  1. @@The Punisher Hey, dude.. Is it likely than any of these models/ports will be available?

    https://imgur.com/a/bwhlyZH

    Those are some pretty sick models, in all honesty. For all the hard work you've done, getting them ported and what not, it'd be a real shame for them not to be appreciated by the community and available for download. Was looking through the majority of them and there's a number of them that REALLY caught my eye. Awesome job!  :winkthumb:

  2. Just curious, but do you have any custom animations that you use while testing? Cause if those animations have eliminated the idle animations, then that may be the problem.

    As far as custom animations go.. No, just using the animations that came/comes with the assets in the JK:E version, here on JKHub. When you enter "helpusobi 1" then "setforceall 7", which gives you all lightsaber styles/colours available in the mod.. There's no idle animations. Even doing "setforceall 3" doesn't make any difference (apart from maybe giving you less colours/styles).

  3. I can't reproduce the idle animations / dismemberment issues myself. Do they both happen with an entirely clean install of JA but with recent JA enhanced / OpenJK?

    edit: think I have the idle animations issue found. suspect it was an issue even in the JKHub build.

    I don't personally know what sort of issues @@mjt is encountering, as far as idle animations go.. But for me, I've basically done a fresh install of JKA (Steam version) and I have 2 GameData folders. "GameData" and "GameData2".

    My JK:E is installed to the main GameData directory and Movie Duels is installed to GameData2. So, both mods run separate from each other.

    Was previously using the "v1.0.2-alpha" and the issue occurred. Then updated to the "v1.0.4-alpha" version, thinking it might fix the issue or that it might've been fixed, but it still occurs. Using the files from the v1.0.4-alpha update and the current JK:E assets that are available here on JKHub.

  4. Thing is, people.. Don't acknowledge him or reply to his posts. He's clearly doing it to get a rise from the community and our team members. By replying to him (in any shape or form), you're only giving him fuel to ignite and light the fire and he's winning out, because he's getting the attention he craves.
    Whilst I do respect everyone within the community, my personal tolerance for these sort of antics are paper thin.

    Just don't respond to him or give him any attention.. Then let nature and karma takes its course.

  5. **Bug/Issue**
    I've encountered an issue (possibly code related) with the current version.. v1.0.2-alpha also had this issue, too.

    "idle" animations no longer seem to work.

    Basically, the playermodel just stands there, as stationary and still as a statue (when left for a duration of up to around 10 seconds). The base game (using "JASP.exe") works fine and doesn't have this problem. It seems to be an ongoing issue with OpenJK.
    :huh:

  6. Hey, folks!

      First off, Happy New Year to you all and May the Force be with you, throughout 2019! What I wanna put out there, is a request for a "flashback" version of Luke, from the TLJ.. I'm referring to this particular version:

    QmDaUml.jpg
    (Apart from the muddy and dirty attire, obviously)

    I know there's a few Luke's (post RoTJ) flying around, now.. There's @@DT85's Episode 7 Luke, a Crait Luke and a kitbashed Luke (done by @@Tompa9).. But after looking around, there's no "flashback scene" Luke, unfortunately. Ultimately, the idea is to use this to replace the base game Luke. So, if a kitbash is possible and would take less time than a full model, from scratch (but ultimately achieved the same result), I'd be more than happy and satisfied with that.

    Anyway, if anyone would be interested in stepping up or obliging the request, I'd be really grateful.
    Thanks!

  7. Would've loved to have seen a Jedi Knight 4 (Jedi Academy sequel), with all the code changes that've been done in more recent mods, like MB2. etc. with SFX Sabers, updated graphics and visuals. And yet, still be as moddable as Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy is. Imagine that! I would buy that in a heartbeat.. As long as they kept the core gameplay, but maybe made some improvements and adjustments.. Maybe like some manual blocking and what not. Y'know, things like that.
    But unfortunately, we've got EA dealing with the whole STAR WARS games licence, now. Which I certainly won't be sorry to see the back of, once the licence expires.

