  1. This question is probably better in the jk2mv forum, but - did you use the installed or portable version of JK2mv? The installed version doesn't read mods from or write to the original base folder, it uses the Documents/jk2mv/base folder for this. It will also read from the Program Files/Jk2mv (or wherever you installed jk2mv), but I'd probably suggest having all your mods in the same place at least, so Documents/jk2mv/base is a good place
  2. The question is whether you play multiplayer or singleplayer. If it's singleplayer, JK2MV can't help. But if it's multiplayer, you should really get JK2MV. It stands for "multiversion", because it can play 1.04, 1.03 and 1.02. In addition there's tons of security fixes, stability, resolution and more, and also stuff like dynamic glow and as NubSmoo mentioned, you can use JKA models in JK2. https://jk2mv.org/ There's also a jk2mv section here, if you're playing multiplayer https://jk2.info/index.php
  3. That's some pretty cool videos, @@Iffo. Good showcase for that Rannon Praxeum map. Is it on JKHub? Didn't find it.
  4. The texture has what looks to me like healing brush patchmarks, or these kind of blurred and washed out spots that are noticeable when close. If this is the edited one, I was wondering what was the source?
  5. I think that looks pretty good, isn't too harsh on the eyes, but you're gonna have to give up some of the texture's personality if you want to make it look uniform in the distance. Maybe it would work better to have a more uniform texture, then blend a larger one (higher res) on top which has much greater tiles and has greater color range. Also some more rocks and objects could help make tiling patterns be less notorious in the sand, but there will be too much sand overall to rely on such. What was your source for the sand texture?
  6. Posh. The times I've had the issue, I've had some kind of logic messing with my files structure (with JK2MV installed version, you end up with a total of 3 base folders, to give an example). Using the q3map2 interface? Double checked that it has the correct installation's engine path etc? Otherwise no clue.

  8. PM me the Womp. I have an old project of it here, but it looks way more unfinished than I remember it. I can't promise to finish it (otherwise I'd self destruct), but I'll see where I left it, and maybe fiddle around with it some more
  9. What I meant was, pack it up properly in a pk3 and test it on your PC Read mrwonko's and Pande's replies: https://jkhub.org/topic/3140-textures-tiling-in-game/
  10. When things appear really tiled like that, too small etc, I remember it has something to do with your path set-up. Have you checked if it also happens when you pk3 your map + texture? Maybe the autoclip spawnflag? It tends to put an invisible wall somewhere random.
  11. Maybe it doesn't have write permission to the program files directory.
  12. I never did any of those steps. Imported the animation, put the humanoid frame 0 pose at the start, delete the frames I want, add the keyframes I want, let Blender do interpolation like a healthy animation program (setting frames with I + O), then specifying the end frame, then exporting gla. Then I give it a gla reference etc, and proceed to use GLAmerge.
  13. The key to this battle is seductiveness. What do dark lizards desire the most? Presents and toys. You need to find all the secret areas in Kejim Outpost, one of which contains gift wrapping and another contains a special gun most people don't know about. It's called RR-2000, which stands for Reverse Revolver. I would recommend not to use it but only keep it as a quest item. Find Jan, and select FIRST the gift wrapping and press the use button, then press use with the gun selected in the inventory while looking at Jan. She will help you wrapping the gift. It's important at this point to not accidentally use the gift when you try to use a bacta etc, because it will open the gift and waste the only gift wrapping in the game. After Artus Topside when you meet Desann, he will start fighting you, however it's important that you don't try to shoot him but instead use the present near him (there's a good chance he will kill you if you go near him). If done correctly, it should initiate the game's final cutscene in which Desann unwraps the gift and uses the gun to shoot Kyle in the face. Luckily, it's a reverse revolver and he has to go to the hospital for 2 weeks, enough time for Kyle and Jan to wipe out the rest of the empire singlehandedly.
  14. Yeah, let's port JK2 and JKA to Unreal Engine instead!
  15. Too bright for me. I can't easily read this text, too small contrast. vs Comfortable to read
  16. If I had to guess, I'd say one of the tags should be flipped. The tags indicate the position and rotation of the saber in the hand, right?
  17. The only remotely useful thing I can think of coming out of a disagreement button would be for example if someone posts an answer to a problem that is incorrect, and someone corrects them 2 or 3 pages later, which might not be seen by whoever was googling that and was too lazy to scroll through the entire thread. In any other scenario, I don't see something useful coming out of having disagreement stamples on a post. 1. Someone disagrees, doesn't post why afterwards - good to know! 2. Someone posts afterwards - there is now no need for the disagreement button because they responded. An optional feature, which I'd never see happening because workload, would be to see how many people quoted/responded to a post + links. That would counter the issue where someone googles and finds an incorrect answer, and it would say something about the reputation of a post, just not for the better or worse until you read the responses.
  18. I think a like button makes more sense though, even though it's not free of issues. Scenario #1: Someone gives an opinion, and 10 people like it. They basically say 'I agree' without making a "What eezstreet said" post. What exactly they like about it might not be relevant, if they would say pretty much the same thing. Scenario #2: Someone gives an opinion, and 10 people dislike it. They say 'I disagree', but now there's something missing. Why the disagreement? So instead of disliking the post, Gandalf makes a post on why he disagrees, and the 10 people like his post instead of of just disliking the other. In either case someone gets ganged up on without many reasons explicitly stated (if we need to treat arguments as a battle), which sucks for someone. But there's also that the like button in its nature is more like flower and less like Sauron. It encourages supportive/constructive interactions on the forum. It's also convenient for me to like what someone posts in a WIP thread or so, without being tilted enough to write a post to explicitly say 'I like what you do, keep it up'.
  19. No. I can think of many posts over the years that have not been well received or have caused dramas etc, and the people who felt strongly enough made it clear through actually responding with a post. If you truly dislike something and intend to show it, you better be prepared to put some words behind that, not just a passive agressive dislike. It would be like I didn't type all this, but pressed dislike on your suggestion, which is impossible atm and also kind of ironic. Mix that and you get - imponic. The best Pokemon.
  20. There is r_lightmap or so, but I think it does the opposite - 1 shows the lightmap and no textures, 0 is default and is the combination of them.
  21. That's not engine code. It would be possible in Pacman. They don't become weaker because it's inconvenient and weird in the scope of these games. Imagine if stormtroopers ran away in fear constantly. Or if Kyle became insane and schizophrenic after killing thousands of people on his own.
