This is NOT a Teaser, this is NOT a project it will NEVER be done. This is just my thoughts, very old thoughts, on making this game more interesting, nice, good looking etc. Well, I think I'll start with the gameplay :, generally I really do like its vanilla gameplay but it could use some improvements. 1) For example I think that weapon shooting is a little bit boring, adding more dispersion to the guns, not just some random values but depending on player state, should do just fine. For eg. if playerstate == walk angs[YAW] += (WEAPON_SPREAD + 0.5f );angs[PITCH] += blah blahelseif playerstate == run Of course this code is entirely wrong, but I guess it shows what I have in thought. 2) I do not have any objections to to saber fighting system, but maybe fixing some of the special features like ground stab or saber locking, would make them actually worthwhile and they won't be a mere annoyance when enabled (well only one of them can be disabled) Also fixing force requiring moves like pull stab, slashing would be good in siege mode (any in siege mode only) 3) Fixing votes so hackers can't access server files and than finishing the development of team votes which were supposed to be implemented. 4) Fixing in game award system, 5) Making animals work in multiplayer (yay, that's a part of my old JAE project. Well I plan on fixing howler with my friend, when I will finally learn C language). Adding them full AI support for their animations (like rancor's attack against high targets, which would finally make rancor any threat) 6) General fixing, adding features and fixmes, that are in code and they seem possible , have sense. For eg. there is a comment that shows that unlimited staff chain is only temporary, but changing this, and thinking of new chain limit, would just discourage players to use it, On the other hand lots of other changes mentioned in code, would be a nice addition to our game. This of course would require a skilled crew, eezstreet maybe? Don't really remember that much coders. Graphics and immersion : 1) When it comes to the graphics, shadows need a little bit fixing, don't know if its possible though. cg_shadows 2 looks really nice, but they are often created on player in very unnatural way, that makes it look extra weird cg_shadows 3 on the other hand , are way to dark, and act like static, shadow can just flow in air. 2) Retexturing the game... Not really. While new textures are sufficient for player models, I use JulioC's characters (except of jawas), just textures don't really cut it when it comes to general look. Using Graphics overhaul, and Better graphics combined, can give you great textures and amazing look, but its still squarish and there is a contrast between quality of textures and 3) models. Yeah, what this game needs is a general reworking of models for objects and litter, bottles, cards, chairs , that kind of stuff.They'd have to be a high quality like Szico's or Inyri's. Right use of glass effects , and shine, reflections is crucial. 4) General map improvement, maybe adding some new maps, to each gametype. At least one per type. 5) Using better sound really makes you feel a lot nicer. I have made one mod, Rancor's Sound overhaul I think , for sure it starts with Rancor's and have sounds in name, it really makes you feel way better playing the game, also changing sounds text file to make some of them audible in wider spread worked just fine. Hearing waterfall before you see it is good. This mod is NOT download able, as I have used sounds from Oblivion, Left 4 Dead, and some from internet, WITHOUT permission of original owners, therefore I have no right to upload it anywhere.It's just for my use, sorry. That's all I can remember for now, but I sure have more ideas how to improve the game, which I will post somewhere here. Doing something that big would require a lot f skilled modders, (which are actually reading it), and I repeat, I have NO intention of making such a thing. It's just an idea box for you guys. Hi, well most of you probably already know me so I don't need to introduce that much. What you may know, or may not know is that I spent a lot of my time reviewing maps in the past, and some may have realized, that I'm back to it : reviewing every new map I see uploaded on this site. Generally I would like to ask you to rise amount of stars, 1-5 scale is much inaccurate. In my reviews I always use 1-10 scale (with halves sometimes). So if you would add 5 more stars, or a possibility to add half a star, it would be great. Why does is matter? Well if I have to give my rating to the map, average but good map, get the same amount of stars as almost perfect one, pretty dull isn't it? The second improvement is more like an idea, it may be good idea to add option, do uploader agrees to have his file reviewed. This way I will sadly have less maps to check out, but won't write lenghy to do lists for someone who doesn't care about what I think should be improved or isn't really good enough. Yeah thats right! Tell'em Inyri! You guys wanna fight?! Jk. But its true people here are being too hostile sometimes. I was kinda dissapointed to JKG but not because of its aspects. It was because player assistance. I joined serwer after the first release. But all my questions were ignored by staff member, if he had answered, I wold realise its not installed properly, and I wold probably play it.

