  1. I suggest a different config file for different gametypes, one that doesn't have a timelimit and cycles through your choice of maps, or none at all.
  2. Well, it'd just resume the cycle no matter what map you manually changed to. For example if you were on FFA3 (In the cycle I posted) and changed to Jedi's Home, after the timelimit passes, it'll go to FFA4.
  3. Here is what JAWA uses seta g_autoMapCycle 0 seta m1 "set g_gametype 0; map mp/ffa3 ; set nextmap vstr m2" seta m2 "set g_gametype 0; map mp/ffa4 ; set nextmap vstr m3" seta m3 "set g_gametype 0; map mp/ffa5 ; set nextmap vstr m4" seta m4 "set g_gametype 0; map mp/ffa1 ; set nextmap vstr m5" seta m5 "set g_gametype 0; map mp/ffa2 ; set nextmap vstr m1" vstr m1 As you can see, our cycle begins on ffa3. The "vstr m1" begins this cycle and at the end of m5, it sends it back to m1 thus making a loop.
  4. Ah this, yeah its circulated around the usual people and thus become more popular lately. I believe JACoders are aware of it, at least Raz is any way.
  5. Awesome to see IGL in action, it was in a lull for a veeery long time.
  6. Almost positive this is possible... I've done it a few times by accident. I believe the way I did it was to hit autosave JUST as a cinematic begins then load that saved game.
  7. They've been doing this for a very very long time, hardly anything new and definitely doesn't represent what to expect from Star Wars in the future XD
  8. Whilst I can sit down and think of something eventually, usually my most creative thoughts come from when I'm not trying to force myself to come up with ideas e.g. I could be studying and read something that catches my imagination, then suddenly I've drawn some vector art or set up a photography shot relating to that inspiration. I'm no mapper but that's how I approach ideas for my own projects.
  9. Saiaku planned to do this for JKHub a few months back, unsure if he's still working on it or not. For now though, JediTracker (Google) works just as well I;d say I spoke to Slider about JA+ being down and he knew nothing about Mammoth Games vanishing either (It hosts a few JK websites/servers)
  10. I miss the old JKFiles from the 2005-2007 era, there was always new stuff and it seemed like a well oiled machine. Sadly it is currently the polar opposite.
  11. Ah okay, thanks for clearing that up.
  12. Forgive me if I'm incorrect here but I remember reading somewhere that Raven got a third party to do quite a lot of their maps and only a few were actually done by themselves. Is this true and if so, is there any difference in quality e.g. caulking where needed?
  13. Yeah, I'm surprised it's not working as it used to for me last year.
  14. I remember when I was uploading the files to JKHub, it was slightly frustrating that IPB doesn't determine the filesize for linked files... there is a way around it though but at the time I was uploading 800 files XD so I avoided it. Basically, you need to upload the file to the website, then delete it, then link to it... rather than just linking.
  15. I must say I liked this a lot, however the floor texture on the main areas on mp/ffa3 is really terrible in my opinion... at least for a replacement. Looks very much out of place
  16. In terms of Steam, is it at all possible to patch people with any upgrades via that? Or will a standalone installer be used that covers both the CD version and Steam version?
  17. Amazing news also, remember to apply the fixes listed in the JKHub patch discussion as well
  18. I still have the original discs but I made them into virtual images, much easier to manage and my disc 1 was becoming more and more scratched by the day
  19. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Probably the best news for the JKA community in a long time. I must ask though from a non code modder, what will this potentially mean? In terms of the big scope of things.
  20. Lmao never noticed Kyle's ... throbbing... uh yeah
  21. Version v2

    161 downloads

I decided to make a new chat icon since I've never been too fond of JKA's original. Big thanks to @Ruxith for making it animated with shaders came out great. Simply extract the pk3 to your japlus folder or your base folder, whichever you prefer. Apologies about the poor quality of the gif below... imgur tends to make everything lesser quality... it IS transparent as well. Edit - Also, the gif below is a little inaccurate now as of the latest version, it displays no dots, then 1, 2, 3 and repeats rather than always having 1 dot.
  22. Usually once a day although I tend not to post much.
