MOD Suggestion: The Old Republic Mod
Circa replied to LordDesann's topic in Mod Requests & Suggestions
It actually seems more like a KOTOR mod rather than a TOR mod. The skins he wants to use are more KOTOR-esque. -
I'm pretty sure he's talking about just one mini mod that just changes the FX, not a whole big conversion. This one has what you want in it I believe but it also has all the other effects boosted to the max. Those could be removed however to leave you with the saber sparks. http://jediknight3.filefront.com/file/Weapons_Mod;57766

MOD Suggestion: The Old Republic Mod
Circa replied to LordDesann's topic in Mod Requests & Suggestions
Hey eez, you probably shouldn't venture into the Mod Requests & Suggestion forum too often if you get like this with people's requests. It's a valid request. Not everyone wants to get into modding and that's perfectly understandable. -

How do I keep a Model status off in modview (HELP)
Circa replied to Jlflash2's topic in Mod Requests & Suggestions
The skin file is the easiest way to do this. Don't bother with the other said methods. Also, this is the wrong section for this topic. It should be in the Modding Assistance section. Just letting you know for future topics you make. -
That'll do.

MOD Suggestion: The Old Republic Mod
Circa replied to LordDesann's topic in Mod Requests & Suggestions
I understand what you're getting at. I always get annoyed when people say that to me as well. This is the request section after all. I might think about doing it since it's incredibly simple. That being said, they are right that it's the easiest thing to do in modding. Don't be daunted by the word and concept of modding, a lot of it is very simple. In this case, it's a matter of combining said models into one folder and renaming some lines in their NPC text files. If you ever want to start getting your feet wet in modding, it's a great way to. -
Is there a way to use maps from Cintematics?
Circa replied to YesImSev's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
Use the command "cam_disable" to disable the cinematic camera. Then you can kill all the NPC's and use the map for whatever you want. I do it all the time because the Academy cinematic level is very wide open and fun for lightsaber battles with NPC's. Then type "cam_enable" to reenable the cutscene. I have them bound to keys because I use it so much. This is only for SP though. -
How many SP players are there here?
Circa replied to katanamaru's topic in Jedi Knight General Discussions
I love SP because I think the gameplay is a lot more smooth than in MP. I also didn't have internet when I first got both JO and JA and so SP was awesome. I'm a huge Star Wars nerd and it's probably the most fun Star Wars game to play. Sure, JA's storyline sucks but it's still fun. The storyline mods are my favorite, other than gameplay tweaks. There are some crazy cool SP levels that people have made that are awesome. I wish people still made them. Ones like the Dark Forces mod just simply amaze me. I always wished to be able to make one of those kinds of mods. Sometimes I just load up a map from the Star Wars movies and try to recreate a scene or just mess around and spawn a bunch of enemies how I want and go through it. It's pretty fun and not something I can do in other Star Wars games. I too can't wait for SP code mods. Hopefully some hardcore SP players will be making a couple of them so they know what should be fixed, tweaked, or added. It seems most of the coders are focusing on MP. -
Looks great!

But he redownloaded the file so I don't think that's the reason, or else everyone who downloaded that file in the past would have the same problem.
-
I guess that's the only thing you can do at this point. It would be nice if other people would come give you more advice. Maybe @@minilogoguy18 or @@eezstreet might know.

That's super weird. It is in the base folder right?

Jedi Outcast Singleplayer Error [Game CD not in Drive]
Circa replied to Elune_Auriel's topic in Jedi Knight Tech Support
What was the point in downgrading? -
It was probably his monitor. Most monitors have an auto adjustment feature.

Do you have any other mod that changes Luke's appearance? It sounds like something is interfering. Does the lightsaber hilt that comes with it work? Type in saber luke_rotj and see if it's the more accurate hilt instead of the blocky one that is already ingame.
-
That's looking pretty great! Keep it up!
-
Yeah, try that and report back. Maybe the file itself is incorrect. That happens sometimes.
-
Toshi's Luke: it has to be an issue with the file structure. Any HS Anakin model reskin: You have to remove the * from the r_hand tag in the skin files. It's from a modeling error I believe.

Single Player mods. As in new levels and missions.

I'm not surprised. Things like this happened before Disney took over. I didn't think Club Penguin was all that popular anyway...

It's here on JKHub. You should look before posting. https://jkhub.org/files/file/777-new-force-lightning-pack-2/