Rancor's Review Well this one took me a while to review. It was tricky because my aim was not to review a map, but its Christmas special. Generally, one can not deny mapping skill of that map, I haven't review anything for a loong time, lets say 2 or 3 years. But I have still rated dozens or maybe hundreds (two or three at max) Still It's really rare to see map with ice, well working ice at least. The most rare thing of all were reflecting mirrors, witch I have only seen two times, but they aren't part of this review. Another great thing is snow, I'm impressed really good job done with just a few layers of weather. There are few places where snow comes into the house, but that's not important. Still, I don't really feel this whole Christmas atmosphere, its snowing yeah, and there are some cuboids with festive textures, but still... There I was going to say that it may be the music, but then I realized I may just plaied with having it muted. If there is some X-mas music, don't care about that one. If there is none, consider adding it next time . Well I don't really know how to rate it, if I was going to rate the whole map, I would give 8,5 out of 10, but since its just a review of new face of it... I think that this isn't bad, but well... I'll give it 7,5/10. Have a happy New Year!

Rancor's Review : I ain't really keen on duel maps, but I thought it was worth a try, when map is small, review is also smaller Actually : I haven't review so enjoyable map since Naboo Hills or Sith Council v2. You got two scenarios on this map, first one (the FFA version) is more like single player action. - You get three minutes to defeat a bunch of suicidal Reborns, - There is lava , so watch your step (or jump) - Glass on the middle of the room, is actually four layer breakable floor, this allows player to use some dirty tricks. - Thanks to the fans that swing beneath, you MAY not die if you time it right. - After three minutes of gameplay (you will be informed about remaining time) core reactor will blow up, no matter you defeated the bots or not. - Killing all enemies allows you to take shelter, and watch explosion from safe place, keep in mind that this door will take a long time to close - Than the room will be all destroied and scorched, when fighting other players, you have to be very careful about electricity. Second scenario is just a duel map, its exactly the same, but there are no bots, and when you run the reactor, there is only one minute till it blows. It was a very good map, but It could be a little longer. Some minor and major problems in your work : - If you get to the shelter, there is no way to get out - Under the flor, where fans swing, there are two metal supports, but they kill player for no reason. - Invisible walls, I know it would be problematic if player could jump there, but well it is just an obvious gap in the world, still you cant land on it (talking about the walls, where the cables are.) So yeah, to sum up : This map is very good, creative , nicely made , and gives you a little adrenalin shot. You get strong 8 and half from me. Good work BactaBoy (4/5 in JKHub stars)

Rancor's Review ; Generally, its a very useful mod. Simple, easy to make (for someone who knows how to), lore friendly and its awesome modder resource for a player who wants unfinished game features. Whats more, you don't have to do anything, because Minilogoguy have already added *.sab files - your staff sabers can be broken now, makeing you play using dual wield. I have never ever given five stars before, but there is really nothing to lower his score. This mod does all it should do, and does all it could do. 5/5 Still, next time you should make screens using bind command, unless you want us to read that Penis was sniped.

