If I had the skill of making maps such as SJC or Szico I would have launched the project. Look at Epic Challenge Mod III WIP, it's not bad, but I don't have the level yet for this kind of projects. If I had it, I would have launched the project, as I always finish what I start.

 

If some great mappers are interested btw, and modelers/coders, I would be glad to launch a Jedi Knight Mod.

 

I'm still a bit angry that every mods who tried to do the sequel of JA have stopped.

Mate this is not tooting my own horn or knocking what sjc gave the community at all BUT.... On a technical end SJC's maps were horribly built. Every technical rule you should follow, he broke. In truth this is why his maps had horrible FPS and in the end he limited what he could do without even realizing it. Many of us tried to advise him and to help him grow, myself, Darth G and others. He was just far to stubborn. Szico on the other hand may have for a while been a tad sloppy but later fine tuned his craft and became what I consider easily one of the top ten mappers for this engine.

Please folks remember, SJC is gone for pretty much good, and I'm not knocking him as a person, but any one who has seen one of his .maps could tell you they're not much better then base JKA maps as far as construction went just without any attempt at vis control to make matters worse. And beleive me base JKA maps and JKO for that matter are so sloppy in construction I don't even know how the managed to compile them. I've got a sick rig and I still can't compile some of those sample maps without having to adjust thing's... XD!

In other words set your standards a bit higher, SJC was great because he gave the community a lot, especially during the prequels era. But on a technical level, he never tried to learn more and shot himself in the foot over and over because of it.

I want this removed... You did NOT have permission to use my texture and most definitely were not given permission to edit it! I am really getting sick of how many people are disobeying my wishes and using this texture, re-uploading Vader under different names on other sites... You can use toshi's vader withing his own wishes, my texture... NO!

I thought I said not to modify my skin Lord Vader....That means for personal use as well... It specifically said when i released my Darth Vader to not modify it at all without my consent, you can modify toshi's original vader, but not the version with my textures...

Cause she's Op as hell XD! makes desann cry!

This model lacks in many area's, the face is pretty good, but "I" cant even fix this via skinning to repair the lacking textures on the robes. The UV Mapping is so messed up on the arms and other places it's impossible to fix it up. This model is also missing several important details.

The two saving graces for me are the face (Which I again had to touch up) and the sounds.

This model is really well done as is the skinning. I would really like to see some one put some effort into a new Darth Sidious. The Mb II one lacks highly in the skinning area, even my attempt's to fix it were halted by the fact the robes were so poorly UV Mapped that it distorts horribly in many spots.

I don't understand how you all are missing textures. The map works perfectly fine for me, at least, in terms of textures.

You more than liely have the jko maps for jka, so you probably have some of the textures it used. I was lucky as I as a mapper I automattically move all the jko textures over to my jka base in folders name textures/JKO-(PLANET W/E).

Yea Pm me, I'm putting together an updated version of this to add that and npc's as well as fix several errors I've recieved reports on, and a critical crash problem for myself and other folks that we didn't encounter during preliminary testing.

I'll be updating mine in about a week to include full npc support, bot support as well as fixing this and several other errors I've ran across.

LOL The entire map tells a story, it's part of the mystery. But if you look around you'll figure it out. Just look for the thing's that are different and they'll get you started.

I comepletely agree, I swear if I see one logo or any thing disney before those scrolling STAR WARS words, Ill walk out and renounce the Force. These skins though !!!! LOVE THEM!

Im just gonna say this, there very pretty, great texture work, but theres some thing funky going on with the neck that just sticks out like a sore thumb. Theirs also no real definition to the chest, they dnt need like a busty thing going on, but there not angled right, no breast is shaped like THAT... I even had my gf double check XD Overall 7/10
