  1. Don't forget that Steam is DRM software. It inherits evil as a result of its nature. The only way to not update is to keep steam from connecting to the internet. Source.
  2. How was he moving, via teleport?
  3. How to stop talking to people: A guide. 1. Stop replying to the thread they are posting in. 2. Put them on your ignore list. 3. Stop trying to "have the last word".
  4. Oh and oriental planet. That'll be interesting. Starting to remind me of Firefly.
  5. Coders can't have fun? Neutral - Doesn't reproduce at all. Asexual - Like a plant, reproduces via cutting off a clipping.
  6. That was pretty cool.
  7. Okay go start with the first screen.
  8. MIGHTY JOHN WILLIAMS. The main reason I see any movie.
  9. I want a tunnel of caverns with like dead miners and stuff and an escaped Sith Alchemist beast, etc...
  10. I think it does have a valid argument in it though. The goal of 'cheat protection' should be just to make it harder, not to foil it outright. If the cheat protection software is being updated constantly it means the cheat users have to keep up-to-date with their cheats, etc... I'm not sure I'd want to introduce DRM protection software to JKA...
  11. If you're cheating, I can't imagine you'd care much about playing fair or just having a good time chatting with others etc... You're there because a) You made a cool hack yourself and want to try it out b) You have an illusive inflated ego and feel the need to make everybody see just how superior you are, even at the expense of cheating your way there. c) You like playing against other cheaters with cheats, so really its all fair anyway. But yeah, I suppose Bacon could be just talking about plain old poke/wiggle players who don't use scripts too, in which case that's a bit uncalled. But I'm pretty sure he meant the ones that 'cheat' to do it.

    Compiling?

Information like this might be useful if there was a big faq list on the openjk github page. I know you aren't necessarily in charge of it, or that this isn't the best place to talk about that, but I think it'd probably help out a lot of people that are new to coding.
  13. I think this would only be useful if such things become popular enough to warrant their own section, until then the Art, Media and Technology fits fine.
  14. Could use JA++
  15. Slenderdroid is coming
  16. Sounds like 2 or 3 women screaming with some effects layed over it. Never heard the sound before though.

  18. Sorry this is all I have.
  19. Here's something I made really quickly: 1. First select the area you want the stripe at with the box tool (Example) 2. Then select the paint brush tool and the color you want (Example). If you want it to be slightly transparent, change the default opacity slider bar from 100% to something lower (I used 50% in this example). 3. Then drag your brush across the boxed/highlighted area you selected in 1 (do it all in one mouse click, don't release the mouse button). (Example)
  20. robar es malo y hay que ir a casa y replantearse su vida
  21. In otherwords you probably shouldn't help him, since he wants to rip and port the map without the author's permission.
  22. http://jkhub.org/topic/4441-help-help/page-2
  23. Just drag it (so you aren't repeatedly clicking)?
  24. Lol. Ceres is all "we should be nice to each other and compliment each other, etc..." While Ping is like, "I WANT TO SEE CHILDREN'S TEARS. IT BRINGETH ME JOY."
  25. That is correct. I'll see if I can write a proper server guide for you soon, unfortunately I've got a lot on my plate at the moment. The jkgalaxiesded file is not available as a linux binary, as we have not yet built support for linux. However, the source code is open source, and if you would really like one you're welcome to compile it yourself. @@Xycaleth might be interested in trying to get it to work for you in a few months perhaps.
