KyleKatarn1995 Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 I'm surprised no one's ever done this one before, has anyone ever feel like porting a K-2SO model to Jedi Academy? In case you want to know, K-2SO was a tall security droid that once worked for the Imperials until when Cassian Andor reprogrammed him to stick more with the Rebel Alliance. Anyways, I haven't found any 3d models of K-2SO except there was a printable model which that won't do. Unless if a few JKA parts would do for K-2SO. krkarr and ZanderNao like this
Futuza Posted December 24, 2016 Posted December 24, 2016 I'm surprised no one's ever done this one beforeThe movie came out literally last week...lol. No need to make it K-2S0 specific though as it could serve as any imperial droid if someone does want to make it. eezstreet and KyleKatarn1995 like this

K-2SO is included in the latest issue of 3D World magazine (Issue #216) as a texturing tutorial... I downloaded it from the magazine resource downloads here: www.bit.ly/vault-216-starwars ...however, the model file format is ZBrush (.ZTL), so you will need to find someone to convert it for you.

ZanderNao Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 Decimate is such a scary term, but it makes sense. Good luck to all that take up this challenge.
Beyond Heretic Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 It'll probably be done at some point considering how popular the movie is. The only question is when ZanderNao likes this
KyleKatarn1995 Posted June 17, 2017 Author Posted June 17, 2017 Good news guys, it seems like I found a model of K-2SO from the Force Arena game. Wonder if we'll use this one? https://mega.nz/#!vxED3ZwT!dAQBc4YBuhTQe4oFPRYPij88zv4cQyIL0Jom6i4VjYc
AshuraDX Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 @@KyleKatarn1995 I would not use this Model for JKA at all. it's actually far too lowpoly to look good in JKA and the texture resolution is a joke at 256x256. Could fit into Empire at War though. he'd also need a custom skeleton and custom animations as he doesn't fit the generic humanoid skeleton from JKA: you could probably lengthen his torso while shortening his arms and legs to make him work, but that'd be a substantial change to his proportions and just wouldn't look right.
Lancelot Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 I agree. The model just doesn't look right for Jedi Academy, in many ways. It's another example that proves why models like this one should be done from scratch rather than ported. AshuraDX, KyleKatarn1995 and swegmaster like this

Archangel35757 Posted June 19, 2017 Posted June 19, 2017 K2 should be an NPC with his own skeleton... imo.
