  1. Well, considering that she also breaks the fourth wall, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    She actually says the following:

Yeah, yeah, it's a pretty silly ending. Nothing to be done about it now. In Wild Force it's just as silly:

you either join the Empire and attack the Rebel base, dying in the process, or you join the Rebellion, and defend the Rebel base, dying in the process. Only good thing is that you get to go down fighting this time, and that there's a bonus level, though I'm not sure how the game decides who gets to see it.

That...just makes me want to use the Dark Side ending cause I want it to be serious. And I played the ending of Wild Force ONCE. I couldn't understand a thing but from the actions that were shown to me, the main character's sacrifice was supposed to mean something.

  2. It's good if you like a challenge, but the assemblage nature of the mod (it's a mish-mash of npcs that don't always feel in their place) and the mature themes might not be for everyone. The plot is kinda meh, but it's at least more-or-less well executed. The voice-over is better than in Communication Force, and it has some interesting ideas, but overall, the plot is kinda forgettable. Also, at least one of the levels (brothel level) requires the completion of the goals in a particular sequence, otherwise you'll get stuck. Also, some of the music will not work for more hardcore SW fans. Players' biggest complaint was the npc's - Mara Jade standing next to Padme Amidala. :D

Communication Force is more vanilla, npc-wise. The voice-overs are pathetic, but it's entertaining in its own way, and likewise, has challenges. What most people didn't like about it was the anticlimactic ending, though personally, I was satisfied. If you can find the 'patch' for it, you should grab that too. It doesn't patch anything in particular, just gives the protagonist the red team-skin as default, the lightsaber blade is orange by default, and there's a modified animation, maybe some of the strings are corrected, I don't remember - just for the sake of a full experience (right).

Wild Force (also a NDG mod, but for JKA) is somewhat better executed, but the plot is terrible, some of the levels are directly torn out of JKA, the ending is lame, and some mission goals are just confusing. If the Yuuzhang Vong are not your cup of tea, it might also be a turn-off, though they're not actually featured in the mod, just mentioned.

I'm actually translating it into English right now.

Anyway, all three have been uploaded onto here, unless I'm mistaking.

You are not mistaken about Communication Force and Lady Jedi, but Wild Force is on moddb only. That CAN change, though.

And I kinda saw the light sided ending of Lady Jedi.

:spoilers: She...calls Luke his buddy and that's it...? Wha...?

  3. Hello,

My name is Fokai. I have previously posted some of my film content on here.

I have noticed there has never been an official Jedi Academy Film Festival. I am not sure why that is, especially when ent's JAMME tool is available to us.

It would be nice to see people sharing their works.

    What do you guys think?

I was wondering if you were alive. :) This actually could give people opportunities to show off their JKA videos. Whether it be an ongoing machinima like what I'm doing or a film, it could be good to show around. Give people some interaction with hopes of improving their own work by exchanging notes. :D

  4. Mate, really appreciate it! Do you have discord to just shoot the breeze about this stuff? I actually love it - here's a  project I filmed in 2014 utilizing your aforementioned tricks. Only took me 10 days  :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdjmKBEmnJY&

I had no idea you did Fallout stuff back then, dude. But then again, I never went back that far just yet. And yeah, I have a discord. You might have seen me on the KOTF 2.1 and Movie Duels 2 Remastered Discord. :) Same name as on here, just look for the emblem. I tend to have it wherever I go. ^_^

  5. It's a crazy bug. Even when I gave the minemonster it's proper sounds (just like I did with the flying thingy), it still kept doing those odd sounds in multiplayer. It's quite odd.

Also @@TheWhitePhoenix @@Delta-573 and anybody else that cares, the animation menu has been updated! Stay tuned for when the moderators approve the new file!

  6. Luke pulls Starkiller's lightsaber out of his grip and slashes across his mask

Luke shoots force lightning at Starkiller, seemingly gaining the advantage, but Starkiller blocks Luke's lightning and starts to move his lightsaber through the force unbeknownst to Luke

I...think I know how this is going to go. But Luke could also dodge it and the saber could stab Starkiller in the head instead. You never know.

  7. Hey there,

I have an upcoming video series I wanted to test filming. I wanted to know if anyone in the community know who still films Machinima in JK? Mouth movement and rigging isn't really necessary - I wanted to get cinematic filming of in game in the games.

Link to me Youtube channel for legitimacy http://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_FoXwVjRM9qgMvNeh92b0g?view_as=subscriber

    Thank you!

