The Force Awakens Conversion Mod for SP
Circa replied to GPChannel's topic in WIPs, Teasers & Releases
That should be r5d2.npc. You must be doing something wrong. I need more info than just "it won't work" -
Welcome! All those are great options that Ramikad listed. For the HUD you mentioned, which one are you referring to? There's an option built into the game that lets you have a simplified HUD similar to what you're saying. If you open up the console (if you don't know how, read this) and type cg_hufiles 1 As far as multiplayer, there are a few big mods that servers use. The main one is called JA+ and it changes a lot of mechanics to the saber combat but adds some cool features. To be brief, it focuses on making JKA more of a social experience, rather than a combat experience. You don't need the mod to play on servers that use it, which is good. Another big mod is called Movie Battles II, which requires the mod to be on the servers (iirc). It focuses on recreating battles from the Star Wars films, similar to Battlefront. It features maps and characters from the movies that you can play as. There are a few more than that, but you can find out about those from someone else or on your own. Other than that, most servers have custom maps. There are hundreds of maps that have been made by modders. I can point you to some really popular ones that servers use if you are interested, though most servers stick with base maps to attract more players, since the game is so old.

Well they announced a new Lego Star Wars game for The Force Awakens! It looks really good. I just hope they don't have dialogue. All the recent Lego games have dialogue, but the original Lego Star Wars had none.

From the film Princess Bride. But yes, if the project isn't being worked on for months and no plans in the future, it's dead.

TFA = The Force Awakens TFU = The Force Unleashed

I agree, although it allows them to focus more on a certain era. Perhaps they'll release a sequel with prequel content, and then another sequel after Episode 9 comes out for the new trilogy.

Any way I can make the EP7 Stormtrooper Replace all Stormtroopers?

Can you upload your pk3 so we can take a look and help you out further? I'm sure it's something simple. -

PK3 files are just compressed folder directories. So create a new folder called ex_data, then create a new folder inside that called npcs. Then put the new stormtrooper.npc in that folder. If you're using Packscape, make a new file in there and drag over your new folder. Save as EP7Replacement.pk3 or something like that. Then put in the base folder. Definitely read up on this: The Basics of NPC Files And this: Installing, editing and managing PK3's Those explain the basics of pk3 files and NPC files. -
True. I blame EA. At least DICE has control over it now to take their time on more content and fixes.

@@Ruxith that would replace the default stormtrooper model though, which isn't really ideal for what he wants. That would mean that when they play MP, stormtrooper would be replaced with the EP7 one. NPC files are the way to go in this case. Barricade explained it well. There are multiple stormtrooper NPC files as well, so make sure to change those too. It's in ext_data/npcs -

You're gonna want to read this then: [sharedmedia=tutorials:tutorials:146] You'll just need to copy the stormtrooper.npc file from the assets, edit the model line to the EP7 trooper model name, save and put in the EP7 trooper pk3. -
Pretty sure they can be purchased separately. I've never seen a DLC pack only available with a season pass. Also, each map pack will have a handful of maps based on those locations. It's not 1 map for each DLC, like you might be assuming. More like 4-5 (or more?) maps per DLC. The Jakku free DLC came with 2 free maps taking place on Jakku.

Dang. Much flowers. Such foliage. Looks like something that would give about 5fps. Looks really good though!

He means that if it's for personal use only, then asking permission isn't necessary. Otherwise you'd need to ask permission to use any mod in general.

Are you requesting that someone create this for you, or are you asking for help in creating the mod yourself? -
