Blame @@Caelum and his bribery

XF probably.

We are going to go through a huge renovation around here soonish, so yes, the files will be available on mobile devices. You can still use the default theme on mobile devices though.

It has a new icon, .exe, folder, and .cfg. I don't see why it can't have an innovative launcher too. You could always modify it to look like the original one if you wanted.

Here is a decent tutorial on that. http://jkhub.org/tutorials/article/9-installing-editing-and-managing-pk3s/ Basically you need to put the contents of the OpenJK folder in your GameData folder.

Welcome! You can find the OpenJK FAQ here: http://jkhub.org/topic/2220-frequently-asked-questions/ Assuming you're using Windows, installing it similar to any other mod, if you're familiar with them.

Yeah, that.

Well for the beginning of the mission, I was going to have it fairly simple. Get from point A to point B, with some cutscenes mirroring the film in some way, to give some orientation to the stormtrooper part of the mission, which will be more in depth. I like the idea of having to fend off tuskens throughout the mission, like in KotOR.

I stopped reading after this paragraph, but just like to say that the Dropbox bandwidth limit is probably not enough either. Maybe with @@Caelum's hosting but that might be up to him to allow such things.

Link beat me to it. Yep, using that button will notify us instantly. Fixed.

@@Scorpion take a look at our ideas for the Tatooine mission(s) we've got here and maybe work from there. Keeping it close to how it looks in the movie might be tricky in this case, since it's a large never-ending desert. Could be difficult in JKA.

Looks great so far. I noticed in MT that the "council" chairs weren't solid. Was there a reason for that and will those be like that as well?

Invincible NPC´S on Single Player?
Circa replied to invadersmustdie's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
If all you're wanting is to spawn NPC's for fun, giving them more health might be the only option. There may be a script method but not sure. @@therfiles @@eezstreet -
Welcome Are you looking for single player mods or multiplayer mods?

29070 is the main port that JKA uses. Try forwarding 29060-29062, 29070-29081, as I've heard those make it work.

I wasn't planning on writing up an article about this, but now I'm thinking it would be a good idea. Last week, the Humble Bundle program refreshed it's current offer with a handful of very popular Star Wars video games, including titles such as Knights of the Old Republic, Battlefront II, Dark Forces, The Force Unleashed, The Force Unleashed II, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Empire at War, and of course, Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. [Edit on Feb 10:] They have added Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, Starfighter, and Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight to the $12 tier. If you're not familiar with Humble Bundle, it's basically a program that offers a number of PC/Mac games for cheap, with the proceeds sent to a certain charity or other nonprofit program. There are usually three different tiers of games that can be obtained with a minimum donation. With this bundle, our beloved game, Jedi Academy, was featured in the $1 minimum tier. That's dirt cheap, and it has greatly affected the community. As of writing this post, 298,000+ copies of the bundle have been sold. Since Jedi Academy is in the minimum tier, that means all those sales contained the game. Crazy, right? And it's only halfway through the sale! Here you can see a nice graph illustrating the drastic climb at the end of these three months, taken from Steam player data. This only accounts for Steam players, not ones using the disc, app store, or OpenJK versions. Here's a closer look at the past few days. As a result of this, servers are full again. Clans and other groups are seeing a rise in applications. Luckily, the Raven master server was restored to function just in time for this to happen, so all newcomers can see the server list and join at ease. This was a boost that this community needed, and it's good to see that Raven still cares about this old game enough to fix the master server for us. If you haven't yet, head on over and purchase the Humble Bundle. Even if you have some games that are offered, the other ones are worth spending a few bucks on. It really is a good deal. There are 8 days left to take advantage of this. Click below to check it out. Click here to view the article

If you want it simple, I'd be willing to give it a shot.

And remember that you're releasing this to the public, not other coders. A change log with user friendly descriptions will be the way to go. I've noticed many times that those issues on GitHub have lots of wording and terms that might as well be a foreign language to me and most others. Even some support topics made here have that problem. I could get into this more later and in a different thread, but just remember to keep a noob in mind when going forward from here.

Agreed, change logs would be super nice for the official releases. I'm glad to hear its nearing first release!

What stance/animation mod do you use for those?

Was that client side only or also server side?
