  1. For those who don't know what he means: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Knight And the Imperial Knight lightsaber: http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/f/fb/Imperial_Knight_lightsaber.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20060623225257
  2. I'm starting this topic so we can discuss the skyboxes used in Jedi Academy. In my opinion, some of them are outdated and need a makeover. Many of them are giving you the impression that you are in something that seems to be the only location of the entire planet. Most of the skyboxes need a richer and immersive environment. I know that the maps are rather defined by how they are built, but skyboxes are still a vital part of them. Yavin Everything seems fine at first. The forest is there, the moon is there. But wait! Where are the temples? What this skybox needs: A dense forest with darker trees and some temples. Tatooine Garbage! Doesn't look like Tatooine, doesn't feel like it either. Utter flatness combined with sand that looks like concrete. On top of that, the Twin Suns are missing. What this skybox needs: Just put in everything that really looks and feels like Tatooine, especially the Twin Suns. Korriban Not a bad one actually. But again, it's one of those skyboxes that gives you the impression of being at the only location of the entire planet. What this skybox needs: A few more temples would be nice to see. Vjun There is something in this skybox that just doesn't look right. There are rocks, hills and a large sea. I assume that it wants to give you a sense of loneliness, which is fine, but it shouldn't look so depressing. What this map needs: The concept is good. But the brown-ish and foggy background should be replaced with something that reveals more of the location.
  3. The first proper Lord of the Rings model for Jedi Academy. I'm not a fan of Lord of the Rings, but I think this looks impressive.
  4. I'll be happy when nobody would mention that horrible "mod" again. It has caused many wounds to the community that just won't heal. I'm even going so far not to mention it anymore. Regarding EoC IV, I have no actual opinion at all. I'm pretty neutral with it. We can only presume what's really going, but we shouldn't accuse anyone here. We should wait until we get an official statement of Serenity himself. It might take some time, but better late than never.
  5. Don't expect that anyone is or will be working on your request. The last member responded almost two months ago, the rest posts are bumps from you. Keep in mind that there is a difference between requesting something and finding someone who is interested and picks up your request. I made MANY requests since I'm a member here, and only a few have been actually made.
  6. The skybox looks too much like Bespin, so it should have a skybox that looks different. I would choose number 2.
  7. Looking at the images, I have a feeling that somebody might use Jan as a basis for a frankensteined model. My advice to everyone: Please, don't use Jan!
  8. @@Archangel35757 I wanted to request motion captured animations many weeks ago. But then I thought "Nah, the engine might not gonna take it.". I hope that motion captured animations will be part of Jedi Knight (Outcast and Academy) one day. It has a lot potential.
  9. I would love to see THAT as a standalone mod. Tavion should be replaced in Jedi Academy. Looking back, I think Tavion was way better in Jedi Outcast than in Jedi Academy. In Jedi Outcast, she was a rather naive Dark Jedi, a rookie. After she left near the end of Jedi Outcast, she had her best departure. Who knows? She might have turned to the light side afterwards. But in Jedi Academy, she seemed kinda out of place. It was as if the developers were looking for an enemy and later thought "Hey, let's give Tavion another appearance", because they were lazy to create someone new.
  10. No googling necessary. Here it is. https://jkhub.org/files/file/1945-noesis/
  11. I like the idea of making a new force power out of it. And if something is not working correctly, it can be modified while still keeping the existing force powers unaffected.
  12. Easy one. You just have to edit the .sab files that are located in the ext_data folder. Just open the .pk3 file of that mod and extract the ext_data folder of it into your base folder. Once you've edited the files, you can put the ext_data folder back into the pk3. Let's take the Qui-Gon.sab file as an example. - First, open the file with Notepad. - You'll find these lines in it: - The bold text is the one you have to rename. (It's not bold in the file. I just made it so you know what you need to edit.)
  13. A modified version of Rax Joris could do it. He looks similar, so it shouldn't be that difficult to make Wuher out of him.
  14. Everyone who's seen The Force Awakens should know what I mean. To those who are not sure about what I mean, here's a screenshot from kalamaray's Enhanced Impact Effects mod. For the record, it doesn't show the actual force power. https://jkhub.org/index.php?app=downloads&module=display&section=screenshot&record=49193&id=2692&full=1
  15. The autoexec file reads autoexec.cgf.txt. In has to be autoexec.cgf or else it doesn't work.
  16. Of course there is. He will likely upload his recent projects to JKHub as soon as he has finished them. Just be patient.
  17. Try to use this mod as an example. http://mrwonko.de/jk3files/Jedi%20Academy/Skins/Vehicles/28213/
  18. Raven Software should have made the Imperial Gunners instead of those Imperial Workers. Finally, I have something to replace them.
  19. To me, Knights of the Old Republic never really felt like Star Wars, at least not like the Star Wars I grew up with (Classic Trilogy first, Prequel Trilogy later). But that wasn't a bad thing to me. There were still the essential elements of Star Wars in it, which was great. Maybe this project looks like Dead Space at the moment, but keep in mind that Knights of the Old Republic takes place about 4000 years before the movies, and therefore the style needs to reflect a very different era. And the first person view? The Unreal Engine is an engine for first-person shooters, so the templates of them are still there. But with some tweaks and stuff, you can make an RPG or something like Batman: Arkham Knight out of it.
  20. Coincidentally, the german voice actor of Jaden is the same who voiced Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool. Because of this, this model gets a big thumb up from me!
  21. Maybe it sounds like a ridiculous idea, but I thought it might come in handy if it can be done. One of the most requested things here is to make certain player models compatible with SP. Some requests are still unfulfilled, for various reasons. So here's my (ridiculous) idea: An easy-to-use tool, in the style of NPC Tool, that makes player models compatible with SP. It shouldn't be a pretty complicated tool, just something you can insert your desired model and it generates the necessary files. It would make the process to create SP characters a lot easier.
  22. I'm not a fan of Rebels, but I think the characters are well designed. They look more realistic.
  23. We need more material and references to begin with. Everyone's imagination is different, so people might misinterpret the things you've listed here, which can result in you not being happy with the work. The best way to show us what you want is to make concept arts and post them here. If you can draw and show us what your character looks like, people will have a better idea about what your character should look like.
  24. I'm wondering why nobody has requested Rey's speeder yet. I would like to see that as a replacement for the swoop bikes.
  25. I don't find it that bad. It's something that has never been done before.
