game engine. That Kylo wouldn't, so there's also that.

  3. Also to be clear owners of WIP threads are perfectly capable of reading your requests in the Requests forum and probably don't like their threads being bombarded with huge images and copy/paste posts of the same request in someone else's WIP thread. That comes off as annoying and has the opposite effect from what you're trying to accomplish -- in other words such posts actually turn people off to the idea.

Possibly a bit too blunt, but I think it's better you know now rather than get more flak later.

  4. Loved it, but I'll keep it short: I played specifically for the story so I put it on the easiest difficulty. It was still a little too high of difficulty. It was totally playable, but I wanted to be able to decimate enemies and never die. I wanted the story only. On the bright side I would have missed out on the subtleties of combat, so I suppose I get why they did that.

  5. Rather than making a whole new topic I wanted to feature something different. About a year ago I converted the JKA Rift Sanctuary map over to Star Wars Battlefront II as simply, Chandrila. The video (by a community member) below shows that and my newest conversion, Sullust, from the PSP SWBF Renegade Squadron game. It's kind of poor quality, but I think that's the user's capture quality as it looks fantastic on my system. Just passing it along here as I thought it might be fun to see Rift Sanctuary in another game. Man, that was my favorite MP map back in the day.

  6. I worked on Ramsees Hed I think it was (level 7) and also did a poor take on Ice Station Beta. It's not awful, but yours is much better. I also did a lot of work on Jabba's Ship, but in the end I decided to work sequentially on levels. I ended up getting burnt out a few years ago, not being really comfortable with using Radiant.

Whatever level 13 was it was pretty much done geometry-wise. It's the Star Destroyer one I think. I got a build from an older team member. There was also someone on the JKHub Discord that streamed a near-complete Nar Shaddaa they'd done. Dunno if they're on here or not.

  7. I absolutely love it man. I wish we still had the motivation that was there years ago. I resurrected the DFMod for a short time, but it was just me and I only did it because I was betwen jobs. Given what you've done + the original 6 levels + some of the other things I have that never got released It could take us about 80-90% of the way.

That being said I'm old enough to see reality setting in and the fact that we don't have the time collectively to do it.

Still, I genuinely appreciate what you've done. If you ever get motivated again let me know. I still have the source to the levels, and only two are in any sort of barely-started state, one of which was this one. I might get motivated myself

  8. So definitely NOT trying to hijack, but I took a bit of a different direction with Lumiya. This is more to show Jeff based on a side conversation that we had. Note that this is for Star Wars Battlefront 2 and not JKA, but that's because I haven't really learned JKA rigging. This uses the Xbox SWBF2 Ventress body, Jeff's head, and a turban from Star Wars Galaxies, since that's been shut down for years now. It's not high poly or anything so I don't know how this would look in JKA.

  9. I'm not requesting this but I'm hoping you can help source some stuff. I'm looking to kitbash a Temmin "Snap" Wexley, and didn't know if we 1) had a good Resistance flight suit out there and 2) if there was a chubby dude with facial hair that might be a good start. Thanks for any help you can give man! The SWBF community really appreciates the JK community's willingness to hook us up so both games can be great.spacer.png
