  1. Well done and keep up the good work!
  2. Whoever Ezra might be, my to-do list is enormous at the moment. I've already thought about pausing the requests once again and resume them once I do all of the current ones.. It's hard to decide sometimes but I've been pretty much away now for some time and none have piled up or anything, so it's fine I guess. I'll get to work soon, it's just that I'm busy with real life at the moment.
  3. Actually I might even do a one-time only exception and do it right away. It's just what I'd need at the moment, to be honest. This seems like something hard enough and even though it seems complicated at first glance, it's basically all just very nice lines so it isn't too complicated anyway, just a lot of work. It also seems like something more modern in the SW timeline, I haven't done many of those yet, haven't I?
  4. Will do, thanks for pointing this out.
  5. Probably. Dunno, I gotta look every time. Hard to keep track of things. Anyway these days I'm still working on substance use. I'll probably complete those Shaman King weapons, at least partly, then move on to requests only after that.
  6. Hello!
  7. A warm welcome from me also!
  8. Stunning work, especially when you take into account how hard it was to make those holed mesh. 5 stars and no matter what some say, I still look up to your work. <3 Downloaded and I'm using this hilt, got a bit of JKA replay fever today.
  9. I don't need to tell you all specifically that I'll once more start all the hilts from scratch, don't I? Now that I learned this high poly stuff, there's no way I can bear to look at the ... well, crap I've been doing before. In April, @@AshuraDX and me are even going to team up on this and make it splendid. Just thought I'd announce this here. I'll be posting here a bit more seldom, in fact only with finished product pictures before the release, to tease you a little bit. This topic has got enough replies as it is already. That's it for now.
  10. True hahah. But you saved me the time of searching for additional references, which I started doing not too long ago. Thank you very much! Still, you'll have to wait a bit, hope you understand.
  11. Thanks! Didn't even watch the show
  12. Hm, try requesting it in the requests section of this forum, maybe someone is actually interested in making it now. I've got my hands full of work at the moment and they'll stay busy for a while.
  13. we'll see what time brings two comes after one though, not three. First the HD Project needs to get finished.
  14. To be honest, I've only done 1 whole playermodel in my entire life, parts of playermodels here and there for people but taking into account what I've learned over the past year here and considering the amount of time I've got free each day (almost each afternoon, except if I make plans to hang out with friends) I'd be done in a few days maybe a week, yes, if I'd model and texture it completely from scratch, from nothing.
  15. Why? it's not like it can't be seen that I sometimes rush things. I wonder how things would turn out if I took, say, a whole day (or 2-3 afternoons) for a hilt.
  16. @ actually, this was uploaded 3 hours ago. since then I've made most of the Thermal Detonator highpoly for my ThrowablesHD pack..well I could as well point this out - I'll take a small pause from requests and create this pack. After that, I'll continue with hilts.
  17. Don't worry, if you're interested in how it looks like, check my sketchfab profile. I've uploaded the high and the lowpoly there already! https://sketchfab.com/rooxon/models
  18. I'll have to get used to being talked about so nicely. Well, what can I say.. now I'm on the requests on the fourth page of this topic, and they're getting to be a bit less common, which means I'll quickly catch up. So yes, why not. Just keep in mind that only god knows when I'll actually do it, because I've got tons of stuff I have to make already.
  19. Only when I've got the time A bit of music besides 3ds and I'm done with modeling sooner than I know. the rest is around an hour of work for the textures, so yeah. Also, I'm saving time by applying materials to the high poly then baking down even the colors and whatever I want to have on my models rough look. Later I edit them by putting the baked maps together in Photoshop and fixing normal maps and so on with the help of the smudge tool. Once that's done, I just add a few masks for now in substance and that's it, but I plan on learning and mastering substance. When I do, my models will pretty much look like AshuraDX's or so I hope at least. I reckon there's many details I still lack, that every surface SCHOULD show what material it is and so on. Even though I would know what I want to create in my head, I'm not yet familiar enough with Substance to actually know how to do all those various things. but it's also true I got a totaly new motivation once I learned high poly modeling and baking. I love to spend my time now creating things, whereas before I only enjoyed it.
  20. ... and yet it is I who's just begun using more than basic programs. still a long way from what I want to do, but it's okay enough to release it.
