New Empire Storm Trooper

This is pretty bad ass. Would be a cool replacement for JO/JA stormies considering their designs didn't change within 10 years in the slightest apparently. If theres one thing I could suggest for this model is that the visors are a bit off. Otherwise quality work from a quality modeler.

It's been a while since a WIP was seen from you, looks like the wait was worth it!

He's been working on Gorc for the Dark Forces II project for some time.

Take part how? i'm using his concept, he's done his part. Please don't, paid professionals don't have time to waste.

You wanted to know the name of the trooper. By taking part, I meant in the sense of offering some background on the character. But I'll make sure not to help in the future, don't worry about it.

We have a different understanding of "taking part" you made it sound as if he would be involved. Which sounded kind of odd. :P

Well maybe I didn't word it quite right.

So, the character is called: New Empire Storm Trooper

And here is another image that MAY help.

Yup, got all the refs from the game already, that's usually the first step.

What New Empire is that? Is it first version of Stormtroopers or is it from time after destroying of second Deathstar?

The game was supposed to be set after the events of The Phantom Menace, during the time of Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith.

The 'New Empire' refers to the Legacy-era, as part of the game was going to take place there. Maul would end up in the Legacy-era somehow (probably carbon frozen or something) and meet up with Darth Talon.

" Lucas stood up right in the middle of their pitch, walked over to a nearby table displaying a model of Darth Maul and another of Darth Talon, put them next to one another and said “they’re friends“. Nervous Red Fly executives, who’d explicitly been told not to correct Lucas about anything to do with Star Wars prior to the meeting, raised their hand and asked Lucas how this would work, considering they lived a century apart. Lucas, without missing a beat, shot back “make him a clone” of Darth Maul or something."

Direct quote from Thomas:

There was never an official name for this design. The Brief i received from LucasArts said it was to be the next generation of Storm Trooper - a progression of the original design. Internally we called it the Neo Trooper. So this game was loosely drawing off the 2014 Darkhorse comic where Maul wages war against all to rule the Galaxy.

Also he really likes the work done so far on this model, he thinks it's awesome. Though the name of this trooper is the New Empire Storm Trooper on his Artstation page. :P

Are the creases Floaters?

I'd love to take a look at your mesh topology. Or is this Zbrush and not doen in 3ds max at all?

Floaters indeed, it wouldn't benefit me at all to create a pure subd model, all i care about is how good it will stick once baked.

Even a subd model will require floaters at some point, some of the small details you won't be able to cut unless you collapse to super dense geometry, here's an example of how i built a "pure subd" mesh with finer details floated on top:

I do make use of floaters, some areas on the clone wouldn't have been fun to model without them.

My main struglles lie in hard, angular shapes flowing into rounded areas without getting bumps or pinching.

The usual answer to that on Polycount seems to be "add more Geo" which can be a pain as you know.
