  1. We have over 2000 files. Let's face it, there were a lot of reborn and HS Anakin reskins that took up a lot of the numbers jkfiles had. BUT you took my sentence out of context. Read the second half of it and you'll see I would agree with you.

    JK3Files Shuts Down

If you have been around the Jedi Knight community for very long, no doubt you have heard of and have visited jk3files.com. It was the center of the JK modding scene. JK3Files.com was a "Network Site" of the FileFront community. They hosted many modding related sites, as well as a central forum. Eventually, they were picked up by Break Media, and FileFront became GameFront. Because of the turnover, the creators of the network sites weren't around to maintain them, and the new staff didn't know how or had time to learn how to maintain and repair the sites. Over time this became more of a burden than it was worth, and this week Break Media and GameFront have terminated the network sites. What does this mean? JK3Files.com is gone. According to the GameFront staff, the files that were hosted are still intact in their file archive system, but not for long. Those too will be removed soon, and only the most popular ones will remain, most likely. Bad news for us, because the most popular mods are already hosted here. One of the main missions of JKHub was to create a safe and functional place for those mods to remain, but we could only host them if the creators had given us permission to do so. We are slowly trying again in some cases but many mod authors are nowhere to be found with what little contact info we get in a readme file from 10 years ago. It's sad to see the network sites like JK3Files go, but at least the Wayback Machine has them preserved for us to return to any time we like. You can access that here. You can read the official announcement from the GameFront staff below or at this link. mrwonko has kindly supplied a really nice mirror website for the files from jk3files. Take a look at this link: http://mrwonko.de/jk3files/ Click here to view the article

  4. Figured that was going to happen soon. Unfortunately the only main mirror that exists of jk2files is corrupted. Unless someone else had a local back up of everything that I'm not aware of. If someone is going to back up the files, it'll need to be done ASAP because those files will be deleted soon, from what I understand. Network sites are gone but the files on GF's archive are still there. It's good that we have the majority of JK mods hosted here on JKHub, but there are a lot still needing to be uploaded, if ever. Only reason they aren't is because of the authors' wishes.
  5. Welcome!
  6. Bioware is currently developing a new Star Wars game, aren't they? Could be something similar to KOTOR 3 of sorts.

    TFU Stormie

Spaces don't work for NPCs, so that can't be right.
  8. I'm pretty sure you can still play games offline though. Haven't tested but there is offline mode in Steam.
  9. Nothing from Steam is DRM free.
  10. Its possible that they could update KOTOR 1 again with all the additions they made to KOTOR 2, and then also port to Linux. KOTOR 1 was one of the first games they ported to Mac, along with JK2 and JKA. Also, they only just opened their Linux studio within the past year or so, from what I understand. It's possible they could revisit it. Looks good so far! Loving the native resolution on my Retina MacBook. http://i.imgur.com/qbPOI1H.png
  11. DT is a bit excited I see.
  12. The day has finally come. Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords is now fully native on Mac and Linux! In addition to that, they've brought some much needed features to all versions, including widescreen and larger resolution support AND controller support. I think there is Steam Workshop support too? This is why I love Aspyr. http://blog.gameagent.com/knights-of-the-old-republic-sequel-comes-to-mac-and-linux/ Available on Steam and Mac App Store. I think if you have it for PC on Steam already, you'll automatically download the update. EDIT: they wrote an article on how to install mods on the Mac version, which they even have their own installer for the Restored Content Mod. http://blog.gameagent.com/how-to-install-mods-for-star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-ii-on-the-mac/
  13. Looks really good. Strange seeing her look more realistic with normal sized eyes, but you pulled it off well.
  14. Well I was planning on downloading your backup as a second mirror until I noticed most files were corrupted. If I were into the coding business I would help out with a bot that does such a thing.
  15. Well DT and Ashura have been itching to create content for rend2, so I'm sure you'll get something within the week.
  16. If it's a MBII issue, you might try asking on their forums for help. http://community.moviebattles2.com/
  17. This is all they have to show for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnvYioor-dw Basically they didn't get anywhere. It's because they use IP.Board, the same forum software we use. As far as HD stuff goes, you'll be better off teaming up with people there, at Deadly Streaming. They know the game better than anyone.
  18. .warnbox { background: #e3f6e5 url( images/icons/exclamation.png ) no-repeat 9px 10px; border: 1px solid #b4e3b9; color: #475949; } Moved to Off Topic forum. People have already been working on texture recreations for years now. There was a group of students aiming to remake the game on a whole new engine as part of a project last year, and had no prior modding experience to do so. They expected it to be done within a year's time. A year. Needless to say, it didn't even a tad bit close. Like JKHub is to the JK community, Deadly Streaming is to the KOTOR community. You can head over there and poke around in the active KOTOR modding community. They can help you out.
  19. @@Syko I've noticed that the majority of the files in your archive are corrupted. I've tested multiple and they all give me a corrupted error. Or is it just me?

    Tatooine Sky

Downside is, baseJKA only allows for 2048 (or is it 1024) pixels as a maximum resolution for textures. That's why this still isn't amazing quality like I wanted. Anything else requires OpenJK. An HD Skybox mod might be in the works soon, but would require OpenJK to use.
  21. 1,261 downloads

This mod changes the desert skybox to look more like Tatooine, complete with two suns and a vast dune sea. The default one looks pretty bad, so this hopefully improves it a little. If you’re a stickler for detail of Star Wars canon, this mod is for you. Originally made this as a request to add a second star to the sky but decided to improve the entire skybox and release it publicly. Important note: The Desert skybox is used by other maps, so it’ll change those as well. One major one is t1_danger in single player. So it might look bad on there, but if you’re a MP player, it shouldn’t be a big deal.
  22. Welcome to JKHub!
  23. All our work is done via a forum here on JKHub. Won't be any different than what you've done here, but your work will go towards a bigger project, and you'll be making a map that is on our list of maps that need to be made. Pretty simple. It's a Star Wars related project if that makes a difference. We need more mappers before we make it public.
  24. Wait. You made that? Like...recently? Is this the first time you're posting about it? You need to be putting these talents towards bigger projects! PM me if you're interested in mapping for a SP project.
