  1. I'm using 3ds max and zbrush.
  2. This is what the 'report broken file' link is for, just by the way. Also turns out I can't type. Should be fixed.
  3. Ahaha I want my boobs to play music. ... ... ... Not. Breasts already serve a purpose. I don't like this scientist very much.
  4. So I played around with some more sculpting. I have decided I like zbrush. A lot. (No meshsmooth on this time.)
  5. Four times.
  6. So I tossed shep's head through zbrush (and sculpted some of the features a little better, I think) and it cleaned up a lot of the polyflow. Thoughts? Old is on the right, new is on the left.
  7. Behold, I have finally gotten around to releasing it! https://jkhub.org/files/file/1336-m-98-widow-anti-material-rifle/ Feel free to try it out and comment. The Valiant and the Shepard are still in the works.
  8. 798 downloads

This gun is a custom replica of the M-98 Widow Anti-Material Rifle first introduced in Mass Effect two. Two versions are available - the standard Widow and the Black Widow. There is no difference between these two guns beyond the look. The weapon features custom sounds, strings, firing and projectile effects, and icons. These two files both overwrite the same gun, so obviously you can only use one at a time. Please select the skin you would like (view the screenshots to see the difference) and place that file in your base folder. You can keep the other file in a subfolder if you want to switch back and forth at some time in the future. Please note that the Mass Effect Scope mod is included with this file and will not need to be downloaded separately. If you have it already in your base folder you may remove it. Below is a short video showcasing the new firing effects. Note: There is also now a recoil animation that is not shown in the video below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOeuRNOQX2Y Other recommended Mass Effect mods: https://jkhub.org/files/file/1296-%7B%3F%7D/ https://jkhub.org/files/file/1286-%7B%3F%7D/ https://jkhub.org/files/file/95-%7B%3F%7D/ https://jkhub.org/files/file/94-%7B%3F%7D/
  9. A higgs boson?
  10. Maybe a silly question, but is the game udpated?
  11. Don't discourage people from making mods just because you don't personally enjoy the game type.
  12. So wait, which part of this are you actually making yourself?
  13. I need no credit.
  14. My paintovers are from the game screenshots, and I keep ME3 open on my second monitor while I model. Also will likely not be making femshep. [insert disappointed 'boos' here] Need I say more?
  15. I found it a lot easier to start with a drawing that had my edge loops drawn out already, then I used a plane and blocked it all out. I think most folks do edge modeling for heads though, to be honest. That's what I did for the second half of mine.
  16. @@OmegaSigma, I swear you're like my only fan haha.
  17. Haven't had a chance to do a lot today, but I did do a lot more shaping on the legs. Not that you can really tell...
  18. Dude, no one's degrading you. We're helping you. If you don't want your work critiqued feel free to say so in the first post and we'll leave your threads alone. Mini and I are trying to help you improve - I'm just telling you I'm not going to waste my time giving you pointers if they're not going to be listened to because that's an extra five minutes I could spend working on my own models. Don't get the impressed that I'm offended that you're not listening to me, and I'm sure mini isn't either. We just feel like we're wasting our time with the crits. I'm sure mini will keep trying to help you learn a better workflow, since he's that kind of guy, but I'm not one to beat a dead horse.
  19. ...you pretty much didn't fix any of the issues, then uv mapped and textured it anyway. I'm kind of at a loss for words. And will to crit in the future.
  20. Nah, you're rebuilding the wrong one. I think we're good.
  21. Quick peek into how I set up my environment.
  22. Not ready to be critted on topology yet. Shoulder is gonna look a little wonky from the side. This is because the topology is awful. This is because he has no arm. I will readdress it once he is no longer a quadriplegic.
  23. Criticism The WIP forum is for showing off your own works and to get some feedback on how to improve. As you may know, not everyone can handle blunt criticism as well as others, so please be sure not to deter new and old members by giving harsh comments when they are not desired. If you are starting a new WIP thread and don't want criticism on how to improve but just want to show it off, please say so in your post. Topic Tags As you may have noticed, when you create a topic you are able to add a tag in the "Topic Tags" section, just below "Topic Title". Two tags are available at this time: Released and WIP. If you would like to use one of these tags, please click "Add as tag" and select the appropriate tag from the drop down, then click the "Use first tag as prefix" checkbox just to the right. This will add the tag before the title of your post in the forum listing. This tag, for example, can start out as WIP while you're working on a mod, then be changed to "Released" once the mod is available to the public. Just edit the first post of the thread (Use Full Editor) and change the tag like before. If you have any questions, or have other suggestions for prefix tags for posts in this forum, please let us know by replying to this thread.
  24. Yup. That's a fail.
  25. Refer to that link mini gave you - it's how I made my head with almost no previous practice or skill. I did a quick paintover just for anatomy's sake (I don't claim it's perfect) to give you an idea of where your general shape is working and where it's failing.
