  1. Regarding levels. I can get models in ioquake3 to show off normal mapping in existing maps but when I try it on a wall texture, it just disappears so not sure what's going on there. I can't seem to get a dynamic sun working either with the info ioquake3 provided. :\
  2. I've mixed it up a little with weequays and mercs. I disabled weapon dropping for anything but explosives so you can't get a bowcaster on level 1.
  3. I didn't see any Gamoreans in the first level, I think they are in the 2nd.
  4. Coded part I'm not sure of, seeing as I can't do such modifications myself. Model + animation though I can do.
  5. I can put in a 3d scene (not a map) but it won't have any lighting so I would have to bake shadowing onto the textures. It is doable though. Or I could just make it a video.
  6. When the demo is out and if I get a "You can't use those videos" then I'll do cutscene work. But, it won't be as good as the videos in terms of movement and it might end up losing that "DF2 feel".
  7. I've played around with normal mapping and specular in ioquake3, if I'm of any use let me know.
  8. Looking very cool! Anyone can do what they want with my work, so long as I get credit for the original. You could stick a flag up his butt and I'd approve. I was making a sand trooper but I ran out of time due to starting on DF2 mod.
  9. NPC would be a lot better, just surround it with "do not enter" brushes to keep it still but able to attack. The mark1 droid has destroyable parts you could see how it's done. If done right, this will look awesome.
  10. You may want to include DM_AUTO for your boss's deathscript otherwise the boss music will loop forever. EDIT: For some reason, it doesn't like going from forced music to DM_AUTO but do DM_SILENT then a wait 500ms then do a DM_AUTO.
  11. This level is taking alot longer than I had planned, but I'm learning a great deal and I'm adding cool stuff.
  12. What exactly is the problem you're having? If it's to do with models not being positioned properly with misc_model_static or misc_model_breakable, do this: 1) make a misc_model 2) add the MD3 model you want 3) position it where you want 4) change the classname of misc_model to misc_model_static or misc_model_breakable depending on which one you want This is what I do so I know precisely where to place models that do not shop up in the editor.
  13. I'm wanting to use new ones, and I'd like some concept ideas from everyone here about what they would like to see. P.S Models can be shown with almost no load time lag and with shaders, but no lighting.

  19. @@Xycaleth It's not meant to be using its own skeleton, it's a clone of the file I used for my JKA stormie. I'll send you fresh files anyway.

  23. Yeah I kinda didn't fully understand what you meant. I tried to explain the problem with the splits to Xycaleth and it just came out horribly so a pic was more useful. Btw I never found a difference in using lose duplicate verts option, good or bad. :\ @@Xycaleth Will there be a script file to use with the converter once there's more features/options? One thing I can think of right now we would need is setting the scale.
