  1. Particularly a fan of your Natasi Daala. Just finished the Legacy of the Force series a few months back and thought she was a great character.
  2. Best cinematic of any Star Wars game. I also love the Nick Okarr character (the space cowboy).
  3. I'm always impressed at the attention the JKA community gives to the tiniest details. Well done!
  4. It drives me crazy that they can't decide between the a pose the T pose and hands by their side. Sorry for the bad grammar. I'm on my phone
  5. As long as we can hear that sweet theme song sung by Queen each time he spawns.
  6. "Ooohh! You're an angry one, aren't you?" -Boc, Valley of the Jedi, 1997 (Earth years)
  7. Hate to be "that guy", because so much of this looks amazing, but what's with Anakin's shadow in the last screenshot?
  8. I'm confused. Then I'll lose Jeff's modications. I'm looking at characters he creates like Lumiya and Corran Horn rather than ports from SWTOR, etc.
  9. In the end it won't matter in my case. They get a quick trip into Blender to delete caps, merge all objects and export to OBJ, then it's off to XSI Mod Tool for polygon reduction (if needed) to around 3-3,500 polys and enveloping. Battlefront models rarely aren't all one mesh. On occasion they are, but everything gets merged at game compile time anyway.
  10. Nice to hear we have your go ahead as well, but I'll just say that @@DEVISS has been hard at work for a long time giving us HD clones: http://gametoast.com/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=24475 Thanks much!
  11. @@Jeff -- I'm not quite ready to do so, but I'd love to get some of your work into Star Wars Battlefront 1 & 2 (the old ones). Given that I'd credit everyone else who contributed to each model, would you be okay with that?
  12. Maybe we'll just run WordPress and I'll modify a files plugin. Thanks!
  13. So I've been looking to integrate a downloads system, and our current setup is all PHP. The long and the short of it is this: PHP-basedOperates as a subdirectory of the current site (so I can quickly edit the header for a link to the download section)Allows users to simply put in a link to their download (Mediafire, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc) -- to save bandwidthAllows linking to external screenshotsBasic sorting and search featuresFreeI've been digging through several different CMS sites for their extensions, but I'm wondering if I'm just not phrasing what I want correctly and so I can't find what I want, or if there's just a simple "downloads only" PHP section. I'd love to have something like JKHub's, but it looks to be IP.Board, which is costs. Essentially what it comes down to is how can I have a files section that uses external bandwidth for the actual files, and doesn't cost anything. I ask here mostly because I know that a lot of custom work has been done on JKHub, and so I figured there might be some knowledge of third-party apps. Thanks!
  14. Well the true test then would be the original model and your model as an overlay. Because the reality of it would be that nobody copies every polygon perfectly, even when trying. Verts would be slightly off all over the place. In other words a fake of a painting could be determined, it's the same with a model. If your model were put directly over the original, would all the verts match up perfect?
  15. You kinda got bigger problems to handle first. If your PC dies the model won't matter.
  16. Any ideas what the average poly counts are on these? ... Also, is it weird that I find Doctor Aphra hot?
  17. The Battlefront maps have a totally different scale. On top of the fact that EA's EULA doesn't have the same clauses the "Disney" EULA does, they just wouldn't be fun in JKA. Even older school stuff just wouldn't play the same, or even enjoyably. By "Viceral" I assume you mean Pandemic Studios.
  18. I'm going to play devil's advocate here, but for attacking hordes of enemies I've always loved the original Battlefront II. I love that force speed is about taking longer strides instead of multiplying the number of steps per second. I love that the moves were built to slice down enemies and keep moving. For one on one combat I always loved the Revenge of the Sith game. As much as I adore JO and JA, it always felt more comfortable to me to not have the camera behind the jedi in force duels. I always loved the versus combat, whether against the computer or another player. What JO/JA has going for it is a nuanced setup -- it matters when and how you strike. What it lacks, and what Revenge of the Sith has, is fluidity in animation. I may not be quite as much in control, but my character truly looks like a jedi instead of someone flailing a sword around. I still wish there were a quality fighting-only game that starred all Star Wars characters. Like Soul Calibur-level quality, but only Star Wars characters. And no, Masters of Teras Kasi doesn't count.
  19. I'm not one for dumping memes in posts, but.... In all honesty though, aside from what @@IrocJeff mentioned if the number of active players gets inflated by pirates it actually helps instead of hurting, because they think people like the game. Sure, some corner of development notices there are lots of pirates, but some other corner (the PR corner) says "OH HEY! LOOK AT OUR PLAYER NUMBERS!" Besides, this sounds more like a justification to pirate the game rather than a chance to stick it to the man.
  20. Yeah, but I'm almost 40 and I love it. I mean truly to each their own, but I love the fact that Luke isn't invincible. He gave himself in sacrifice so that good could live on, so that a new rebellion could begin. He was a broken man that tapped back into the force for all that was left in him. It sucks that Luke is gone, I totally agree with that. I had kind of hoped that he would train Rey longer. But if he had to go, it would be in defense of a sister he loved and a cause he believed in. I guess that's why I can understand the way he went out. In regards to viewing it as a saga, I see it that way too. Characters come and characters go, yet the story, the world moves on. Still, I respect that people don't have the same opinions. I guess it's just hard to understand the severity of the hate. Pull it from canon? It just feels rather harsh. I mean we had the yuuzhan vong in the EU -- this is mounds better than that. It truly would have been great if Luke finished the saga alive, but it is what it is, and if he had to go out I like the way he did.
  21. I'm genuinely surprised by all the hate. It was a really enjoyable experience for me, even if it's not the top of the list as far as the films go. I saw it as a clear passing of the torch without feeling too heavy handed about it. I loved that Luke showed power like we haven't seen before. I love that Leia gets the force nod we all knew was there, even if the execution of it wasn't perfect. A lot of the things I've seen questioned across the internet have had precedent in other films. But with all that being said I'm more disappointed that people didn't enjoy themselves. It's like they went into a different film than I did, or walked into the theater already offended by things they heard on the internet.
  22. Or you can ask the author of the updated version over at www.xwaupgrade.com -- it's a much better version.
