Ah, so i wasn't mistaking after all! I knew it was darth something when i first commented. :D

  2. Very true. They may fail in other areas and aspects.. But you can't deny how visually stunning both of their Battlefronts are. As well as the sound and audio work. They look and sound just like what you'd expect a STAR WARS game would do.
  3. Hey, guys.. So, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in trying to replicate Kylo Ren's unstable lightsaber blade, from the sequel trilogy? I know there's a few crawling 'round on the forum already.. But in all honesty, I think we could really do with a newer, updated version of the blade effect. The hilt is fine. So, there's no need for a full hilt + blade "package" or "bundle".. Just the blade (or blades, due to the exhaust vents on the hilt) itself. I personally, would usually go through @@kalamaray for this sort of thing, as he was my first port of call, but he's disappeared from JKHub and hasn't been on here, for little over a year. So, I thought I'd extend it out to the community and see if there's anyone out there who wants to have a go. Obviously, we all know what Kylo's blade looks like, now.. As there's now so many different sources of media, to pull from. But in any case, I've posted some images and a coupla' videos below, to assist with references and what not.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lmk5jlXJePA *Note* Oddly enough, EAfront II has actually done it pretty damn well and is a good source for a reference, if anyone has that and needs a reliable source.
  4. In fairness, that face is pretty dire (Sebastian Shaw's, I mean). Plus, the skin tone doesn't match. So, it could be something to go back and look at (if or when you have the time to so).
  5. Well, with just over a year gone now, since the last update on it.. Is there any likelihood of you releasing that Grievous model, @@Psyk0Sith?
  6. An OK movie? Yes. Good movie? Certainly not. Certainly not deserving of all the ridiculous amounts of hate it gets, though. But it REALLY wasn't a strong STAR WARS movie, in any aspect. With the exception of Rogue One (understandably), it had no lightsaber duel (and no, you can't count Kylo Ren & Rey against Snoke's Praetorian Guards, as a lightsaber duel). As long as Kathleen Kennedy is in charge and her "loyal dogs" are with her, pushing their feminist agenda on everyone.. We'll never have a a true STAR WARS film. Revenge of the Sith was the last truly decent STAR WARS movie and I don't care what anyone says. The Force Awakens had the potential to be something good, but was played too safe.. And the only other Disney STAR WARS movie that is good, is Rogue One. However, the ground-work for Rogue One had already been done, so they knew what they had to go on. The sequel trilogy had every chance to do something new.. And yet, it starts off by basically being a rehash of A New Hope.
  7. To be honest, an easier way to do this would be to change the core size ("saberRadius") in the .sab files. For the record, the 2.2 setting is about the size of the Rebels' saber blades.
  8. Ok.. So, as the title reads.. The attack button isn't and doesn't seem to be working properly, for me. I've just recently bought a NEW PC (OS: Windows 10) (on the 24th August) and it has no problem running Jedi Academy, at all and I'm running the game through Steam. However, there is definitely an issue with the attack button. I currently have my buttons mapped out to be the following: Left Mouse Button = Primary Attack Right Mouse Button = Alt. Attack (i.e Saber throw) L = Change Lightsaber Style W = Forward S = Backpedal A = Left Sidestep D = Right Sidestep So, all pretty standard stuff, as you can see.. This is where the issue comes in, though.. If I stand still (on-screen character is stationary) and I "spam" the Left Mouse Button to attack.. Seemingly, everything is ok. However, if I try to move and attack.. It doesn't seem to register my attacking input or is very feint, at least and attacks occur maybe once in 5 or once in 10 clicks of the mouse. I didn't have this issue on my last PC (which broke down on me, last year and was the reason for the NEW, replacement system I bought just recently). As far as updating the software goes, everything is current (unless there's something I'm missing). If anyone's had or ran in to any issues like this in the past and managed to resolve it or knows what to do to fix the problem, it'd be greatly appreciated, if you could help out.. The issue is present in both mods and the base game. I've tried it out in OpenJK and the base game and it has the same issue. I really hope I can get this fixed, 'cos it literally makes the game and any mods unplayable in its current state. Any help is welcomed. Thanks
  9. Awesome work, as always, Rooxon. Much appreciated, buddy. Will add your name to the credits list, if it's not in there already, for anything prior to this.
  10. Yep.. If there's any likelihood or chance of you doing those in the not too distant future?
  11. We would be doing, but there's no available model for them, yet. Maybe @@Rooxon could assist with that? But until we can get them from somewhere, we're having to make do with her Clone Wars hilts.
  12. Crait Luke is finished and has been for some time, now.. However, it's currently only available through our "Movie Duels" mod, but tompa may decide to release it publicly, at a later date.
  13. The biggest qualm I have with all (Yes.. All lol) the Kylo Ren models, on JKHub.. Are how inaccurate the sleeves are. Everybody seems to just give him "fat" sleeves, when this is exactly the opposite of how he actually has them. It can't be that hard to do.. Surely? It seems very lazy to me, to just give him "fat" sleeves. Psyk0Sith got it spot on, with his model (before he unfortunately discarded it.. Such a shame. But it is what it is). But I'm glad you've posted that image above, zefilus. Hopefully, that'll help @@Mr. Ren out, in that area of the model's look. But this is looking really good so far, Mr. Ren. Keep up the good work!
