@@Lazarus I guess the usage of the Force theme is in order, because as Yoda says it in Episode V – it is everywhere and binds everything. This very aspect is interesting to keep in mind, when you see a briefing room in Episode VI with Mon Mothma or the government council with Amidala with hologram from Palpatine in Episode I. It's still in there. The more important thing here is that various characters like Ackbar and others always say "May the Force be with you". Even Han Solo, who wasn't much of a believer at the time. So the Force is there even without any Force users per se. A spoiler on the matter...

White, which is known as silver, and cyan, with the latter being closer to green. I've never seen this kind of saber in Star Wars actually, while silver is available in KOTOR II at least. When Ewan McGregor was offered the role of Obi Wan, he thought, that Vader had a lilac blade. I don't think it would be any different from violet in case of lightsabers though. Having replayed The Phantom Menace video game with a mod, which replaces Qui Gon with Mace Windu, it gives the character some sort of silver-blue lightsaber. This was surely before we learnt, he had a violet blade in Episode II.

There is also Jar Jar Binks in Japanese. But I would like to hear other characters to speak. Like Amidala for instance. By the way, I wonder, if Yoda speaks a reversed manner of words in Japanese too, because originally the sentence is made in an order different from European languages from the start. Edit: Actually found some of these and even more. Yoda: Not Star Wars, but still curious. Harry Potter: LOTR:

I can't agree more. I've been looking into the plot, and some things are obviously far more interesting. I like quite a lot of things in this trailer, and to tell the truth – it looks closer to original trilogy, as well as Dark Forces I and II. Because we see many elements from there, like a reddish planet (like Ruusan in the game), etc.

Rejoice! How do I delete my profile?
NumberWan replied to the_raven's topic in JKHub Feedback & Help
Are you dependent upon Internet? Or is there something frustrating for you in it? I once wanted to delete anything related to social media, but unfortunately had to stay, though the reasons are numerous: one of them is surely my work, while in other aspects it's a good way of communication with people, who I don't know very well, but we share ideas, opinions and even some projects. Also some people, like on facebook, are from other countries, and it's the only way to stay in touch with them, and I like to see their photos and small reports from around the world. I actually met very interesting people, while travelling abroad myself. Once in a while I stay away from such activities, when going to a small town, or staying in a place, where Internet is very limited. -

Perhaps, one of the most unusual packs. I remember the time, when the JA community couldn't even imagine anything even close to this – most fans and players were longing for the new Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker or Metal Gear Solid characters. That's what was in high demand, often closing path for other ideas.

I managed to watch a few shots from the reel, but there was also a fan-made trailer, which by many was mistaken for the real official trailer. For some days I thought it was just the real deal. However I was wrong, and today I found an unofficial trailer 2, which was captured by one of the fans. Not sure, it will stay there for long, and the quality is quite bad, but the new trailer (not the reel), clears some things for me, though a lot is missing visually in the video. My thoughts on this.

They took the traits of many different characters from original stories and added them to the newer ones such as Ezra and Kanan. But it would be wrong to say, this wasn't done before – the first video games copied the adventures of Luke Skywalker in Episode IV, and while you are a different pilot there, you can actually blow up the first Death Star. Kyle Katarn himself was a mix of the classic characters from Star Wars – he was also from a farm family, from a planet similar to Tatooine. Some details differed though: Luke wanted to apply for Imperial Academy, while Kyle actually graduated from the one. So this trailer shows, that the characters take upon the roles, which previously were occupied by others. But I can't say, this anyhow neglects the older guys – it is still possible for Dash Rendar to exist, for instance. Though it was cleared, that the ship we see in the trailer doesn't not belong to this guy. Thrawn's return was long suspected, and I am glad we have him in the flesh now. It's bad, that they might rewrite all of his already established biography... He was a cool guy by many standards. As for Darth Maul – I am actually tired of this guy now. He is sooo overused. Nevertheless an interesting character, but I still prefer a more silent, yet deadlier Darth Maul.

So there are new photos from the sets in Dubrovnik. Some things are familiar, though others are very unexpected. -

Yes. That's the one. However I looked (though briefly) at the already depicted locations and it seemed to include all the previously established moments, but we might assume, that it's easier for them to change texts, rather than remove the above mentioned Ackmena from the book. They can simply rename her into someone else and point, that it is someone else...

@@GLTh3Pr0 But the new one? I thought it won't include the lable "Legends", because it was planned to include locations such as D'Qar from Episode VII. Though you might be right, and all of that is still Legends. Thought truthfull legends, if you ask me.

Some sources have leaked the names – of the planet and the ships. With the new atlases and encyclopedias to be released (and which will include data on TFA and Rogue One), we can officially say, that a lot of things are coming back to SW Canon. I saw the excerpts from the new book, and I saw several pages copied one by one from the illustrated guide for Episodes I-VI. The Cantina on Tatooine seems to belong to Chalmun, the wookie, as it was stated before, and we can even assume, that Ackmena (night shift female bartender) from SW Holiday Special would be still present there (like on the picture in the same book before).