Been a Machinima maker for a long time, Dash. Recently started on season two of my most recent series, which you can watch here if you want: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/thewhitephoenix/

Now...if you want to film in JKA for a machinima, be sure to use keybinds for console commands as they are vital. Say you need to noclip to move the camera around during scenes such as watching npcs fight or scenes where the character is "talking", you bind that command to your n key. Say you want to freeze and unfreeze npcs, bind d_npcfreeze 1 to v, d_npcfreeze 0 to b. I also recommend binding commands for meditate, taunt, gloat and flourish if you need those commands as well as the give force command if you want UNLIMITED POWA!!!! I also recommend for keybinds to put undying on so you can take damage, but not die. This in turn makes it seem like your character is in pain. Also, hide the hud with cg_draw2d 0, but be sure to turn it back on incase you need it when not filming. cg_drawhud won't work cause the cursor will still be present, and that takes away from the immersion.

You will also need knowledge in modifying NPC files and Saber files, if you want custom stuff for certain characters. Learning that isn't actually hard at all and is quite easy when you get down to it. There's some tutorials on the hub you can use if you want to be sure. And if you want to get into the nitty and gritty, I suggest you learn how to do skinning or even your own frankensteins. @@Maui Made a tutorial a while back which shows how to use Blender for JKA frankensteins. If you wish to go an extra mile, here's his playlist.

For mods you need, you can use this one by @@Noodle if you want to use certain animations for characters to use that aren't normally accessable: https://jkhub.org/files/file/3280-animations-menu-for-sp-beta/

You will also need a mod that can modify the camera. While KOTF 2.1 has something like that, I'd recommend this (which you can also use with KOTF) since it has more options: https://jkhub.org/files/file/1829-camsp/

AND finally, you will need something like this if you want npcs to remain still or for some other special things you want it to do, I'd recommend using this badass: https://jkhub.org/files/file/3206-singleplayer-runscripts/

Finally, you will also need a capture program like Bandicam that can capture the JKA window. I recommend Bandicam cause if you want to film for a set time (if you play in windowed mode like I do), you can watch how much time has passed since recording and then stop when that time you want to record for is reached. Just a forewarning that the free version only records for 10 minutes and has the bandicam icon on every shot, but that's no big deal since I'm sure you can get the full version. Unless you have a recording program already that is capable, as I'm sure you already do.

    Good luck, Dash. :)

  8. Well the first one I immediately think of is the most recent one: Battlefront II (2017). You play as Luke, Han, Leia, and Lando in at least one mission each. Sure its not a whole game focused on just one of them, but it counts.

Vader and Palpatine were main antagonists in the TFU games.

Luke and Lando are in JK2 and JKA.

I don't really think it's fair to rule out Nintendo games, because now you made my statement pointless. Those games definitely still count as video games. You said "no one wants to use the OT main characters" which I guess you meant as an exaggeration rather than fact? Because there are several, but if you're referring to games made on certain systems then that's a different complaint.

I think he meant in the state of the ENTIRE GAME being from Luke, Han or Leia's point of view. That was never done before.

  9. Modding is a hobby. Unless people have the power to shut down what you're doing, ignore whatever drama they might spout because their opinion is meaningless. You don't seem like one of those sensitive people that stop doing stuff because an autist on the web threw a fit, so don't empower them by paying attention to them.

Fame and acknowledgement on a JK modding forum is as relevant as the first prize in Mongolia's national throat singing contest.

Are we talking about a youtuber or something?

Also, whenever there's Internet Drama, remember the wise words of Tyler the creator:

    JH65NB3.png

Wise words, yet people are so addicted to social media and such they find it hard. It's like an addiction cause of dopamine hits. That's actually a real thing.

If I may @ & @@Tompa9, this entire statement the guy made comes off as projection IMO cause he didn't get the notoriety that you guys are getting. The thing is you guys don't let it get to your heads. He obviously would have. Too bad for him.

  11. I'll never understand the drama with porting, I mean people just need to calm the f*** down and be patient. Jeff you do incredible work whether it is a full port or a frankenstein, everything takes time and some people just don't get that. I know you are happy to receive requests, but when requests keep piling on top of each other with impatience it becomes an issue. Jeff keep doing what you do best on your time, you don't owe anything to anyone just because you are good at something. :)

100% Agreed. I've always appreciated what @@Jeff and @@The Punisher and other porters have done for the community and yet people find some reason to panic and go off on them. They don't get enough thanks and I think that should change, because them giving their own time to bring us material that we can use that we otherwise never would've gotten is something to greatly appreciate. :)

  12. I just realized, the closest thing we have to the Crait hair would be the Ach-To version of Luke you did, Tompa. Only without the lower part of the mullet and the grey hair color :D

Edit: tried to illustrate my point. Colors are probably wrong (colorblind) but yeah, this is what I mean.

Again, I'm not saying it's bad, I'm saying it can be even better than it already is.

I would say that is definitely a nice criticism.

Yeah...I'm still in bafflement about that myself, to be honest. Growth spurts must've been working overtime when Jaden hit puberty.

you are zeroing on small details, plus it is Jeffs time,  you can't have him do as you please.

However, I am sure that if you asked in a more polite way, you would have received a different response.
