Will you be releasing all these Luke's together in a pack, publicly for download?

  2. I think I'll slowly start working on this over the next few weeks.

The head (obviously) is gonna be Cerez' Ahsoka. The rest I will start working on.

Alright.. Sounds like a plan. I know there's a few others around the forum who're wanting/requesting her, too.. So, should also be good for public feedback.

    Good luck!

  3. Personally.. Going back to what you said, @@The Punisher.. I think the JKHub staff have made a bad decision in disallowing "ported content". I can sort of understand their stance on it, because it doesn't showcase anything 'original'. However.. We as a community, are here to help each other out. That was what makes (or made) this community so engaging and a joy to be a part of. The fact that everyone was willing to assist others with respective content (requested or otherwise). I don't know about anybody else, but I feel this community is slowly dying now, which is a real shame. I've been a part of the community since the JK2Files and JK3Files' days and it's always been a very welcoming place.

But I think the allowance of ported content should return, as this adds another alternative to people who want models and content done, but modelers. etc. may not have the time (understandably), to invest in new model creation. There should at least be an in-depth tutorial on the site (if there isn't already) to show how to port various content, correctly. So, pretty much anyone can learn it for themselves and achieve their own targets or complete their own requests. Ok, you wouldn't want the 'Downloads' section over-run with ports, maybe limit the amount, by way of character/model skins or something, but to disallow ported content entirely, is just a bad move/choice, in my humble opinion.

  4. I understand it's a thing of principle, and I support the trolling, but why does anyone need a pink Vader?:ph34r:

They don't. It's purely a well-thought jibe at EA and their shitty antics and claims. How they (Blake Jorgensen) said that SW 'canon' prevented them from doing certain things (and that no-one would wanna see a pink Vader), when 'canon' goes right out the window in their game, anyway.. When you can have the likes of Rey and Darth Maul. etc. (among other mixtures) in the same era. EA can't stop spouting pretentious bullshit and this is a piss-take of said bullshit.

  5. As it stands right now, it's not something we're looking at or have even really considered. The original mod was Single Player ONLY and we don't have any plans to change that. That's what MB2 was created for. We really want to keep this a Single Player experience ONLY, as MB2 has no Single Player aspect to it. This highly likely won't have a Muliplayer aspect to it.

  6. Talking about the dialogs. Remember when in the old Movie Duels 2 the dialog was kinda chopped into pieces during the cutscene? Will that still be the case in your remastered version?

No, we'd had a thorough discussion within the team, before Christmas and all agreed that cutscenes will have the full audio from the movies. Plenty of sources for that on YouTube, so we're not short on scenes to use. This also saves a lot of time and effort trying to acquire or find the correct soundtrack's used for those scenes, with dialogue audio cut up to fit. We'll just re-animate the models during cut-scenes to fit the audio.

  7. Actually, the Movie Duels 2 mod ISN'T dead. It's very much alive. We have a team who is working on "Remastering" the mod and bringing it into the modern age. However.. As others have stated, with an immature attitude like that, you'll get nowhere fast on this forum (if at all). Throwing out insults to people really isn't the best way to go about getting or finding what you're looking for, especially when others are civil enough to give you a response. Maybe you should extend them the same courtesy.

But if you search on the forum, you'll find the "Work in Progress" thread with the content you're looking for. But you can search for that yourself.

In future though, you might want to remember the old saying that you should treat people how you wanna be treated yourself, if you want people to help you out.

  8. I think he meant the "2" at the end, cause he might not know there was a Movie Duels 1. The original Movie Duels, before Movie Duels 2, came out around 2008 and you had to unlock all the levels, and there was no rise of the empire chapter, menu looked different, etc. http://www.moddb.com/mods/star-wars-movie-duels/downloads Scroll down, 4th from the bottom.

Seemingly, he is the only person in this thread that's so bothered by it. We're keeping the MD2R (Movie Duels 2: Remastered) name, until we've completed the mod. That way, it's a name that everyone's familiar with (as they'll no doubt remember and have fond memories, of playing the original mod). It also helps to keep our recognition for the mod, high. We're staying true to and respecting what came before, from Wector (who's no longer available, unfortunately). We may or may not make changes to the name when we've finished, but it'll be a team decision, whatever we choose. Can we please now, put this name business to bed and focus on the content in the mod, itself.. That's far more important, than tedious name alterations.

  9. Ok, so while everyone's out celebrating.. Here's just an end of year update from @@yeyo JK, with our skyboxes and textures. Showing off the NEW Mustafar sky, first of all:

Next up, we have the Tusken Camp (that Anakin goes to in Ep.II, to free his mother).. As you can see, from the first set of images (which were the original mod textures), the map looks too bright and not very authentic to the movie version, at all.

Here's the same map, with edited and improved textures to be much more accurate and immersive:

And finally, a couple of small changes to Darth Maul eyes, to try and bring out that realism in his face and capture the Sith look he had in the film (This may still need some minor tweaking):

And closing out with the Jedi Temple library archives.. In the original mod, the lighting was more green, where as this has been updated, to be more accurate and changed to blue:

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE! We look forward to bringing you more updates and developments of the mod in 2018.

  10. i really hope you guys can reach that date you said and don't have that much of a problem, by the way, have you guys already found a new animator?

Unfortunately no, not yet. We're still looking to recruit one. If you guys know of anyone who's interested and can help.. It'd be a big help to us, to progress quicker. But we won't leave this mod to die and will see it through to its completion.

  11. Don't worry, my fellow Force users.. All will soon be revealed. We're hoping to have all the Prequel content in place and sorted, with how we want it, by early to mid-2018 (With the exception of any unknown bugs & glitches that might need fixing). I should (and I stress the word "should") have my new PC, by mid to end of January. Which is unfortunately why you've not really heard or seen any developments from myself (and @@Tompa9 has been keeping you guys informed and up to date), as I've been limited to mobile devices, for updates (REALLY sucks!!). But yes, rest assured.. We are progressing. Currently updating maps and their textures, which we think you'll be extremely pleased with, come release.

  12. Updated preview.

Hey, JAWS.. How did you get the saber glow to be that good? I mean what are the number values in the console? This what we're aiming to achieve in MD2R. Also, on another related topic, how did you manage to get rid of the ball shaped/oval glow around the emitter at the top of the hilt?

  13. Ok, guys.. We need to ask a really BIG favour from someone. We desperately need an animator. Our current animator (@@Rilobax12) isn't able to help out until February, 2018 (which is a fair distance away), especially if we're looking to get the first, proper release of the mod out by 4th May. We need an animator to animate models in cut-scenes and assist with stances, while @@Sir Crusher works on the camera angles. Your name would also be included in the mod's credits, if requested. If you can help and are interested, we'd be happy to welcome you on-board. Once this is done, we can get the mod out for everyone to test and play.

    Thanks!

    **Edit **

@@yeyo JK, we need you back in the server, buddy. There's a list of various things to discuss.

  14. You guys are kinda driving home the point that "ports are replacements to original work."

You guys just kinda shit all over plasmas work. Original work. Modeled work.

I was just making a clear and obvious point, that nobody who's done a Kylo Ren model, has managed to get his sleeves/arms accurate. I wasn't knocking Plasma/lervish’s model, at all. Then it all just seemed to "escalate" from there. We're not disrespecting lervish's model. You're just reading too much into what people are saying..
