So I downloaded the Koft 2.1 Mod and I followed the instruction here. When I click on Kotf2.1 SP or MP, it says no shaders found. Any help please?
I feel I know your issue, but first show a screenshot of your Gamedata folder.

New version of the launcher has been uploaded. You may now download it through the Moddb link above or run your updater to download it through there.
V7 Changes:- The Updater will now display a more accurate download percentage based on how much has been downloaded byte-wise instead of file-wise- Fixed an issue where the Updater displayed too large of a file path. It is now scaled back to only display the name of the file.- The Updater will now display how large of an installation/update you're downloading.- The Launcher will now inform you if the Jedi Academy 1.01 patch hasn't been installed prior to updating.Maksman, Starlord101, Lancelot and 1 other like this -

Hear is a link to it. i couldnt figure out how to post a picture
Yeah, you needed to open the kotf-windows folder and merge the gamedata folder inside with your actual gamedata folder.
But as Fire Phoenix said, it would be easier for you if you use our launcher, it'll download the mod for you and keep you up to date.

Can you show me a screenshot of your gamedata folder please?

So with the command SET_PLAYERMODEL one can swap out the cast of the JK:A SP campaign to replace enemy types and friendly NPCs with the cast of KotF?
In a way, but it'll likely also change the character's playerteam, which could cause the game to break. Attempt it wisely.
Don't you think that is too ambitious?
Yes, very much.

Would an "NPC swapper" of sorts be a plausible and or desireable feature to be implemented sometime in the future of KotF?
I believe it's already possible to do this with scripts. SET_PLAYERMODEL.
-
Would an NPC editor be able to swap characters? For example swapping the stormtroopers for droids or Kyle for Obi-Wan? I'm confused if this thread is talking about the the spawner that has made it's way into the mod or talking hypothetically about something that has yet to be seen, as I think an NPC swapper would be LEGANDARY.
Unsure

Almost one year ago, the beta was nearing the end of development before we released in February. To celebrate this milestone, we held a contest for one fan to win early access to the mod. This time has long since passed, and we've been wanting to do one again. With our next two missions on the horizon, we would like to offer the same deal, and make it even sweeter.
On Tuesday, December 11th, 2018, at 3pm EST, we will be hosting a brand new early access trivia contest on our discord server. The winner of this contest will be given 3 days early access to the next update, and subsequent updates that contain new missions. Not only that, but the winner will be able to leave their mark on Knights of the Force permanently, by having their own personalized NPC added to the mod and named after them.
How do you join this contest? It's simple. Simply PM me on Discord (Linken#6000) by 11:59PM EST Monday, December 10th, 2018 stating your interest in joining. The contest will cover multiple aspects of Star Wars, including the films, TV shows, Video Games, and even behind the scenes. For every 10 contestants that join, the period of early access for the winner will be increased by one day, with the maximum length of time being 1 week.
So if you would like to be the first to storm the Jedi Temple as Darth Vader, or learn what would've happened had Luke struck down Vader in Return of the Jedi, now is your chance.
Finally, for those unsure if they are knowledgable enough to join, a small practice quiz will be made available to you. Complete it at your leisure and see where you stand.
QUIZ: https://goo.gl/forms/SGukIku5Uf2vvppC3
We hope to see you in the contest. Thank you for following the development of Knights of the Force 2.1, and may the Force be with you.

Not sure I understand your question, sorry. You make the command to spawn them, but their names are done and written in the menu.

Hello, just wondering if the old school FFA modes would be intact? My favorite thing in this game is going around with a saber/shotgun combo and just shredding the first thing I see
I love the mix of lightsaber/ranged combat that base FFA provides, especially with weapons + force enabled.
...My other question is how much experience needed to work with this engine? I'm pretty terrible with code but understand geometry/calculus fairly well. I've made some maps in the past but am not sure how much more complicated it will be in this engine? The most I've ever really done is going and making custom geometry in hammer editor for CS source, I've made some decent maps on FarCry but those don't count since they're on console. lol. I'd be interested in throwing some FFA maps together and helping with the game mode if it exists.
If interested in my design style "Deck_1337" is a popular one, its top rated on FarCry5 Xbox one, you can just search my username as the gamertag and itll come up (Cattlepsy) I mostly specialize in old-school arena style deathmatch.
FFA is still there.
Code isn't too hard to figure out, there's just a lot of it.
Map making is fairly easy, just be prepared to add in a lot of menial details.
Hopefully I got your questions!