  8. lol for real ? i was the one who did EOC back in the days dude :D i know the saber system and it is far from SJE at all,

    EoC use a lot of crap like Mishaps, Dodge meter and all sort of crazy stuff from OJP, this saber system dosnrt use any of that at all, there is really nothing left of OJP in my build here, beside checksaberdamage function with some massiv changes in it :) so i would not compair this stuff to what SJE is :)

    Fair enough then..

  9. Hey, guys..

      So, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in trying to replicate Kylo Ren's unstable lightsaber blade, from the sequel trilogy? I know there's a few crawling 'round on the forum already.. But in all honesty, I think we could really do with a newer, updated version of the blade effect. The hilt is fine. So, there's no need for a full hilt + blade "package" or "bundle".. Just the blade (or blades, due to the exhaust vents on the hilt) itself. I personally, would usually go through @@kalamaray for this sort of thing, as he was my first port of call, but he's disappeared from JKHub and hasn't been on here, for little over a year. So, I thought I'd extend it out to the community and see if there's anyone out there who wants to have a go. Obviously, we all know what Kylo's blade looks like, now.. As there's now so many different sources of media, to pull from. But in any case, I've posted some images and a coupla' videos below, to assist with references and what not..

    *Note*

    Oddly enough, EAfront II has actually done it pretty damn well and is a good source for a reference, if anyone has that and needs a reliable source.

  10. Somehow I find Free Radical's BattleFront III (canceled project) attempt on the OT Jedi Robes... way better to my taste.

    In fairness, that face is pretty dire  :P (Sebastian Shaw's, I mean). Plus, the skin tone doesn't match. So, it could be something to go back and look at (if or when you have the time to so).

  11. An OK movie? Yes. Good movie? Certainly not. Certainly not deserving of all the ridiculous amounts of hate it gets, though. But it REALLY wasn't a strong STAR WARS movie, in any aspect. With the exception of Rogue One (understandably), it had no lightsaber duel (and no, you can't count Kylo Ren & Rey against Snoke's Praetorian Guards, as a lightsaber duel). As long as Kathleen Kennedy is in charge and her "loyal dogs" are with her, pushing their feminist agenda on everyone.. We'll never have a a true STAR WARS film. Revenge of the Sith was the last truly decent STAR WARS movie and I don't care what anyone says. The Force Awakens had the potential to be something good, but was played too safe.. And the only other Disney STAR WARS movie that is good, is Rogue One. However, the ground-work for Rogue One had already been done, so they knew what they had to go on. The sequel trilogy had every chance to do something new.. And yet, it starts off by basically being a rehash of A New Hope.

  12. Ok.. So, as the title reads.. The attack button isn't and doesn't seem to be working properly, for me. I've just recently bought a NEW PC (OS: Windows 10) (on the 24th August) and it has no problem running Jedi Academy, at all and I'm running the game through Steam. However, there is definitely an issue with the attack button. I currently have my buttons mapped out to be the following:

    Left Mouse Button = Primary Attack

    Right Mouse Button = Alt. Attack (i.e Saber throw)

    L = Change Lightsaber Style

    W = Forward

    S = Backpedal

    A = Left Sidestep

    D = Right Sidestep

    So, all pretty standard stuff, as you can see.. This is where the issue comes in, though.. If I stand still (on-screen character is stationary) and I "spam" the Left Mouse Button to attack.. Seemingly, everything is ok. However, if I try to move and attack.. It doesn't seem to register my attacking input or is very feint, at least and attacks occur maybe once in 5 or once in 10 clicks of the mouse. I didn't have this issue on my last PC (which broke down on me, last year and was the reason for the NEW, replacement system I bought just recently). As far as updating the software goes, everything is current (unless there's something I'm missing). If anyone's had or ran in to any issues like this in the past and managed to resolve it or knows what to do to fix the problem, it'd be greatly appreciated, if you could help out..

    The issue is present in both mods and the base game. I've tried it out in OpenJK and the base game and it has the same issue.
    I really hope I can get this fixed, 'cos it literally makes the game and any mods unplayable in its current state.

    Any help is welcomed.
    Thanks
