  1. Perhaps @@Caelum would be able to help you with this I think he does monthly though.

  3. When we trialled the server-side, we were very happy with how it ran apart from admin being a bit awkward to use (Login/account wise) but I believe that has been taken care of if I am reading Raz's post correctly. You know what would be beneficial to users, @@Raz0r? A page with functionality currently in the server-side release e.g. all the features of JA+ you do/don't plan to add along with the features you have added... these could be highlighted in red and green so people are fully aware of what they're replacing their server with. Amber could also be used to show what you are working on currently, so people can see. Whether people like it or not, JA+ still seems to be the most favoured mod in the game, so catering to familiarity and being clear will allow the server-side to take off easily as a viable replacement... because JA+ definitely DOES need replacing due to its author vanishing.
  4. I thought the same about the client-side, but it is much more complete than the JA+ client at this point I'd say.
  5. When I was helping with development of JKHub, I spoke to RichDiesel and he was more than happy for us to host his work. I planned to copy over everything from the Wayback Machine but had to step down from my post due to Uni commitments.
  6. XD glad you guys like it. I put a mark2 (Invisible NPC from JKO) in the walls, then using my modified animation (Supplied by Wawel) I simply killed the NPC as it hit the wall, which causes a small explosion

    Congratulations !
  8. Funnily enough, myself and Caelum (When setting up the Files area) decided against readmes, simply for the fact that it contains duplicate information. All the information that is included in the readme can be found in the description of the file or in the right corner of the file on JKHub itself. I'm not against re-adding readmes but personally it just seems like extra work for no real advantage. Of course, if you've used someone elses work then it makes sense to include their readme (If they have one, or a simple link to their file would be more than enough).
  9. I believe if you use the "Internet Archive" for japlus.net, you'll get the fully working calculator you seek
  10. Oh my godddd I loved this... haven't seen it in years
  11. To be honest, I haven't seen many decent hosts which offer Windows... it's mostly just Linux and buying your own dedicated server with Windows will cost you. I'm surprised Lugormod/Makermod don't have Linux alternatives, is it difficult to "convert" a code mod or something?
  12. Ugh not to be a complete mood killer but the total conversion graveyard is pretty full up, do we need any more ?
  13. Odd, I haven't experienced any difficulties with Windows 8 and JKA... Unsure about gtk/jk2 though.
  14. Well I could always host a server on an Amazon instance whenever you need it, although thinking about it, it might be costly... So perhaps not XD In terms of the fighting scenes I did, they were just carefully planned between each frame... although I always wanted to do a serious video with some really epic fighting that is actually original.
  15. Sure, I have 6 weeks off work so I could help out probably. Experience: http://www.youtube.com/user/Link642006 Plus I have most of the MP3's renamed for all the main characters of JKA e.g. 001kyl4.mp3 becomes "WHY JADEN" etc I could also help with the server if needed.
  16. This is not a reflection of what the movies will be like... but it does make me cringe to see the franchise being milked like this.
  17. I suggest a different config file for different gametypes, one that doesn't have a timelimit and cycles through your choice of maps, or none at all.
  18. Well, it'd just resume the cycle no matter what map you manually changed to. For example if you were on FFA3 (In the cycle I posted) and changed to Jedi's Home, after the timelimit passes, it'll go to FFA4.
  19. Here is what JAWA uses seta g_autoMapCycle 0 seta m1 "set g_gametype 0; map mp/ffa3 ; set nextmap vstr m2" seta m2 "set g_gametype 0; map mp/ffa4 ; set nextmap vstr m3" seta m3 "set g_gametype 0; map mp/ffa5 ; set nextmap vstr m4" seta m4 "set g_gametype 0; map mp/ffa1 ; set nextmap vstr m5" seta m5 "set g_gametype 0; map mp/ffa2 ; set nextmap vstr m1" vstr m1 As you can see, our cycle begins on ffa3. The "vstr m1" begins this cycle and at the end of m5, it sends it back to m1 thus making a loop.
  20. Ah this, yeah its circulated around the usual people and thus become more popular lately. I believe JACoders are aware of it, at least Raz is any way.
  21. Almost positive this is possible... I've done it a few times by accident. I believe the way I did it was to hit autosave JUST as a cinematic begins then load that saved game.
  22. They've been doing this for a very very long time, hardly anything new and definitely doesn't represent what to expect from Star Wars in the future XD
  23. Whilst I can sit down and think of something eventually, usually my most creative thoughts come from when I'm not trying to force myself to come up with ideas e.g. I could be studying and read something that catches my imagination, then suddenly I've drawn some vector art or set up a photography shot relating to that inspiration. I'm no mapper but that's how I approach ideas for my own projects.
  24. Saiaku planned to do this for JKHub a few months back, unsure if he's still working on it or not. For now though, JediTracker (Google) works just as well I;d say I spoke to Slider about JA+ being down and he knew nothing about Mammoth Games vanishing either (It hosts a few JK websites/servers)
