  1. The same reason people wear sparring gear in a variety of sports, I guess! Also, to set a good example to Obi-Wan. I have to say, I really like Qui-Gon's outfit. It looks interesting.
  2. Tavion is Ezra's mom and Maketh Tua. Who knew? xD

I assume he means that those characters share the same voice actress.

  3. Since Valentine's Day is on the horizon, we thought we'd post a new poll in spirit! Are there two particular characters you appreciate as a package?
  4. Progress! In the ui/saberstyle.menu file, I've changed this bit: action { uiScript "updatesabercvars" uiScript "updatefightingstyle" close all setcvar tier_storyinfo "7" setcvar storyhead "protocol" open ingameGotoTier // HACK We're expecting to go to a mission screen from here playvoice "sound/chars/storyinfo/7.mp3" }to this: action { uiScript "updatesabercvars" uiScript "updatefightingstyle" play "sound/interface/button1.wav" ; uiScript closeingame // Close menu }The menu now loads and allows me to select a secondary saber style. Once I make my choice and click resume to return to game, I can change stance. However, I am unable to change back to medium after changing to whichever new stance I've selected. Any help on what I could be overlooking would be awesome! https://youtu.be/XaU2VjHkQ14
  5. When you pick up a Force holocron in-game, you get a notification on the side and a message at the top of the screen, like so: I would like to give players a similar notification while granting them Saber Defense 2 for completing an activity. However, there is no Force holocron for Saber Defense and simply increasing the level via a .IBI obvioulsy won't trigger any kind of notification. Tapping TAB also won't highlight that your level has increased as it does when you pick up a holocron. Is it possible to simply to make one of these for a Force power that doesn't already have one in Base? If not, is there a realistic, decent-looking suggestion to achieve a similar thing? Ta! ^.^
  6. Sounds like it may be something beyond my reach! I'll look for ways around it for now. Same mod as usual. I'm just trying to add things to it.
  7. Hello! Is it possible to open the saber style menu, allow the player to pick a second one and then return back to what they were doing in the same level? My experiments so far are taking me to new levels or the mission select screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. I shall put that to good use! Awesome work.
  9. Hi, Iwan! A welcome post is always a good shout to get started. If you wanted a simplistic map, maybe you could have a go for yourself! You can find versions of GTKRadiant in the file section and we have a range of tutorials you could take a look at it. I learnt to map following RichDiesal's tutorials.

    Secret Santa 2018

It's that time of year again! The holidays are upon us! Every year we try to put on some kind of event related to Christmas, since that's the majority of what people celebrate around here. If you celebrate something else, you can still get into the spirit of giving by participating in this year's holiday event! Secret Santa is back! We've successfully done two Secret Santa events in the past, so we're trying it again this year! If you're unfamiliar with how Secret Santa works, basically you'll receive the name of another person participating and you must create a mod or graphic of some kind for that person. They can choose to provide a list of items they want, and you can choose to make something from that list or not. Some more details below. The rules You must be a registered member. You must be able to create a mod in JKA or JK2 of some kind or a graphic (signature, wallpaper, etc), even if it's something really simple. You must sign up, by sending a PM to the Secret Santa account, saying you're participating and/or a list of what you want. You must have the time and motivation to complete your gift on time. You must sign up by December 5th.You will receive a PM from that same account containing the person and their list, on December 6th.You will have until December 23rd to submit your gifts to the Secret Santa account via PM, once again. You will receive your gift on Christmas Day, December 25th.What should you ask for? It's better to make a list of simple things that people can make, not things that you've been spamming the requests forum with. If you put "make me JK4" or "i just want rend2" obviously that won't happen. Here are some examples: a forum avatar or signaturea mod of Rosh saying everything backwardsa JKA-related wallpapera giant toothbrush saber modela mod that replaces the chat icon with a Christmas wreatha simple code modWhat should you NOT ask for? JK4 (seriously people...)rend2a new playermodel of some charactera huge map (small maps might be okay, depends)some kind of mod that involves heavy codinga mod that makes "Circa" replace every mention of "Rosh"Bottom line: don't ask for something that would take months or years to make. If you don't have time to make something elaborate, your secret santa won't either. If you fail to make your gift, you force the staff to scrounge up something last-minute, which isn't cool, so please make sure to make something. Also, no physical or monetary gifts or address exchanging for this. Mods and graphics only. And again: you can only participate if you can create a gift too. If you can't you will be denied entry into the Santa zone. That should cover it, so if you're up for it, sign up and get your list in! Click here to view the article

