Possibly. What about saber model files? Should you be able to change the paths for the skin files in a similar manner? I've done that with about 50/50 success rate as well. Ah, that might be the issue.

It doesn't work for me 50% of the time. Or at least it didn't when I was on Windows XP. It would turn the .glm into an unreadable file, and I couldn't even change it back. It was quite odd.

Good point. These ideas aren't necessarily going to all be implemented at once. That would be a disaster. We're trying to find new ways to involve the community, one idea at a time. This thread (and a few others that have been made) is to get some feed back on some of the ideas we had. With that said, we discuss everything internally before going to the public.

I demand for this to be continued, and I'd love to help if I could. Though the ones you need are the mappers that made all the amazing Star Wars movies maps.

Not sure. If it is, it will use the default .gla instead of the custom one. Custom .gla's are for SP only, as far as I know.

What kind of things would you want us to do? Hosting competitive events? What do all the competitive players do on their own sites and forums? I like the idea of interviewing and help spread the word, but what else? The reason this place is made for modders, is because of the Downloads feature, and the forums, for fellow modders to help each other out with their mods. It was understandable that it wasn't a priority when it first came out, the priority was the file system. Now that it's been over a year (and different staff), we are open to suggestions regarding these sorts of things. Obviously we aren't all that familiar with competitive play, so enlighten us on your ideas for this.

Yes, use a hex editor and change the .gla file path to a custom one. Though sometimes using a hex editor doesn't work.

You don't need the quality setting anyway. The cutoff frequency is what you want. Although that high pass if crap. You'd be better off using the Equalizer, so you can see it better. Just treat it like a High Pass and cut the lower frequencies out. Like this: Just mess with it a bit until you find the sound you want.
