"Remaster (also digital remastering and digitally remastered) refers to enhancing the quality of the sound or of the image, or both, of previously created recordings, either audiophonic, cinematic, or videographic."
The title of the file should be Raplh McQuarrie's Concept Art Levelshots or something like that. Otherwise, it's an interesting file, i'll give it a try.GamerRedNeck and Key like this -

Great, high quality model.. As always. Will you be doing his new saber, Rooxon?
Probably not but i just might surprise you. I'd need a picture of the other side of the saber so i know all of it's features.

The update is here. Enjoy!

Seems like the tag_parent needs to be adjusted, the hands clip through the model, it can be easily fixed.
it does clip but forget it. a thousand things does in JKA. Not worth updating one more time, at this moment.
um, yeah, and the saber was featured in Rebels, not TCW, but good work anyway! (thumbsup)
sorry for the mistake, never watched any series out of these two. maybe some mod can quickly fix this issue in the mod description,

wrong. i didn't mean an animated saber weapon, i meant an effect that would look like spinning blades. sure the emitters would be stationary, one would think. but not if i made it seem like they spin (remove that part of the model, add a grey "spinning" part to the base of the effect gfx). still, it'd look clunky and it'd clip through everything that is possible to clip through. so the idea was a no-go in the end. A ton of things is possible with this old JKA engine, just need imagination.

no probs, forgot to mention: actual heli-saber mechanic not implemented. thought about making a helicopter-like blade effect and swapping it, but on the other hand, it'd spin all the time then. would look wierd.

Wanna throw this out there; one could use xNormal to bake the base textures, put them together in photoshop then recolor and draw on materials. A good help for that would be my tutorials in regards of map combination and how to work with all these different generated maps, but not as much for material drawing. I showed a lot of basic and maybe even unproper ways to do that there (meaning in the basic lightsaber modeling tutorial, photoshop way). If u want, u could link the tutorial there.
[sharedmedia=tutorials:tutorials:215]Another thing is that im currently using xNormal 3.19.3, so this version uploaded here is outdated, nevermind the dotxsi support. some might overlook that in the description. Some important things were added in the latest one too:
- Added Photoshop CC 2015.5 / 2017 support.
- Added 3ds Max / Maya 2017 support.
- Fixed a bug computing the bent normals map.
- Fixed a bug reading vertex colors from FBX files.
- The program now requires Windows 7 to run.
- Added support for the GeForce Pascal(10XX) architecture.
- Updated the installer's UI.
- Recompiled using the latest libraries. -
Yeah, one thing tho; you keep the highpoly way too sharp around the edges. Textures would look nicer if you baked it once you tone the edginess down; for baking, you want even the sharpest edges to appear a bit smooth. Then there's a little line on the emitter where you seemingly for some reason either broke the UVs or decided to use another tone of color, which produces this difference... well all i'm saying is you should have kept it consistent but since its such a small model, no one except me will ever notice. So I guess it's fine like this in a sense.

Oh this makes me sad in a sense. So many Unreal Engine projects, never completed...

I tried to get help on mod assistance, but no one helped.
You forgot to ask me. I'd help.

It looks nice ! But srlsy??? It was most requested??? It is just glowing stick O.o
Like 20 times alltogether. By different people.

Nope Circa's is way different, check it out for yourselves! Circa tried recreating it completely while AngelSoul created it with his own interpretation. Looks almost like a model tbh! Nicely done!

Can you make Mara jade's saber, trying to find a hilt model, but no luck
I need reference. If you can provide it, I could see what I can do.
-
Awesome hilt! I thought you was doing the swtor training saber next?
I thought that, too. I gotta find a HD clear reference for it.
-
Oh this hilt was requested to me. It's on my to-do list as well, good to know the name. Awesome effort tho for your first saber!
-
This is probably the most original mod I've seen in a while (probably since Ashura's Turntable playermodel). Damn, my little cousin got scared when I spawned a bunch of those.

so, this is your imagining of how the saber should look? because I haven't found any ref pics
personally, am not a fan of fork-hilts, but it seems well-put
Reference pictures:
I took the first picture as a base then combined it with the spikes/boxes from the second one.

In mp it loads it as kyle katarns lightsaber. I cant get it to work
Wrath, for MP, you need to have it in your base folder and so does everyone else, or they will see you use Kyle's saber. Additionally, if this hilt doesn't appear when you join a server, it means it's not uploaded to it either.
So, the file needs to be in your base, in the server base and in every other player's base, or they will not see anything else than katarn's hilt.

but but...there's already a ton of baseball bat sabers for jamp!
True, I noticed this after I've done it and submitted lol. I guess I can update this one to whatever the community wishes though.
need to make a Lucile version
Yes, exactly. Post pictures of all the various bats you'd like to see done (the name of the bat as well, please). This bat is a 15 minute work (modeling + texture) so I didn't mean to make it look good.. just a bat with a huge knocback but I guess I can work on this some more and make a baseball bat savage pack for JKA.

Hehe that's nice good idea!

*downloading now* This is soooo gonna be on our server this week

Darksiders II - Death
in Player Models
Posted
Darksiders games are two of the most enjoyable games i have ever played. It pulls you into their lore, which fyi resembles the real lore by quite a vast amount. The three realms, human, angel and demon fighting a war and four horsemen coming to save the day. It's incredible.
This model, though, it is very nice except for one huge general mistake. The mask is way too big and i mean WAY too big. It actually fits on death's head originally. Had you taken note of that, it would appear fantastic, worth of all praise. Not that it's not now, don't get me wrong; just a good advice from me for future projects. Gather several references, study them - BEFORE - you start creating whatever you create. If you find different concepts on every step, go for the middle ground - gather up your favorites and create your original one from there. Some bits of this model almost seem like it was ported - which is, in my opinion, wrong. I stand hard ground to create whatever i create from nothing; a new 3ds max file and a white, new file in Photoshop/Substance Painter 2. That's how all mods should be done - i'm not even too fond about frankensteining characters. But taking into account that AshuraDX has provided the base mesh, i'm not even too stunned that it looks great - i'd expect it. Nothing comes from that dude that isn't awesome. There's some other flaws i'd point out but i don't wanna appear too criticizing or, for most people, like the "one who knows it all, he just wants to show how clever he is but he's an idiot". We all know what jealousy speaks to us so i won't elaborate on this.
Nevertheless i left you a 5 star rate and a download. But you got talent, maybe more than i ever had. Work on it!