There actually is a command for toggling huds, you can find it in articles on my site www.jediacademy.cba.pl artykuły - komendy -> lista komend jk3. Writing from phone so can't link directly. The only problem is to figure out how to name your hud so ingame cmd finds it. Search for something like nexthud

Adding spawn flags in game? (entities)

I can't make radiant work on my pc (win 7) so I cant edit bsp files, as far as I know at least. Spawn entity command has incredible potential, and with additon of little scrypting you can do just any scenario come true. Npc spawn id name would get useless too, cos there are a lot of entity npc's spawning them. Using spawn ent, allows you to program unique behavior for every one of them. -

No that's not what I mean. Probably "adding" in the main title deceived you. I want to use already existing flags like "STARTOFF OPEN NO_KNOCKBACK ONE_SHOT NO_IMPACT" etc using ingame spawn command. -
Hi, lets just treat this as a modding question. I spend ages playing with JKA, JKA mods , JKA coding (this is actually fun to read even if you don't know C language) but some things i have never figured out ad they always bugged me. This was to be my best achievement ever, but I just can't make this out! Its forth, maybe fiftht time when I try and try and I fail. Does any of you know how to add spawn flags in game? (Don't know what I mean? Here's an explanation) But how to add flags, of specified options using spawn command? I tried many many way but I always get no such spawn function or just default set entity. PLEASE HELP!

Well... This one has really interested me. I turned on my JKA , launched this map. And sadly got disappointed. This is standard quake ctf map. Nothing fancy, just some free space to fight, pick up weapons and med packs. If you are just looking for a map to play ctf - this is a good map. But if you want something more, sadly it lacks quality. The whole place is squarish and empty. I guess if you have good sense of Role play you may actually feel like being in stronghold but there is really nothing special to tell about it. Pros : - Nice, straight CTF map. - Good size, its not too short, nor too long. Just perfectly fit. - Balanced. - Places where you can fall, etc. - Two floors to fight on. Cons : - Just an average map. - Squarish and plain. - Not too much of a stronghold, nothing that makes you feel like on Dathomir. - Mysterious light from no source on ramps. All in all this IS a good map, but only for straight Capture the flag game. My rating 2.5/5 (3 stars)

Yeah I agree. Reviews should be made by staff only. And normal people have comments. But every file MUST be reviewed for that to work.

Question about saber trails, mainly script/code

T-This... THIS IS BIZZARE! I don't know what is going on. I tried to apply it to my guardian sab (three files 0 1 2) as first sab i found. Then it crashed my JKA with trailStyle. But I changed saber names and it worked. Well JKA at leas, cos trailStyle didn't. But then I noticed it ignores all my new anims (yes they actually work) deleted trailStyle line form ONE of the sabers. It crashed my JKA again -,- . ITs sleep time, but I;m going to think of something tomorrow. I was sure I used this before and it worked... In Realistic tusken staff if I remember right. So please wait till tomorrow I will came up with something. -
Am I the only one who thinks this actually Marshal Law? (He might not look like it in newer tekkens, but the newest I have ever plaid was Tag Tournament, and He looked pretty much same to meh)

Is that really necessary? EVERY Moder / maper / skiner / modelist etc. (well at least most of them) ALWAYS write in read me file how to install his mod, no matter how simple it is. I don't imagine searching for that on youtube. I know that many people don't read read me files, but well that's their fault it that case.

I think I might write a review or two, but well, I can't ensure that all my reviews will encourage moders . Been testing mods back in... hmm 2005 I think. Don't remember exactly, and I made few myself (and not finished over a dozen) so I'm pretty demanding when it comes to mods, and can rate both game play and technical side .

minilogoguy would you allow me to use your broken saber models in my RP Sabers mod? (Funny thing is I was just about to ask if someone can make such models ^^) Since I'm using standard hilt models it'll be able to expand single player a little (optional file editing few NPC's) -

Have you been ever tired of that you can't personalize your character in any other way than forces? Well not any more! Roleplay sabers is pk3 that will allow you to play classes on FFA mode! Now your fighting technique won't be defined by Saber offence force level, but your saber. This mod is server sided, so you can't use this sabers on any server. If for some reason you ignored what I wrote and downloaded prepreprepre-alpha release, you have to create own game to use them. From version 0.11 you will be able to use them on Official European Public Server Be careful not to abuse them! Admins may treat this as cheating is used on person that don't even know about RP Sabers. Whats coming up next? - massive enhancements, just wait some time please. -
