  1. So I tried to fix it using OpenJK but still without success. I believe that OpenJK developers didn't include the ui changes in SP jagamex86.dll file . I can't get the new MP menu to work with sp. I will either find a way to fix it or try to create a diffrent menu for SP ( but I wouldn't like to do it )

Can you help him with that, @@redsaurus?

EDIT: Don't want to make a double-post, but I have one question: Isn't it possible to create a subforum for this mod? This topic could be moved there, so it can be found easily.

    What do you think, @@eezstreet?

  2. Our KotF modding team needs more skilled coders if Single Player is ever going to happen. I met some errors that I am unable to fix myself. I don't want to shatter your hopes but if we don't find anyone qualified for this job it might go very slow to make SP reality. The outcome of this situation is not my choice at all. As much as I would hate to let You people down, I just can't fix everything by myself. I hope you can understand that. But don't dispear - The Force works in mysterious ways. Who knows? Maybe our dreams are not lost after all.

I think we should consult our skilled coders here. Maybe they know a solution.

@@Asgarath83, can you help with that?

  3. Hi.

I have a problem with KoTF 2.0 Multiplayer. Me and my friends play via LAN connection, when my friends create server we can play easily without any problem, but when i try to create server I get error message. "JAMP.exe has been crashed" The question is, why I ger exe error when I try to create server? Do you have any idea? Thank you in advance.

    Richard.

Try KotF 2.1. It's way better than KotF 2.0. The only thing that doesn't work is Singleplayer, but Multiplayer works fine.

If you have more questions, post them in the official KotF 2.1 topic: https://jkhub.org/topic/8041-kotf-21/

  4. Great! Except for Senator Binks....

Why not? No matter if great or annoying characters, it's always good to see some variety here. At least we can tick this character off the list.

Keep in mind that there are people out there that might think "Hey, I haven't seen a Senator Binks in Jedi Academy. It seems that nobody made him.

I should request it and bump that topic every hour until my request is fulfilled."

  5. I'm not trying to be rude but like... c'mon man...

He looks like a pruney old man.

Actually, believe it or not, this is the best skin of Ash available. Another version was made for Jedi Outcast, which used the prisoner model as a basis.

    See for yourself. http://mrwonko.de/jk3files/Jedi%20Outcast/Skins/Celebrities/2251/

There are no screenshots, so you have to download it. But this reskin is not any better than the one above.

I think you should consult our frankensteining experts. Maybe they like to do it for you.

  6. While we are waiting for a nice model to be build from scratch for Grand Moff Tarkin, here is something from an older request, where I found the model from Galaxy Of Heroes. However this head is too low poly even for JKA, since it's a mobile game app (around 120-130 verts only). Also his head is a lot like cartoon-ish style which bothers me a lot.

Don't worry about the quality. This is the most detailed Tarkin model for Jedi Academy so far.

  7. @@eezstreet

I don't have a screenshot from what I made, but let me explain it this one from the mod:

    https://jkhub.org/index.php?app=downloads&module=display&section=screenshot&record=5814&id=687&full=1

I made some of the big blood textures transparent by erasing the blood in Gimp, so that only the transparency grid is there. I thought that it would make the blood completely invisible, but I think it triggered some sort of texture glitch instead.

Imagine the blood splatters you see above as semi-transparent white tiles.

  8. Yup and the effect that happens whenever you move your lightsaber into someone, for instance Chewie- and in the base game it's some little sparks- but in this game it's ridiculous blood sparks that shoot everywhere.

But it seems if I remove them the blood stops entirely in every other way as well.

So, I tried to make the medium to big splats transparent. The problem is that they now appear like translucent panes. The mod also uses .efx-files, which probably need to be edited, but I don't know how to do that properly.

    Any ideas, @@eezstreet

  9. Gore/Dismemberment Mod

After some playing I've realised that this isn't really to my taste, the red smoke is fantastic though but the sparks of blood replacing the light sparks when you strike someone are unsightly.

So I was wondering if maybe @@Lancelot could help me in finding a way of tweaking this mod so that it essentially just adds that gorgeous red smoke, with a little blood splatter but no blood sparks.

That shouldn't be a big problem. The mod uses transparent .tga-files that contain the blood textures, which can be easily edited. So, you don't want pools of blood, just some drops and smoke?

All you have to do is to make the blood transparent as well. I see what I can do.

  10. Oh come on guys! Think about this as a Star Wars and Sailor Moon Crossover! What if the Imperials would've joined with the Dark Kingdom? What if the Shitennou worked alongside with Imperial Officers? What if Queen Beryl's boyfriend was actually Darth Vader? And what if Queen Metalia is almost like Emperor Palpatine? We all would know for ourselves that the Sailor Guardians' "Aura Sense" is a lot more like a "disturbance in the force".

I'm aware of the fact that you are enjoying everything related to Japan (animes, movies and so on), and I fully respect that. But do you really think that this is something worth bumping a topic?

And it seems that nobody else seems to be interested at all.

Here's my advice, and I don't mean to be rude at all: Go on and create your own reskins. Seriously, I think you should start to create them on your own. The tools are already available, you just have to make use of them.

You could start to experiment a little bit by using an already existing model, like Galak Fyarr or the Imperial Officer. You might not get the best results at first, but it will get easier. Just try it and take your time.

And if you are not sure about how to get started or what programs to use, just ask anyone on JKHub.

  11. another weird question (lol): do you plan and replacing character models for a more updated look.

for example: replacing mars marshalls darth vader (the vader model the original KOTF used) with something like toshi's vader

Actually, KotF 2.1 already has most of the best models available. Even Toshi's Darth Vader is in it, as well as many other high quality models.
