When you log in there should be a "sign in anonymously" check box just under the remember me check box. If it's not there we'll have to have Caelum poke it.
If you know how to use MD3View to view the tag orientation you don't really need to have the lightsaber blade turned on unless you're changing the default length and want to make sure it's long enough. That's usually when a weapon gets imbalanced, though.
They can be used very tastefully with the non-default textures but it's also important to keep in mind what you're trying to create. My gun is significantly battle-worn -- why would it be THAT shiny? lol A specular shader does just fine for this.

Search the internet harder. Or even search JKHub harder. eezstreet made an interesting post about this in another thread (mainly about how com_hunkmegs does absolutely nothing and the error is caused by lazy coding, as I recall). Currently there's no fix, as far as I know.
His arms look like they're bending in the middle of the humerus. That can't feel good. o.O The anatomy of the legs also looks quite off - lower leg looks much longer than the upper leg, and . Might take a poke at that. What are you using for reference images?
This is a dumb question (but those are the ones that always stump me) but did it come with an installation CD? Your computer isn't recognizing it which usually means a driver issue. Are you also sure it's compatible with your version of windows?
Too much detail for such a simple gun amg D: For starters, those edge loops in the barrel aren't contributing to the shape and it's not going to be deforming. Remove them. Chat me up for more specifics later if you want.
Of course that's what it is. Duh. But in terms of what it REALLY is, it's the same hand that's on every other gun. Somehow the angle of it points out how much it sucks because I don't think I changed anything about the mesh, texture, or shader.
