  1. Well, we've tried the Remastered version in the "Extras" area and seemingly, from what we can tell, this problem doesn't occur. At least I haven't come across it, anyway.
  2. Actually, the Movie Duels 2 mod ISN'T dead. It's very much alive. We have a team who is working on "Remastering" the mod and bringing it into the modern age. However.. As others have stated, with an immature attitude like that, you'll get nowhere fast on this forum (if at all). Throwing out insults to people really isn't the best way to go about getting or finding what you're looking for, especially when others are civil enough to give you a response. Maybe you should extend them the same courtesy. But if you search on the forum, you'll find the "Work in Progress" thread with the content you're looking for. But you can search for that yourself. In future though, you might want to remember the old saying that you should treat people how you wanna be treated yourself, if you want people to help you out.
  3. Seemingly, he is the only person in this thread that's so bothered by it. We're keeping the MD2R (Movie Duels 2: Remastered) name, until we've completed the mod. That way, it's a name that everyone's familiar with (as they'll no doubt remember and have fond memories, of playing the original mod). It also helps to keep our recognition for the mod, high. We're staying true to and respecting what came before, from Wector (who's no longer available, unfortunately). We may or may not make changes to the name when we've finished, but it'll be a team decision, whatever we choose. Can we please now, put this name business to bed and focus on the content in the mod, itself.. That's far more important, than tedious name alterations.
  4. We didn't.. Don't worry. These are the "original" version of the assets that yeyo has been working with, while he updates the textures. He obviously hadn't updated his files, yet. But no, we are still using all the new models you've seen in this thread, previously.
  5. Ok, so while everyone's out celebrating.. Here's just an end of year update from @@yeyo JK, with our skyboxes and textures. Showing off the NEW Mustafar sky, first of all: Next up, we have the Tusken Camp (that Anakin goes to in Ep.II, to free his mother).. As you can see, from the first set of images (which were the original mod textures), the map looks too bright and not very authentic to the movie version, at all. Here's the same map, with edited and improved textures to be much more accurate and immersive: And finally, a couple of small changes to Darth Maul eyes, to try and bring out that realism in his face and capture the Sith look he had in the film (This may still need some minor tweaking): And closing out with the Jedi Temple library archives.. In the original mod, the lighting was more green, where as this has been updated, to be more accurate and changed to blue: HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE! We look forward to bringing you more updates and developments of the mod in 2018.
  6. Unfortunately no, not yet. We're still looking to recruit one. If you guys know of anyone who's interested and can help.. It'd be a big help to us, to progress quicker. But we won't leave this mod to die and will see it through to its completion.
  7. Don't worry, my fellow Force users.. All will soon be revealed. We're hoping to have all the Prequel content in place and sorted, with how we want it, by early to mid-2018 (With the exception of any unknown bugs & glitches that might need fixing). I should (and I stress the word "should") have my new PC, by mid to end of January. Which is unfortunately why you've not really heard or seen any developments from myself (and @@Tompa9 has been keeping you guys informed and up to date), as I've been limited to mobile devices, for updates (REALLY sucks!!). But yes, rest assured.. We are progressing. Currently updating maps and their textures, which we think you'll be extremely pleased with, come release.
  8. Hey, JAWS.. How did you get the saber glow to be that good? I mean what are the number values in the console? This what we're aiming to achieve in MD2R. Also, on another related topic, how did you manage to get rid of the ball shaped/oval glow around the emitter at the top of the hilt?
  9. Arbiter is by far the best one. There's also another version that looks similar, but is about 5x the size.. Not too keen on that one, though.
  10. Why are you posting this? There was already a thread, made on the forum about this. Please use the 'search' feature before creating duplicate threads.
  11. Ok, guys.. We need to ask a really BIG favour from someone. We desperately need an animator. Our current animator (@@Rilobax12) isn't able to help out until February, 2018 (which is a fair distance away), especially if we're looking to get the first, proper release of the mod out by 4th May. We need an animator to animate models in cut-scenes and assist with stances, while @@Sir Crusher works on the camera angles. Your name would also be included in the mod's credits, if requested. If you can help and are interested, we'd be happy to welcome you on-board. Once this is done, we can get the mod out for everyone to test and play. Thanks! **Edit ** @@yeyo JK, we need you back in the server, buddy. There's a list of various things to discuss.
  12. I was just making a clear and obvious point, that nobody who's done a Kylo Ren model, has managed to get his sleeves/arms accurate. I wasn't knocking Plasma/lervish’s model, at all. Then it all just seemed to "escalate" from there. We're not disrespecting lervish's model. You're just reading too much into what people are saying..
  13. Yes. It is a very decent model. But little things (as mentioned in my previous post about the "fat" sleeves) that stick out like a sore thumb.. They downgrade the model's overall quality and accuracy.. Which can, in-turn, ultimately, leave a bad taste. I'm not knocking the model in any way, but personally, I'm a sucker for authenticity & accuracy when it comes to movie representation, so I'm much more in favour of the recent work and models of what Psyk0Sith, dark_apprentice and The Punisher have shown. lervish and Plasma's iteration is more fitting to be a "placeholder" model.
  14. What "very fine version" are you referring to here, exactly?
  15. Holy shit, Punisher! Where'd you get that Kylo Ren from?
  16. That is a general misconception. Not all Dark Side Force users have yellow (Sith) eyes and pale skin. It just depends on what level the acts of "evil" are, that they've committed. Even a Force user/Sith who's been using the Dark Side for years or extended periods of time doesn't necessarily have the typical Sith appearance traits. Take Count Dooku, for example.
  17. Damn, Psyk!! That is one fine ass looking prototype. Yeah, I'd be extremely hyped if you ever rekindled your interest in finishing it.. And we'd sure love to see the end product. But finally.. Someone who's actually done his sleeves correctly. Well done, sir!
  18. Well, if you ever get the motivation to finish it off and complete it, you definitely should do. You certainly wouldn't have a lack of encouragement or enthusiasm behind you, that's for sure. Maybe not anytime soon, but possibly some time in the new year.. It could be something worth looking into. If your Darth Malgus model is anything to go by, it could be truly special.
  19. Real shame that, Psyk.. Would've loved to have seen it. Did you delete all your work for it or just have them lying around/stored somewhere?
  20. Well, we aim to please.. And any developments or additions, you'll hear about in this thread, first. So, watch this space. There's no release date yet, due to the mod still being in a heavy development phase. I think it's pretty safe to say a full release should be available by May 4th, 2018 (which will also coincide with Star Wars day). But this is also done, to work with our team and give them plenty of time to address specific things, when they can. We are also finding and coming across aspects that we can improve and have the assets to do so, even if it's something we hadn't originally planned on. But thanks for your support.
  21. This.. This is what I mean about his sleeves. Look at how they over-lap his gloves, just past the wrist. Somehow, nobody has managed to get this right, yet.
  22. 1. Make sure the .sab file *isn't* set to 'Read Only' in its Properties. 2. Failing point 1, when you go to save, instead click "Save As", - Save it as "(whatever the name is).sab.txt. File will then save correctly. - Go to file in Windows Explorer - Rename file and delete the extra ".txt" extension. - Confirm change. - Replace original file with newly edited/newly named file. Problem should be solved.
