  1. Welcome to JKHub at any rate. Hope you find your stay pleasant.
  2. Y U NO CANCEL CANCEL-BUTTON!?

    1. Corto

      Corto

Hahahahaha, that's the real question. It never works.

  3. But yeah you should totally contribute some stuff DT85, especially if your bored n' stuff. Hop over to the irc channel sometime ( irc://irc.arloria.net/jkgalaxies ) Hmmm...that seems like a hint that I should fix JKG Studio's brokeness.
  4. I really don't even think they'd be in the same market really. The games would be completely different styles, and I wouldn't really consider them competition anyway.
  5. Is this "Q_strncpyz: NULL src" whats failing or is it something else now?
  6. I have no idea...I'm as lost as you. Although, in attempt to get back to the topic at hand, I see your little % bar says 50%. Most impressive. Most impressive.
  7. I'm afraid its too late for the children... Come, boy, see for yourself. From here, you will witness the final destruction of the children and the end of your insignificant rebellion. Uh, I mean: Yes of course we'll think about them.
  8. Why don't you try PMing clan leaders if you want to join a clan instead of posting a...what is this? A badly written resume?
  9. As I mentioned in an earlier post, this announcement was accidentaly announced earlier than really intended. We don't even have the current source code up yet (unless eezstreet has finished merging code together, which I doubt has happened), if your waiting for a specific play by play plan right now, the one eezstreet gave you is probably the best you'll get. Some decisions still have to be made, etc...be patient, it takes some time to get this all worked out. We're just trying to give the community some news.
  10. This is a totally different game, SWG-EMU is not really a fps nor does it have an awesome saber system. Its an MMO. That is why you should help.
  11. Its far off in the future, we're kind of waiting to see what EA will do to other similar stand-alone starwars mods/games that are free and open source before we actually move to the standalone stage. As eez mentioned for now, we will still require the original game to play, at least until the waters seem safe. (Though I'm hardly likely to feel that way with EA lurking around every corner). Thanks, I'd say I'd agree with you except that would sound rather oddly self-serving. So instead we'll just keep it to a smile, eh?
  12. A news update is being written, this post was made pre-maturely from when we intended to announce, but its a bit too late now. Basically we just decided that progress takes too long with only 5 active developers and we really really want to go stand alone. Opensource seems like the best option.
  13. Pssssttt...you should put it in JKG if you get it working. Are there actual cockpit models for like the tie-fighter, x-wing etc? I thought it just temporarily changed the playermodel into the actual ship's model. (Swoops are different I'm assuming).
  14. So you'd hold down a key to go into drive-by-shooting mode, or something? I like this idea.

    Earlier Downtime

Weird cause it was only intermittently down for me.
  16. May your eyes never go bloodshot from giving us good stuffs.
  17. Lemmee see if I can make it more clear. I'll give you a general explanation. Once upon a time there was a video game programmer. He wanted to make single player games and multiplayer games without having to rewrite an entire new game and just be able to reuse most of his code. So he invented a thing called "netcode". The programmer designed netcode to manage the data transfer between 'client' and 'server' in a general abstract sort of way. The clever programmer realized that by designing the game like a multiplayer game with a server and a client he wouldn't have to rewrite large portions of the single-player version of the game. He would just treat different 'chunks' in memory like a server and a client and they would talk to each other using memory (RAM) as the line of communication instead of TCP/IP. This would save our clever programmer from having to reinvent the wheel, and allow changes to be made to both types of game types without too much work. Hope that helps. My description may be in need of some clarification if we want to go for accuracy, but I think its a good general summary of what netcode is. Oh, and the programmer lived happily ever after.
  18. Provide your code please, or its really hard to help you out.

    RCON Unlimited

I do like this thing, have you a portable version so I do not need to install and I can keep it on a thumbdrive?
  20. Due to the vague wording on the poll I picked JKA, but I might be persuaded to choose JK2 were the poll worded differently.
  21. Heck yes! I love you Eeez, now I'm actually tempted to hop on board.
  22. I'd be happier I know. Besides I'm not sure there really would be performance losses if you did it cleverly enough.
  23. Well it certainty looks like him...
  24. See I think this is a positive, because being considered mature and swearing excessively is an oximoron in my opinion. I'd have to agree with what some have said, a lot of these 'cons' listed by various people are extremely debatable. This makes a lot of sense to me.