Star Wars Episode VIII Discussion
NumberWan replied to NumberWan's topic in Star Wars Franchise Discussions
Given the fact, that on IMDB both Hayden Christensen and Ian McDiarmid have no active film projects in 2016-2017 (the latest being in 2015 and 2014 respectively), we can assume, they can be involved in the new films. Hayden might indeed reprise the role of Anakin's Force ghost, while Palpatine can be in the Rogue One (why not?). Genevieve O'Reilly, who played Mon Mothma in Episode III and now in Rogue One, also had no projects for 2016 except for the TV series, and suddenly it was revealed she is both in Star Wars and the new Tarzan movie. I can't believe they'll wrap filming on July 22. It hasn't been a year even since Episode VII... -
Tales From The Clone Wars - JKA comic
NumberWan replied to Kualan's topic in Art, Media & Technology
Oh, I see the resemblance with Baelish now. Yes, they have something in common. I've just completed reading the issue, and see even more similarity of Sleen with Belfort. The way he talks – also is quite similar. So it's sort of a mix between two different characters with Star Wars approach. I like it. As for Tarkin – I thought it could be him, but I didn't recognize him (the model is very nice though). It felt a bit strange, that in this issue Tarkin is somehow kinder and more positive about discussing the issues with the Jedi – it looked that way. It was the major reason, why I thought it was a different admiral and not Tarkin. I also saw the new model of Mace Windu. The previous one did look too young, so I guess this shift towards a darker Episode III is for the better. -
Tales From The Clone Wars - JKA comic
NumberWan replied to Kualan's topic in Art, Media & Technology
The guy on the left reminds me of Jordan Belfort, the character based upon the real person, seen in the The Wolf of Wall Street, played by Leonardo DiCaprio. The ned Admiral model also looks cool. I thought it was Tarkin, but he looks differently and older. Who is this guy? -
@zOrg What's the point in posting this comment in this section, related to models? What's the point of posting anything at all then? You can't know in advance, how one would go and end eventually. We have a plan, and we stick to it. We didn't mention any exact dates, and we are working on a few aspects, which were revealed on the forums. The JA engine wasn't created by us, we simply follow the creative path, rather than technical one, but have to take it into account, when creating things for the mod. It is also important to say, that this is a mod, and not a video game, and to be precise, it is made by a group of enthusiasts and fans, who devote their free time to something they love, not a professional team, which might count dozens of people with plenty of resources, and gets salaries for their job (just another job).

I like Lego games more, when they don't make any talking to the game. It looks more natural, with jokes being introduced by body language. The first game, which I played, and which had this voicing, was the LOTR Lego game. Still quite good. But I like Indiana Jones a lot (the first one, which stays true to the films).

Yes, but the character in TCW looks differently, at least regarding his eyes. It is also curious, that in the trailer we see the character look differently. It was also said, that Mon Mothma is playing a larger role in the story, so I wonder what do they mean by that. Is it that she would have more than just a few lines during a briefing?

Terrain Mapping Ultrathread (For Terrain Builders)
NumberWan replied to Asgarath83's topic in Modding Assistance
@@Asgarath83 I learnt, that different locations require different tools – perhaps the most obvious thing here. For Dantooine, for instance, I used bevels and meshes for the most part, though a md3 could be of help there too. For another snowy and mountainous map I used a combination of different methods as well – part of it was generated with Gtk Radiant's plugin, which generates the surface (I worked with Radiant 1.5. at the time), while the problematic sections can always use the already created snowy md3 rocks from the Hoth folder. Tatooine and Vjun were also made through the use of md3 rocks, though not entirely. You might want to try Easygen, which was not made for JA originally, but still can be used (here). Terragen serves a different purpose: it allows to create a skybox, generating the surface, the sky and clouds (as well as oceans and rivers), later converting all of it into the 6 tag files to be combined as a skybox. Terragen 2 is a far more advanced version of it, which allows to make a far more realistic landscape, being also somehow more complicated to learn and understand. -
The NPCs will ride the swoop, if there is a way point leading for them to go to it. Also anger script helps sometimes. They will try to use the vehicle if they are alerted by the Player. As for Coruscant looks, I would still change the form of the buildings around it. There've been several games, where Coruscant is presented in a far better way. Here's some list: -The Phantom Menace VG (includes landing platforms, Tourism bureau, Mall and Lower Coruscant Underworld) -Star Wars: Obi Wan (shows a much larger area of a lower district of Coruscant, criminal activity) -Star Wars Rebellion (the first in its kind to show the Imperial Capital before the prequels; good to see the City Line (sky)) -Shadows of the Empire (darker quarter of the Black Sun HQ, not just dirty sub level, but a separate region of Coruscant) -SW The Old Republic (set before 3600 BBY shows several regions, both more civilized and more criminal ones – Senate, spaceport, Jedi temple, etc). -Galactic Battlegrounds (there are several Coruscanti props, which I used myself for inspiration, when I create my Coruscant levels) Perhaps Racto doesn't live in a clean area – it must still be shady and dark. His office can be on the top of a building, but it's purpose can be not that obvious for outside citizens and transport. Structures around it can be even quite new and in good shape, while deeper levels (where the entrance for Racto can be located) are dirty, old, with rusty tubes and old constructions. The droids can be there. Here are some pictures to think about
