  5. I've got another matchup for you. No, this isn't a dating game. It is a chance for ya'll to debate on who would win between these two characters. Use logic and knowledge of Star Wars lore to back up your choice, when necessary. Keep in mind the characters' abilities and personalities that we are aware of through the media they are featured in. Obviously some of these apply to the EU/Legends canon. Assume these characters are in their prime age, power, ability, etc. unless stated otherwise. So gearing up for the new Solo movie: who would win in a fight, Han or Lando?

  7. Accidents happen. You only needed to explain that you uploaded the wrong one, and Ashura would have probably said "okay that makes more sense" and we could move on.
  8. And you're just telling us this now? If you uploaded the original model than the accusation holds true, that it was in fact the exact model. His post was harsh, yes. But you didn't even point out that it was the original model until just now. I don't doubt you were able to do something like this in one day, after messing around in Vectary myself it makes things very quick. No harm there. Again, I encourage you to use this method to keep learning. If you give up after someone accuses you of copying work, then you just appear guilty.

If you were given a picture of a cartoon character and a pencil and a stack of paper and told to recreate the picture to the best of your ability with unlimited tries and final product as to be done from scratch, what do you do first? You'd probably trace the original picture a few times right? To get the feel of how the character is drawn. Then you move on to doing it without tracing, because the rules state it has to be done by your own hand, not the original artist's. Since you had unlimited tries, tracing it in the beginning is not a problem, and is expected for you to learn. Same applies here. Tracing and using the original model is fine and encouraged. But to take that and claim it as your own and from scratch was just completely false. That's the issue people have here. Using the process to learn things was great, that site looked really cool. The fact that you did that project within like 1 day was impressive, hence me asking what site it was because I wanted to also check it out. The fact that the original model is a port makes it worse because you would have been fine by just keeping this a port request. Nobody cares as much as you are making it seem regarding asking for ports. It only becomes an issue if you submit ported content to our file section, which that whole situation was handled almost a year ago now. The point of this whole thing was to question your mindset on claiming that model as your own, and instead use it as a learning stepping stone to actually creating it from scratch. I encourage you to work towards making a version without "tracing" the original. It'll take a bunch of tries I'm sure but it would be rewarding and you could actually say you made it from scratch.

  11. Saying you made a model from "scratch" by tracing an existing model is kind of a stretch, wouldn't you say? And also seems kind of pointless. You may as well just use the original model, no?

  13. The project rate has to be changed as well. Otherwise it will just revert to what it was when you opened it, because that's what the project is set to when opening. You don't have to use the resample function, this method should suffice, from my experience.
  14. Are you changing the project's sample rate down in the bottom left of Audacity?

    No worries, I think it's boring as well. My map projects always have a motto when I first start them: function over fashion. This map was specifically made for that hidden platform. I just went in and made it a lot prettier than it originally was and decided to release it.

    I felt like the skybox was more overcast feeling so I went for overcast lighting. If by roofs you mean the awning things above the doors, they do case some shadow but it is faint.

    This is small duel map set in a courtyard in the Naboo capital city of Theed. There is a button on the middle balcony to reveal a duel platform, surrounded by a pit, to keep the duels interesting. There is room on the sides to use this map in FFA mode as well. Bug: There is a timer on the button, which means you can't push it over and over, to avoid people spamming while other are dueling on the platform. So if the button doesn't work right after you use it, wait about 10 seconds. This was a map made for a specific king of the hill type of event in my clan. The premise is everyone lines up by the main door in a single file line and the two people in the front of the line duel on the platform. First person to get cut by a saber must go back to the line, and the next person enters to challenge the survivor. Last person standing wins.   23. You can edit the hitbox of an NPC and vehicle as in, the size of it, in the NPC and VEH files. But you can't change how the hitbox works without code changes. There is a command to show the boxes ingame but I totally forget what it is and can't find it anywhere.
  24. Again, not true at all. I have tons of map PK3s in my base named something different than my server does, and they work perfectly fine.
