  4. So rigged it up and tested a BASIC texture & shader. Looks ok, I think.
  5. Will probably need some tweaks before I texture, but good enough to get it in-game. Quick, somebody make me a stance that'll show it off real gud!
  6. Luckily it's by design not supposed to rest on the arm, so that gives me a lot of freedom to make it look right. 8)
  7. Mesh complete, I think, except for maybe some resizing. Gonna go stuff it in-game before I texture it I think so I don't waste a lot of time if the proportions are off. They're based on the actual in-game model, but lord knows the JK3 models have special proportions.

  14. New project, now that the Valiant is complete. The mesh is not done -- it's still missing several pieces.

  16. I wouldn't mind if they completely forget JO and JA ever happened and make the sequel they should have made to Jedi Knight. Raven completely destroyed the series.
  17. Yeah I've never had any problems or had to replace any parts, and I've had mine probably for 4 or 5 years now as well.
  18. I use a 6" by 4" bamboo graphics tablet & pen. I'm a layer whore -- the PSD I have is 167 layers in 16 groups and is 4.30mb (the size itself isn't actually too bad, mostly because the resolution is smaller).
  19. Final texmap, if anybody wants a look w/o downloading. All done by hand - no filters on anything and no photosourcing.
  20. You build for the medium you're using. Increasing the texture map size when the ultimate medium is going to be Jedi Academy would be a waste of resources. It also taught me to paint with much more limited resources than I would use otherwise. I don't think it looks low-res in JA at all, which was the whole point. 512x512 is still very standard in most games. Using higher res textures is typically a waste.
