  1. I think the models we have are the best we're gonna get for JKA. Toshi's Luke isn't perfect, but it's darn close. And Haps' Dooku is probably better than TFU's.
  2. The i5 will probably be fine for a few more years, as long as you're not doing really hefty stuff. My recommendation: the more RAM you have, the more future-proof it will be. 8GB is the average these days, I'd say. I upgraded to 16GB this past summer because I desperately needed it for what I was doing (audio editing/mixing/mastering, video editing, image editing, gaming, etc. The good thing is, RAM is super easy to install so you could always upgrade later when needed, but you should start with 8GB as a minimum these days.
  3. They're not upside down. you must have a mod interfering somehow. Maybe a backhand saber mod or something?
  4. Not generally, no. I'm sorry that I'm offending you with my video game purchasing habits.
  5. Because reviews probably wouldn't make any difference in my decision. I'd rather play it myself and form my own opinion. I don't think I've ever read a review on a video game before buying it.
  6. You're acting like buying a game is a life or death decision. It's not. It's entertainment. If it's a bad game, then who cares? Then I spent $60 on a game. Big deal. The fact that I did preorder basically says that I'm confident that it'll be a good game. The people I trust that played the bets said it was awesome, despite a few bugs they ran into. I love Star Wars as well, which plays into it. Also, I loved AC Unity and Arkham Knight. I wasn't aware that these games were flops. Everyone I know that has played them also love them. So I guess what I'm saying is, I'm buying the game with confidence in 3 things: word of mouth, trailer and gameplay videos, and the fact that it's Star Wars. So I'm sorry that you think I'm an idiot. Probably not the only one on this site. Also, I understand your argument. Not saying you're wrong, I just don't think calling me an idiot for spending $60 on a game before I've played it is all that warranted.
  7. You guys need to chill out. The game hasn't even come out and you're at each others' throats. Okay, so you called me an idiot because I preordered. Why is that different than just buying it when it releases? Why does that make me an idiot? The game looks great, so I'm going to buy it. That's how it works. I swore to myself I'd stay out of this thread but meh.
  8. Welcome back, my friend.
  9. What happened to all the staff? This place is getting messy. :P

there are fun jokes about the word (Staff / Staff (the saber))

  10. Plot twist is pretty much why we haven't seen him. I'm certain that Luke went into exile during the time before the movie, and now that a new dark threat has risen, he needs to return and help Finn learn to be a Jedi. A big part of the movie will probably be everyone trying to contact Luke, but can't reach him. That's my guess. Looking great DT, as always.
  11. I heard a lot of good things about the beta, but I heard it needed a lot of work before launch. A lot of people have made up their mind that the game will suck because of bugs they experienced in the beta. They must not be aware of what "beta" means. Most people just wanted early access to the game, unfortunately. This is why I'm not a fan of open beta programs.
  12. Really easy to do. @@eezstreet can do it.
  13. Not saying it's a standard, but a fact. Modern games require modern specs. Yeah, computers are expensive, I get that. Not trying to piss anyone off. Just saying that if you're using a PC for gaming, it gets expensive keeping up with what games require. If you're on a budget as tight as you suggest, I recommend consoles (along with a few other reasons, not just a budget).

    JK3Files Shuts Down

It's more of a risk from GameFront. When there was talk of a mirror on the announcement thread on GameFront, a bunch of ex-staff got mad that we would host it without asking them first. But since the reviews are the only thing they have the rights to, they can't really get that mad about it, in my opinion. Its about preserving the content, not taking credit for their stuff.
  15. I was actually thinking as I was playing SWTOR that the Voss heads are almost identical to the HS Anakin head, with the bald head. Would probably be pretty simple to create a reskin.
  16. Agreed. Especially if you're using your PC for gaming.
  17. Sad to hear what happened but glad to see things aren't dead or completely lost. Kudos to you guys for keeping it alive.
  18. Keep in mind those were the requirements for the alpha. Could change in the official release. Also, Battlefront was created as a rip off of Battlefield, they've always been similar. This new one shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, and shouldn't be a bad thing. Go play Battlefield: 1942 and you'll see what I mean.
  19. Pretty sure he knows how, he's looking for a better design to work with. I'd come up with something for you but I'm a bit busy.
  20. I think he looks great. You people ask too much of DT. Nice work.
  21. Then the toy companies are screwed.
  22. JK:E already has it started. Just needs fine tuning.
  23. No Battlefront game should be played for the saber combat, because that's not a focus of the game at all. It's large/small scale warfare, focused on the troops. Sabers are a bonus, and focus on "saber vs blaster" kind of gameplay. At least it was in BFII. And if you still view it as "Battlefield with a Star Wars theme" then you could say that about BFII and BF1 as well, which I mostly disagree with. They are similar but they have a lot of their own aspects that make them a lot different than the Battlefield series. You say "play Battlefield in the case I want to play some war game" - okay but what about a Star Wars war game? That's what it is. If you're not a big Star Wars fan, then maybe it doesn't matter what's going on in the game, guns are guns, but to Star Wars fans, it'll be awesome. Playing as a rebel soldier fighting against the Empire's huge forces in a simple setting like Battlefront has is something fans love and want. This game will give a fresh take on that experience in multiple ways. Remember, last Battlefront game released was 2005. It's been 10 years since we've seen any game like what I have just shown. It's only been Force Unleashed and SWTOR, which are completely different.
