  1. I decided. Today i will show you the new screens and entire progress after long break. There are some issues i want to point out and also i want to make entire credit list and tag creators who decided to help me or i didnt asked them or didnt mention them. I want to be 100% sure and ok with you.

But remember. I am modding this entire thing alone and i have a lot of work nowadays so dont except stuff too often ;)

You don't have to worry, cause having a lot of IRL work is an accepted excuse (because it's a given as we all have work IRL to take care of) for not being on and working on this often. It makes the excitement for when you do work on it grow more when you start up again.

  2. This reminds me of ffa_conundrum from DKS. I have this level for JK2, with readme if anyone wants it

Used to download stuff I couldn't get from anywhere else from DKS when they were still around. I'd like ffa_conundrum and speaking of DKS, do you have anything else from their now lost trove of JKA/JK2 treasures?

  3. For those who want Jedi Outcast, use the usual process for the JKO/JKA mods out there and they will work just fine with KOTF. Just make sure you bought JKO legitimately and you won't have a problem. But as for the mod including it itself, NO.

  4. Because that stuff doesn't fit at all. Jeff considers porting models that could fit in the SW Universe, like some Skyrim armors etc. That shit ain't gonna get ported.

If you want to port something from an anime game, you'd better ask another porter. I can understand wanting some other models from other games, but for some like Jeff, models like that are too lore breaking. And I share that mindset unless if it's for certain situations.

  5. ...and all most of the negative comments on it came from Russian spies and American neo-nazis.

In a sociological study of twitter comments, it was revealed that 21.9% out of 50.9% of all the negative comments came from Russian trolls and bots, who want to divide the American people and stir shit up, and American alt-right activists who want to further promote support of Trump.

I don't know whether to laugh or to cry at this, I mean, people actually spend resources and become famous (even if only for five minutes) trying to prove such bullshit.

    Read about it here.

Well, if you know about this guy in particular, his response essentially says it all about the excuses they're making.

"grand-scale mod announcement'' seriously? you have nothing to show right now

this is like one of those SharkTank episodes where someone asks for 1 mil and has no sales

That's exactly what I was thinking. No images, no previews, just a request to join a discord server. This shit is starting to scream an attempt to do what TimFX did with KOTF before @@Fire Phoenix and @@Linken took it off his cold hands and made it right. I'm literally having my eyebrow raised to the point where it touches the ceiling and I'm sure everyone else is at this point.

  7. Hello people,

I am TDG, an abbreviation for The Dutch Ghost (rather boring story how I came up with that nickname), I would like to introduce myself on this forum. I'm a Jedi Knight fan from the Netherlands.

I started playing the series back in the 90s some time after the first Dark Forces came out (it was already on budget re release). When Dark Forces 2 Jedi Knight was announced I eagerly awaited for it and later on its expansion pack Mysteries of the Sith.

Since then I have been pretty loyal to the series, picking up Jedi Knight Outcast and Jedi Academy as soon as they were released. Sadly it took a while before I could properly play it due to my older computer. I respect Dark Forces Jedi Knight for what it did for the series but my favorites remain Outcast and Academy.

As for the rest of the Star Wars universe, I am rather selective on what I like and what I do not like. Going to be honest I am not a fan of the Prequel trilogy or the Disney movies and regarding the EU, most of the material I like is from before the Phantom Menace was released with the exception of the Jedi Knight games and the two KOTOR games.

For a long time the Thrawn Trilogy books were the standard by which I judged EU material but I am starting to see the flaws in that. Still it is a pretty good SW book series

Sadly I am not a modder, I never took the time or had the patience to learn a skill despite that I really would like to make games including mods for other games.

I primarily found out about this site through my friend NumberWan's project The Dark Pastime.

I will probably post in the topics regarding lore and ideas as I sadly don't have any technical knowledge that could be helpful to anyone.

Seems you're an older Expanded Universe Bird, as you got into it when Dark Forces was just getting off the ground. Welcome. :)

  8. Ah, so I understood you correctly, more or less. Back in the day there were several of these, though they weren't exactly high-poly or big tiddy. Not all of them at least.

There was a species of Sith reskinned jedi_hf with gray skin, red eyes, and skimpy clothing. There was another species of female human called Mistress Ivy, or something like that: basically a dominatrix species with several hair styles and dominatrix outfit variations - this one was of higher poly than the vanilla models, but was still kinda wonky.

If I haven't thrown out my old cd where I save a bunch of mods, I might just upload 'em here, for posterity, since not all of them can be found anywhere anymore (not just those lewd mods, I think I only had like one or two saved). I did upload them to my dropbox back in the day, some of you's actually saved a bunch from there, as I recall.

I haven't. You got a link to your dropbox?

  9. Is it possible to mak a mod for JA/JO which Makes force grip work similar to the way it works in The Force Unleashed ? (With the ability to move enemies horizontally and vertically and be able to throw them like in TFU but with animation restriction like the wii version of FU 2 since JA doesn't have euphoria )

    2. I would also love to get a FU 2 force mindtrick upgrade in JA/JO. (Enemies either fight their comrades or making suicidal jump into pits) is it possible ?

extra: Is it also possible to make enemies "hit" the wall when being force pushed near it ?

I wouldn't mind that as long as Mind Trick 4 is kept. Mind Trick 4 is useful for machinima purposes or a good laugh if you want to make NPCs jump off a cliff yourself.

  10. So I've had this idea in my head for a bit, but I was wondering if someone could make this: https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/3/36/YoungObiWan-JA01.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20061214161403

It looks to be a blend of Obi-Wan's first and third Lightsaber designs, which is actually an interesting concept. Even though there wasn't (as far as I'm aware) in-lore "lore" about this as it might just be artwork, it would be nice to have if anyone is interested.

  11. The best compensation to GET PAST the whole piracy thing @@Linken mentioned is to do what essentially made the JKO/JKA mods work: Port the Assets over to the JKA base, rename them 0_assets0 etc, then...you're good. JUST MAKE SURE you own BOTH games. If you own both games, then that's okay as far as I know. But having KOTF itself host the mod, no. Not gonna happen.

  12. Well, the Dark Side ending isn't too different in Lady Jedi. If you choose to attack Luke and run toward him, the screen fades to black, then we see Mariel lying on the floor, bleeding out, and as she dies, she narrates a similar text, except it's from a regretful point of view; in a nutshell: "The Emperor was wrong, Luke is indeed the greatest Jedi, and I'm gonna die now, and no one will remember me"

As to Wild Force, yes, it's supposed to mean something. My point is that it was kind of lazy to have the same ending regardless of choice. Kinda like it happened with Mass Effect 3, you know?

Mass Effect 3...so much potential to lead to so little conclusion....