PROGRESS REPORT: 11/13/2018
This report will be going over what you can expect to see in the next update.
TWO NEW MISSIONS
Today we're pleased to officially announce our next two missions.
Our first mission, developed by me, will depict the final fight in Return of the Jedi between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. Keeping with the tradition of playing different characters, Luke vs. Vader, which will be later dubbed as "Father vs. Son", will allow you to play as Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Emperor Palpatine.
Our next mission, a direct result of our recent community feedback poll, will take place during Revenge of the Sith. Developed by team member Darth Voiid, you will be able to experience Operation: Knightfall, the beginning of the end of the Jedi Order. Operation: Knightfall will give you the choice of playing as 3 characters; Darth Vader, Cin Drallig, and a 501st Legion Clone Trooper.
REVAN VS. MALAK
Changes have been made to the Revan vs. Malak bonus mission, and will be available with the next update. Aside from some minor bug fixes, the biggest change to the mission is that Revan will no longer be a mute. His voice will now be provided by Kevin Smets, the voice of Logan Starr/Revan in the KOTOR Trilogy series on YouTube.
NEW CHARACTERS
Internally in the team, we are currently putting together a new batch of characters for you to be able to choose from. As we want to release a large number of characters at once, the new characters we have presently will not be available in the next update. New characters will include Darth Zannah, Serra Keto, Sira Tachi, and Emperor Vitiate, with more on the way.
MULTIPLAYER BOTS
Production on the heavily requested multiplayer bots has begun. Like the selection of new characters, the bots will not be available in the next update. We will be attempting to add as many bots as possible with an easier way to select which bots you want to play with. Adding botroutes to maps thus far has not begun development and will take up a lot of time. If anyone with experience would like to volunteer to add botroutes to the maps currently in the mod, we would be incredibly grateful.
CONCLUSION
To finalize what was stated above, here is our current roadmap for our next 2 updates.
UPDATE 1: Luke vs. Vader (ROTJ), Operation: Knightfall (ROTS), Revan vs. Malak fixes, misc fixes.
UPDATE 2: 2 new missions, new characters, multiplayer bots, language translations, Duel of the Fates fixes.
Thank you for following the development of Knights of the Force 2.1, and may the Force be with you.

Because you pirated the game. The real error is your judgment, not the mod. Buy the game before you play the mod perhaps.
(PROOF HE PIRATED FROM DISCORD)

Ok cool. Thank you for telling me that its in the plan, do you know when exactly it will be implemented
No idea right now, sorry.
-
Do you know when you dont want to play with people online, and just want to play with bots.
Do you think you could add the feature when you can make the bot be obi wan kenobi, anakin, luke and so on.
Because i dont really like playing online with people, and they get me annoyed. I would really like it if you did add it
We want to do multiplayer bots, don't worry.

A new version of the launcher has been released, you may now download it manually or through the official KotF LauncherV6 Changes:- The Updater will now display text indicating how many files remain to be downloaded and have been downloaded.- The Updater will now display text more appropriate to the situation if you are updating or installing the mod.- The updater will now automatically remove any files deemed obsolete by the team. It will at present remove the original KotF_Ep7_Skin.pk3 and KotF_Ep7_NPC.pk3 files if you have not removed them already.- When selecting Update/Install, you will now be given the option to shut down your computer after completing the installation or update. This will allow you to allow the updater to run overnight, and the updater will shut down your computer for you.- For the sake of convenience, you will now have the choice to automatically connect to the official KotF server upon selecting Multiplayer.

Hello!
I have a problem with a mod. I dont know if anybody else has ecountered these problems.
On many maps the „clone weapons” (DC-17, DC-17m, DC15A, DC-15S) are buggy. When fireing, the laser blast cannot be seen. Trip mines and flamethrowers are also affected by the problem. Recently ecountered a situation where none of the weapons had visible blaster bolt. (Naboo Hills map)
I have a relatively strong gaming pc with the latest drivers.
Thanks for the replies.
Unfortunately with the limits of JKA, effects are kept at a finite amount, it has nothing to do with your computer.
If we can find the area in the code to increase the number of effects, then it won't be an issue anymore.
None of the weapons are bugged, I promise.

We are currently looking for beta testers! We are looking for 3 individuals to help test new features for the mod and bring it up to as high a quality as possible! The initial voices of the players, beta testers are the first and only line of defense between the developers behind the software's creation, and the user base.
Originally, all you had to do was simply post "I want to be a beta tester!" but now we will be holding an "audition" of sorts.
An open beta will be available for the fixed Revan vs. Malak bonus mission. The mission will feature a number of bug fixes in addition to having Revan voiced by the talented Kevin Smets, the voice of Logan Starr/Revan in the KOTOR Trilogy on YouTube.
If you are interested, please download the new KotF_Missions.pk3 file, play through the mission a few times, and fill out the google form.

What we are looking for in a beta tester:
- Prompt, thorough testers, looking for bugs and reporting them with very specific details.
- People not afraid to express their opinions and stick by them.
What we are NOT looking for in a beta tester
- Lazy individuals who take forever to get the job done without a reasonable excuse.
- "Yes men", or individuals who agree with everything the developers decide regardless if it's a good or bad idea.
Perks of being a Beta Tester
- Early access to all features
- Taco tuesdays (sometimes)
The beta tester recruitment process will last until 11:59PM EST Saturday, November 3rd 2018. After this I will carefully look over all beta test results and select 3 individuals who will then be announced on Discord Tuesday, November 6th 2018.
We look forward to working with you.

French. I have 100% translated what Tim sent me as files for KotF 3.0 (which was never released) and could make it again for your team, from English to French.
Appreciate it, we'll be in touch.