  14. Well, I think we have a team of people who may be interested in helping you finish that project, actually. I believed Cerez was part of that project, if I’m not mistaken. But it could still be worked-on and completed, if you’d be willing to work with the team on doing it. We’re currently working on the MD mod, right now. But I’m sure we could fit that in, somewhere and bring it to the conclusion it needs. I remember JCulley3D’s map, myself and it was too good to see get put on the sidelines, with nothing done to it. Just a shame it was never finished by the original team. We’re on Discord, if you’re on there or can get on there.. We can throw it in to the mix of what we’re doing and get it finished, if you have any interest?
  15. Yeah, exactly. Personally, I think the same. But with YouTubers uploading footage of our work and what we've been doing, for their subscribers and in general.. There's still people out there that're questioning our methods (Probably those that are just looking for unnecessary conflict and to try and cause unrest), but this is to hopefully shut-down all the negativity and put it to rest. It's been made clear enough and more than once. So, we won't be treading over this ground, again.
  16. *Notice* We’re releasing this statement, in order to prevent any further negative responses about the authorship of this modification. In recent days, we’ve come across a critical opinion that we’re usurping the work of Wector, to build-up our own fame and prestige in the JK community. We’d like to publicly distance ourselves from this adultery and explain the recent changes in the name of the modification, itself. Firstly, we’d like to inform everyone that we’re not doing this project for our own fame, money or anything else.. But for you - the Community and the STAR WARS fans. This mod is a continuation of Wector's work and we do not take credit for what he’s done. Secondly, it is a tribute. The tribute to a great and hard-working guy, who has put this together, alone. Unfortunately, Wector is no longer active in this community. If he was still around, we’re sure he would’ve no doubt updated or continued his work, just like we are doing now. Thirdly, we have decided to rename the mod to just simply “STAR WARS: Movie Duels”. We know how much a few of you have stressed to see the name changed. We first removed the number "2", because there wasn't any official MD1. It was something like a Beta version and not a complete conversion, like this. So, previously, we were known as just “STAR WARS: Movie Duels (Remastered)”. But now it’s even time to delete the “Remastered" affix, because we are entering to another phase of development. The MD Beta has showed you that the Prequel part is almost completed and we’ve now, slowly started another one - our own new missions. So, another change in the name was inevitable because this won't just be a “Remaster", anymore. We’ve decided to make it sooner, rather than later and inform you about it. To demonstrate that we are not usurping the authorship for Wector's part, we’ve put both Wector and our MD development team credits in the Welcome! screen of our mod. So, the proof is there! In the end, we’d like to thank you for your support, positive reviews and the fact that this game still has such a large fanbase, like it does. Movie Duels Dev. Team
  17. Well, we're playing the role of a Jedi/Padawan.. A somewhat interesting angle, I guess. I know I'd much rather be someone like Vader and hunt the Jedi down, with the Clones.. But then it wouldn't be called "Jedi: Fallen Order". If you saw the footage from EA's STAR WARS 2016 trailer, RESPAWN showed some lightsaber combat mo-cap footage, but whether that was done for cut-scenes, I dunno. As long as it has a strong, in-depth story.. It should be good. I just hope the saber combat is more like the JK series.. I don't want another "hack 'n slash" style game, like TFU.
  18. Well, if you need any references.. There’s tonnes of images on google. But if you have it, you could also use Battlefront II’s Kylo Ren model as a go to. It’ll give you a pretty good basis with which to work with. Good luck!
  19. See if you can do something with the sleeves, too.. They’re currently too “fat” and not accurate to the model/character, at all. It’s always been one of Kylo Ren’s models’ biggest problems. The fact that nobody’s managed to get his sleeves the way they should be. Psyk0Sith did, but he “deleted” his work, after not working on it for so long.
  20. Damn! Well, if this masterpiece is anything to go by.. You should definitely look at doing a Coruscant map. Quite possibly one that could replace the one from the base game. That particular map is so off and the only thing that's even remotely accurate, is the architecture (albeit, just barely). You've pretty much nailed it, with this map. If there's any likelihood of you doing a Coruscant map, that'd be awesome! Or if you don't manage to come up with a name for this one, you could quite easily turn it in to Coruscant. Great work, though. Coming along really nicely.
  21. You're clearly wasting your time trying to explain it to him. He obviously won't budge on his decision, no matter what we try and say.. My whole viewpoint on this though, is why make a thread and ask for other people's opinions, when you're just gonna go with your own answer, in the first place? It's just redundant.
  22. @@PreFXDesigns “It should fix the issue.*” is what Tompa was meant to say.
  23. Hi, all.. The time is finally here.. After a year of hard work from myself and the team, we’re pleased to show off our first iteration of the mod that you’ll all no doubt be familiar with, that Wector originally released back in 2009, remastered for the current generation. As it’s Star Wars day, we felt this would be the perfect time to give something back to the community and hopefully re-ignite some of the passion we all have for Star Wars, that Disney and more specifically; EA, have tarnished, over the last few years. As the mod starts to run, you’ll begin to notice some big improvements across the board and we hope you’ll be pleased and appreciate all these new changes that’s been made and gone in to the mod’s development, to bring it up to standard of some of the more modern Jedi Academy mod’s out there, such as “Movie Battles II”. As this is our first iteration of the mod, it is only a Beta, so you may no doubt run in to some minor bugs and glitches, along the way. Some, the team are aware of, but feel free to post and leave any feedback about any bugs you find, so we can get them addressed and fixed, for when the final version of the mod is released. But enjoy the updated version and rest assured, that the team are still constantly working hard to deliver a fun and immersive Star Wars experience. Happy Star Wars Day! And May the Force be with you, always. STAR WARS: Movie Duels Team. Download Link: http://www.moddb.com/mods/movie-duels/downloads/movie-duels-beta-version-manual-installation
