This is the Jedi Temple as it appears in my to-be-released single player mod, without the scripts and single player assets themselves. Please feel free to point out any improvements that you feel could be made! See change log for update. If you encounter any bugs, let me know! Installation: Unzip the downloaded folder and place the .pk3 file within into the Base folder of your Jedi Academy directory. You can access the map by entering "/devmap yavin_temple_mp2" into the console, or selecting the map from the list of maps in the menu.- 23 comments

Hello! So, what I would like to do is create a male zabrak option for the species menu, only I cannot model; I'm looking for help from someone who can. Specifically, I would ask someone willing to create for me one or two variations of horn patterns on the Jedi_HM model, allowing the new Jedi_ZM to have access to the same wardrobe, while I provide a few facial/tattoo variations. The fellow in the picture below is Gary. Gary is ashamed that he does not have a crown on his head like other zabrak. Without a developing crown, Gary never experienced a true rite of passage and had to instead apply a cheap, temporary tattoo by himself. Please help Gary to better fit into iridonian society by raising awareness of the fact that he needs a model edit. #ABetterIridonia

I really like those new menu sounds; they're far less obnoxious than the originals. The music's a nice addition. I always brace myself to have my ears blasted off by the Base music whenever I've removed my usual edits. The music choice is a good one and sets a nice mood. ^.^ I agree that a change of video is a good thing, but it something just felt out of place with Hoth. The Raven's Claw arriving on Yavin IV from JK:O would probably be an ideal one, but that'd obviously have be put into the .pk3 as well. I wonder if you could have separate videos for MP and SP. Use the Wedge mission intro for MP (two x-wings) and use the Hoth one for SP (one x-wing.) File's a keeper!

If you're looking for things to do on the temple itself, why not some challenges? While I was reading at work, I was picturing something similar to Movie Duels. They use Mustafarr as their hub and you have access to a jump challenge, the ability to spawn a few things. I think it breaks up the pace a bit. There's already a remote/seeker room that currently spawns up to five of the pests. The duelling room can be used to have some one-on-ones with NPCs of varying difficulty, like so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2bdyC8wKCQ Thinking along other mapping routes, you could do one-offs to maybe repair sonic emitters (designed to keep creatures at bay) with an astromech companion, or someone like Rosh. A mission that doesn't involve any kind of real combat. Could we maybe recycle/repurpose Yavin1b for an area to return to?

No, I can see where you're coming from, @@Circa. I had similar thoughts and that lead me to making my expansion into a linear experience. I'm up for offering my temple, but I appreciate it's not as expansive as the other one. You're welcome to have a walk around it on a server somewhere and share thoughts.

That's fine. Straight after t1_inter seems like an ideal time to slot in a Jaden and Rosh mission, since Kyle picks the both of you up at once. I'll have a think and get back to you on pitches for that. In the mean time, one felt Jan's presence was lacking in Jedi Academy, so there're two things I have if they're of any use to you. The first is a modification to t2_rancor. The second is in the post-fight with Kyle if you want to include that short/sweet spat.

Just throwing this out there, but for a bonus mission, you're happy with self-contained and stand-alone, right? By this I mean, it doesn't have to contribute to a larger story arc in any significant way? Would said levels have to feature Jaden Korr, or are other options available, such as jedi/j2, Rosh, Kyle, Jan or Luke?

Hello! Shifting a few settings to make a night-time variant and I've noticed that the models/map_objects/yavin/yportal.md3 is still obnoxiously bright. I tried placing a negative light in there, but that doesn't appear to make a difference. Is there any way I can reduce the brightness on this?

Basically, I have some non-linear objectives and I'd like to trigger something only when all of the objectives are complete. What I'm looking for is an example of what to put into Icarus to achieve this. Thanks, guys! ^.^

Heya! Kept short, I'm using the SET_WEAPON command in Icarus to give the player a lightsaber. What I'd like to know is how to control which particular model and colour the player receives. Every tutorial I stumble across just basically says "Use SET_WEAPON WP_SABER to give the player a lightsaber." Thanks for your help, guys!
