Hey guys. This is my first reskin of my own The Clone Wars style clone trooper helmet. This is Captain Rex, who served under Anakin Skywalker in the 501st legion during the Clone Wars. Comes with NPC support and custom sounds. Enjoy! Also, to make him even more badass... I suggest this. https://jkhub.org/files/file/3320-%7B%3F%7D/ CT-7567, nicknamed "Rex," was a veteran clone trooper captain and Advanced Recon Commando who oversaw Torrent Company of the Grand Army of the Republic's famed 501st Legion during the Clone Wars. Rex participated in many battles over the course of the war, and was fond of his dual DC-17 blaster pistols, which he used extensively in battle. As the captain of the 501st, Rex served as second-in-command to Jedi General Anakin Skywalker, whose bravery and unorthodoxy in battle he came to share. He was close friends with Marshal Commander Cody, with their relationship mirroring that of their respective Jedi Generals, Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The four of them often received joint assignments to coordinate front-line campaigns against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. At the Battle of Christophsis, Rex became a mentor to Skywalker's newly assigned Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, with whom he forged a strong bond. While on a listening post inspection tour with Cody, Rex rallied a small team of rookie soldiers to retake Rishi Station, which they thereafter destroyed to thwart Confederate General Grievous's planned invasion of Kamino. He took part in countless campaigns in the galactic theater of war, from the containment of the Blue Shadow Virus on Naboo and the liberation of Ryloth to other hard-won victories like the Battle of Malastare, the Second Battle of Geonosis, and the Battle of Kamino. Throughout his career, Rex proved to be an effective leader who truly cared for the men under his command, even as he began to doubt his own future—and those of his clone brethren—in the Republic. The Battle of Saleucami saw him meet the clone deserter Cut Lawquane, whom he came to respect despite their striking differences. His leadership was put to the ultimate test at the Battle of Umbara, when he was forced to unite the 501st Legion under an interim Jedi General, the obstinate and aggressive Pong Krell. Rex did not see eye-to-eye with Krell and found himself having to balance his troops' well-being with Krell's high-casualty plans. When Krell manipulated the 501st into a fatal confrontation with their comrades from the 212th Attack Battalion, Rex realized their general was a traitor to the Republic, and he risked charges of treason to lead his men in arresting Krell. The ordeal refined his hard-line obedience to orders, as he also learned the value of making his own decisions as a soldier. Rex aided Skywalker, Tano, and Kenobi in rescuing Togruta colonists from the Zygerrian Slave Empire and later offered his soldier's expertise to help the Jedi train local insurgents on Onderon to emancipate their world. In a stark turn of events, he and Skywalker apprehended Tano on Coruscant after she was framed for a bombing of the Jedi Temple, an incident that culminated in her departure from the Jedi Order. Following the malfunction of a clone during the Battle of Ringo Vinda, Rex and Skywalker gave pursuit of a longtime comrade, ARC trooper Fives, who had gone rogue after unearthing an anti-Jedi directive that had been bred into all of the Republic's clone troopers. Before Fives could prove his findings to Rex and Skywalker, the Coruscant Guard gunned him down for resisting arrest.

I'm always interested in seeing new content.

  3. Shameless quadruple post.. All he needs is sounds. Credits to Ashura for the body, Neomarz for the accessories and head.
  4. Taking a break for now, but just a preview. The phase 1 TCW style clones are back
  5. So two things: I have released the DC-17 blaster pistol and it is currently awaiting approval for one. For two, Padme's pistol is a first person perspective away from being ready for release as well. Oops, I have three things. In addition to the DC-17 blaster pistol, I'm going to make a special skin. It *should* be done by the end of the day.

Hey guys, this file replaces the dull boring DL-44 standard blaster pistol with the new and exciting DC-17 pistol which made a prominent appearance in Dave Filoni's The Clone Wars series. Complete with new sounds (or at least, attempted new sounds), first person perspective, and accurately colored blaster fire. Now then, for some information! The DC-17 hand blaster, also known as DC-17 blaster pistol, was a heavy blaster pistol wielded by the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. An advanced firearm, it was fielded to elite soldiers in the army, most notably Advanced Recon Commandos, clone trooper commanders, and clone jet troopers. It shared many similarities with the DC-15s side arm blaster used by clone commandos, being a more powerful variant of the standard DC-15S blaster carbine. Capable of a much higher rate of sustained fire than its predecessors, the commando pistol was known for its efficiency and deadliness. As a result, it was a popular style for the clones that favored it to wield two at a time, as typified by ARC-77 "Fordo" and CT-7567 "Rex".
  7. Okay my lame ass decided to try to make the easy way so instead of trying to mess with the RGB I turned it off and messed with a new WhiteGlow texture that's inside the PK3. Might cause complications during gameplay but as of yet I have found none. It worked, thank you guys for explaining this. The pistol is very complex it would seem!
  8. Is there any easier way to guess what RGB values to type in or am I going in blind?
  9. Side flash works, the color of the bolts being shot does not change however
  10. Usually I move some vertices around on the UV editor manually after
  11. I love you Also do i need to rename them or just put them onto the PK3 gfx/effects folder?
  12. In case anyone is curious; my personal strategy is cylinder projection for helmets and faces. Then for sides of flat guns project from view, then project and view for the faces on the top and bottom
  13. Okay but for the blaster pistol, what files do I change the blaster bolts? I looked in assets and know where they are but can't find them
  14. I have no idea where to find any of it and replacing it with Briar hasn't worked
  15. Got bored and couldn't sleep so I ended up making Padme's pistol
  16. Well I mostly was referring to the random chain of posts that showed up after he posted a update yesterday lol, but that's rad.
  17. Ignore wasn't the right word to accurately describe my thoughts there. I need sleep.
  18. I just ignore it and use it as motivation. He has a point about the UVs on that clone . They were pretty rough. But the point is I've got this. And most of the time what I do is give a basic protection and make temp textures so that the weapon previews aren't just in solid viewmode.Anyway, I finished the DC-17 makeover. All that's left to do is to get the damn sounds working
  19. Sweet, that may be the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me
  20. I'm going to say my piece on this for my thread once and for all. I appreciate constructive criticism and feedback. I can handle it. But, I don't mind people who porch because that takes some effort as well. For people like me who just want to casually mod and not dedicate days and days on end, that's a perfectly acceptable alternative. Just don't claim it as your own. Furthermore, there's a difference between constructive criticism and just being a jerk. I'm not calling anybody out on that, but I feel like it was necessary to say that. So yes, I casually work on improving my UV skills. Casually. Very very casually. Because now I have a job and a girlfriend and I don't have the time for this that I used to. And that's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's why I'm not going to shit out gorgeous models like Ashura. I do what I can, and sometimes I just want to get previews out there. I will specify from now on when I feel like it's a finished product and not just a work-in-progress placeholder texture.
  21. Definitely would be a labor intensive project, don't worry I won't commit to it yet. Construction season ain't over yet so I got a few busy weeks ahead of me.
