A fix for the launcher has been uploaded. An error present in earlier versions of the launcher resurfaced and has since been addressed and fixed. You may either download the launcher from the link up above or run the updater to get the new version.

 

If you decide to run the launcher, delete the original KotF-Updater.exe file while the updater is searching for files that need addressing as quickly as possible.

Clean out your base folder of all mods. That's usually the cause.

So for example I start Revan vs Malak and Malak is pretty much stuck and wont move at all. Im new to the mod.

Can you show me a video of your issue please? That sounds too farfetched to be true.

The first time nothing came up about it. After i uninstalled and reinstalled it thats when it warned me. I tried on base game after the kotf 2.1 sp wouldnt load just to try

i used the launcher to install everything. i ran it as admin. i tried from the vanilla game mod selection. unistalled and re installed and still nothing. no screen comes up

 

 

i uninstalled everything after being warned about a torjan:win3/zpevdo.a file in the updater

 

i would really like to get it running it looks amazing. im using windows 10

Do not use the base mod selection to try and open the mod.

 

And there is no virus in the updater. Never has been.

We want to, I hope we can.

Many have wondered about the state of our next two missions; Operation: Knightfall and Father vs. Son, there have been few details about how close we are to finishing, now it's time to reveal.

 

Voiid and I have been working hard on our respective missions, hoping to deliver the highest possible quality for you all to enjoy. However, as life gets busier for both of us, time to work on the missions gets smaller and smaller.

 

To address any possible thoughts on us getting lazy with the mods, I elected to release the fixes to the Revan vs. Malak mission ahead of schedule. However, this has only delayed the inevitable.

 

As it stands, Father vs. Son is close to completion, with Palpatine's POV remaining. Knightfall on the other hand has taken longer than expected, and we're unsure when it will be done.

 

Fire Phoenix and I talked, and we came to a compromise; if Knightfall isn't complete by February 6th, we will release Father vs. Son by itself on our 1 year anniversary; February 9th. We will then focus efforts on Knightfall, release that, then get to work on the long process of developing 2.2.

 

Tl;dr: Father vs. Son will release on February 9th, confirmed.

Yes you can, you'll have to do some studying to do it though.

That tool is used for developing npcs, we actually used it for our own npc's. You can use it to modify any npc's you want though.

MISSION IMPROVEMENTS

 

REVAN VS. MALAK

- Revan is no longer a mute, and his dialogue is now fully voiced. Revan's voice was provided by Kevin Smets, the voice behind Logan Starr/Revan in the KOTOR Trilogy.
- Revan's appearance has been changed to his Jedi appearance.
- Revan's initial walk to Malak will no longer stutter and will be smooth.
- Malak will now ignite his lightsaber immediately during his flourish.
- Revan will no longer get distracted by whatever he was looking at before, and will now face toward the oncoming ambush.
- The player will match Revan's viewing angle and will be facing the correct direction in the respective situation.

Addressed and fixed with the next update with friendly fire.

 

We don't have a menu for music, but the command is "music <path to music starting with music>"

Am I supposed to trust this sketchy program? 19 out of 69 Anti-Virus softwares flag KotF-Updater.exe as Trojan.Generic including some of the biggest AV's with best protection out there like Bitdefender, F-Secure and Ad-Aware. Yes there is a chance that it is false positive but am I going to take that risk? No, not now until I'm sure the file is safe. I need a proof that the file is safe.

There is no virus, I wrote the thing.

 

It downloads files from google drive and deletes outdated files. If you give the updater permission, it will shut your computer down for you. I added this feature for fans so if they need to update and it's bedtime, or have to be somewhere and want to update without running up their electricity bills.

 

Additionally, a majority of our fans use the launcher and have never experienced issues with their computers crashing or any other issues. The only issue was a brief time when the launcher wouldn't start the mod, but that was fixed.

So, I'm rather new to this and this seems to be an old thread, but I'll ask anyway. I tried running the script shown, but the game can't ever find the targetname, even when I name them and stuff. Am I missing something?

When spawning an npc from the console, the syntax is as follows:

Yeah admin and all that. Even uninstalled both the whole game and launcher, nothing.

Reinstall the mod as you did before and post screenshots of your gamedata, base, and kotf folders please.

Hello everyone, we hope you all had a great holiday season, got to spend time with your loved ones, and received a nice gift or two.

 

It's been some time since we announced our next two missions, it's taken longer than expected, but milestones have been reached, we have been making progress.

 

 

FATHER VS. SON

 

Luke's POV: 99%. Essentially done, with some minor tweaks needed.

 

Vader's POV: 70%. Production started today, most of the mission was completed with Luke's mission. Needed sound assets have been collected.

 

Palpatine's POV: 25%. Official production hasn't started yet, however sound assets have been collected. This number will go up once Vader's POV is completed.

 

 

 

OPERATION: KNIGHTFALL

 

Vader's POV: 65%. Knightfall will have 4 levels. The first two are complete.

 

Cin Drallig's POV: 10%. We have secured a map that will be used as Cin's starting point. Production hasn't begun.

 

Clone Trooper POV: 33%. Concepts have been made, and we will be using level 2 of Anakin's POV as a level.

Very very well. Luke's POV for the Father vs. Son mission was completed last night. Vader and Palpatine will only take a few days.

 

Knightfall will take a bit longer. But once I finish my mission, I will be helping him.

You can create your own droideka class based on game source, but I believe this requires a lot of work and research. Assassin droid can use shields for example and they are more easier to understand than Galak because of less complexity.
