Hmm....it's a given that any "Xbox" can play games....this console is doing something that's new, and that's the integration of entertainment. The PS3 and PSP both tried that with little success. PC had done this, but remains expensive to the average person. It's a GIVEN that the Xbox One can play games. The true purpose of that reveal is to demonstrate the integration features that the One brings to the table. Gameplay is, and will be reserved when E3 comes along. That was promised by the Xbox Team; Gameplay capability would be demonstrated at E3 at it's fullest potential. This is a teaser for things to come. Now quit bitching and wait for E3, then you can truly bitch and complain.

emphasis on the unexpected part To be fair, this was resolved alot faster than I was anticipating, so I give many thanks to Caelum and the rest of the JKHub network team.

A vast majority of website under the JKHub network is down at the moment of typing this. What seemed like a singular issue on my blog has become an issue for every other website with a ".jkhub.org" hosting or is hosted generally by the Hub. These websites include GoD's webpage, JPrax's webpage..basically many of the the JKHub Bar webpages are now not working. I need answers from those involved with the hosting. The common message that pops up is that it was "Moving to a new host". Yet I received no emails from anyone involving some kind of move. I need to know what is going on, and alot of other people need to know what's going on so that I can spread the word out as soon as possible. Thanks in advance Mog

As you already know, Mog's Blog is continuously expanding to accommodate more people throughout the JKA community. In part of this strategy, I have made Masta (aka P!ng) to be co-contributor for Mog's Blog and he has announced a new article series called "The ABC's of Competitive Play". Lovely image by the way... Anyways, in this series...Masta will go over core elements of the competitive community of JKA, and he will explain to those outside of that community the things that makes the competitive community tick and tock. Despite my love for JKA, I have always been a fan of JKO more than JKA. To put it simply...I enjoyed the story and I enjoyed the vibrant community that was created.

I agree with afiNity; so long as we give proper credit, we should be able to upload files from other users whom are not on JKHub.

It sounds like what our download section is for. Why not modify our download section to accommodate this kind of stuff?

It's a good idea to have a separate section for general coding talk. It would benefit alot of people.

Also, it's hard to define what exactly IS allowed. Copyright laws are an international pass-time these days. It's hard to not find some place on the net that has a rebellious belief about them. However, many of those beliefs are mis-interpretations on what the law actually states. I would think that, yes, it IS illegal to use assets that don't belong to you...so long as you don't literally copy and paste the game files, rename it as something else, claim it as your own and make money off of it. If you're talking about taking the assets, modifying the code to change certain elements, but then citing that code as belonging to a third party and only taking credit in editing that code...then no one is going to go after you. The only issue with that is if you decide to claim everything as being your own, and not of the third party. It's one of the reason why modders are not dragged off to Federal Prisons; they modify the code, but still cite the original makers of the code, and only claim responsibility for the modification. As for the OpenJK project, it is totally legal. All that's being done is using the resources that RavenSoft released and using it to modify and fix the current issues that are presents. As long as those working on the project take credit on the modification itself and not the entirety of the assets, then no legal issues will pop up.