  12. Topic moved from JKHub Feedback & Discussions.
  13. That website simply isn't affiliated with us. Just a happy coincidence on the name. There's a .net, too.
  14. I'm genuinely impressed with the 30/30 split we have right now.
  15. Hi! In my mod, I have two padawan characters which can be sparred with as often as the player sees fit. What I want is a third character to trigger only when the first two have both been bested at least once. I've done something similar already with the remotes. If you defeat one, you unlock the option to spawn two and so on up to five. What I'm struggling with is how I can set it up so that I have to beat both padawans at least once in any order before unlocking the third opponent, rather than beating the same padawan twice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  16. It's been quite some time since we last had a matchup, so we have another one for you! It's a chance for ya'll to debate on who would win between these two characters. Use logic and knowledge of Star Wars lore to back up your choice, when necessary. Keep in mind the characters' abilities and personalities that we are aware of through the media they are featured in. Obviously some of these apply to the EU/Legends canon. Assume these characters are in their prime age, power, ability, etc. unless stated otherwise. So, who was the more fearsome?
  17. That's a quote from one of these, I think: https://jkhub.org/files/file/877-star-wars-jedi-academy-re-edited-part-3/
  18. That's actually the reason it didn't occur to me to want to play as him. Someone who in most people's opinion should be a cut above the rest would take away from the experience. That said, I realise I'm the sort of player who prefers to play the early game to the late game with most things. I would have liked Luke to be more involved in a level like Korriban though, just as Kyle is by your side on Vjunn. I came very close to making a standalone level starring jedi/j2!
  19. I'm genuinely surprised that Luke Skywalker got the popular vote on this one. My credits were on Alora and Rosh Penin!
  20. Deception Eve of Redemption New Beginning Dark Forces Mod Crash On Tatooine Movie Duels 2 I would provide links but that is really difficult through my phone. They're all single player campaign mods that come to mind.
  21. I didn't cheat! I only had Force Jump, Pull and Saber Offense/Defense 1. I nearly died more than once! I quite enjoyed playing through that. You should attach some scripts to it! A snippet of dialogue here or there could make a big difference. Or maybe pre-setting the powers we can use and having to find our lightsaber. I hope you produce more things like this.
  22. We have 2 new staff members Following on from our last news post we have two new members of staff! Both Wolfeye and myself have recently had our applications accepted and are now looking forward to giving it our all and providing a helping hand alongside Circa, AshuraDX and Caelum. For those who aren't familiar with us: Wolfeye began with JKA in December 2013 as a 1.00 player. He was the founder of Random Clan, and he co-founded the Phantom Academy with Frost. Wolfeye then went on to join the Shadow Order in October of 2016 after Random disbanded, and then left in the April of 2017. He's currently the leader of the clan known as Tempest, and the lead admin for the JKCommunity Discord server, which Caelum insists on re-emphasizing is a third-party that's completely unrelated to JKHub. As for me: I've been playing JKA online since 2006, but my consistent home for many years was the ::JEDI:: role-playing community, where I played a variety of characters at varying ranks. I began my career in JKHub when Caelum first recruited me alongside others such as Azatha, SiLink, Inyri and Szico. I stepped down after a while and invested a lot more of my time in ::JEDI:: again and developing my own mods, such as a new single player campaign which can be found here on the site! I eventually found my way to the Shadow Order and with some more time on my hands, have volunteered to give back to the JKHub community once again. This does also mean that staff applications are now closed for the time being. However, should we find ourselves short-handed in the future or in need of additional support, we'll be right back! Special thanks to everyone who applied: even if we didn't pick you, there were some very strong other candidates, and we really appreciate your applications. JKHub 2.0 (Demo) Did you miss Caelum's shoutout? Those of you with keen eyes my have spotted a few mentions of his work in moving JKHub over to new software. Well, you can now access the demo for JKHub 2.0 by visiting https://demo.jkhub.org/! Please keep in mind that this is in a heavy work-in-progress state. Give the link a try for us and share whatever feedback you may have! Several features - including an integrated, modernized wiki are still under construction, so check back every once in a while for cool new additions. The demo will be up until such time JKHub moves to the new software, for which we're now only awaiting some work by a paid third-party developer to import our data. Click here to view the article
