Why is the trigger just a big piece of metal? It's not that way in the prop, I mean it sort of might look like it but that's just shadows being cast. -

@@Archangel35757 Did everything pretty much, I just made a script that will give you a tag primitive and it's local axis matches the axis the game uses. I mainly just helped him find his way around SI and did some testing. I LOL'd when he said it was much easier to make plugins for SI than Max which is funny coming from a hardcore Max lover. -

The advantage of a viewmodel is you can put more detail into the areas you see since the game wont be rendering an entire character model, performance will be better. -

You could just use Face Robot, it already exists and does a pretty good job, it's not just for MOCAP. -
Man, I thought I was late to the 16:9 party years ago, can't believe people are still using 4:3. You guys should upgrade, there are always deals out there to be had.

The nastolgia factor is great for the old cutscenes but redoing them would almost equal the work on the core game itself. It'd be nice to have them done in CGI or use like the Unreal movie thingie like the JK2 movie did to get a higher quality result. GLA animation isn't that awesome to use when looking at things up close and detailed. -
No, I mean having ONLY widescreen choices in the menu, there is no more 4:3.

You could maybe gather some reference from the cutscenes also. The game model was too big. -
@, it's gone further than that, the DF2 renderer supports widescreen only with actual toggle settings in the menu to choose a variety of resolutions as if the game shipped that way. Pretty sure 4:3 support has been removed since no ones using that type of monitor anymore.

I meant more like a creature rather than a player model. Like with custom animations using the Howler NPC class as a base. -

^This, most of the highly skilled modders are moving to the newer render engine since they were all pretty burnt out on modding 2004 graphics. I know graphics don't make the game better but the artists need more of a challenge at this point.

A lot of the stuff up there was Hatrus, I helped him put a lot of those in game but I don't have any of them anymore. I had a Naboo N-X Police Cruiser that I made back in the day but I lost it. =( -

Only good thing about blender is that it's free, it kinda stops there. You could copy over the weight map with just about any software. -
It'd be much better if someone just made the face based off of a young Ian McDiarmid to make the cloned emperor.

I just don't see why you'd go backwards in tech. It's like converting a fuel injected engine into a carburated one, totally backwards, no pros, only cons.
