  1. I think a fan made multiplayer sequel with the gameplay of JK2/JKA would be possible but no singleplayer (also cause of legal issues).
  2. I like to spend some money on mouses. Currently I'm using the Roccat Kone Pure which I really like. It got 8200 dpi...I'm using it with 800 dpi so whatever but the handling is really nice and it's looking cool. Most important for my choice was actually the position of the thumb buttons since I'm using them a lot in games like Jedi Academy, Chivalry, Quake or Counter Strike.
  3. I doubt they will ever make these games canon and I don't think they will want to limit their options when it comes to the story of the new movies just because of some old games. It's millions of dollars versus some fans of a 15 year old gaming series. It's sad, but I actually think Disney irretrievably buried the JK series when they decided to make everything but the movies non-canon. In fact, I don't think we will ever see any kind of character from the games in one of the new movies. Things will become really weird when you're a fan of the books/comics/games and a completely different story happens in the movies. Maybe I'm wrong though...(hopefully) The day we know more about the future of the JK series and the anthology films and everything is completely different than I just explained, please quote this post and tell me how stupid I was. It will be a good day for all of us. On the other hand I'm not even sure if a new JK game would be actually fun to play. It probably would be some kind of new TFU.

  5. Probably terrific I think Battlefront looks even better than Hardline, especially the textures and the explosions.
  6. Yes it's amazing, the best thing I've seen in many years... but the saber combat looks a bit boring and stupid unfortunately. The way he swings his sword doesn't look really convincing
  7. I'm no expert but I'd use a map-object like the CTF-flags for the control points and then simply look for nearby clients with a findradius function.
  8. Problem is that the saber combat depends on so many things in JKA, starting with sv_fps (doesn't use openJK a different default value than base?)... and I heard that using a different compiler can cause differences in the blocking behavior, but I'm not sure if that's actually true

  11. Pls no... there is this theory that says that all Ewoks died after the deathstar exploded (there is a complete pseudo-scientific article somewhere on the web about that). Even if it's just an idea of some fans I really liked it (I hate Ewoks)
  12. Count Dooku was my favourite SW-character... and I also loved his roles in all his other movies (LotR, Dracula, James Bond etc). There was no better actor for villains than Christopher Lee.
  13. Definitely playing ESL TDM matches, but I'm not sure if I can pick a specific moment. Playing and winning cups was fun, epecially when playing with Vintage... @@Ping: It was similar for me when I played against Dureal. I had a 1:0 lead in both rounds but he managed to get back because I was too nervous and so it ended with a draw. Dureal is a master of comebacks because he plays like an unemotional robot.

  15. In Germany we had this topic ("killer-games", antisocial gamers) in the news like 5 years ago. Nowadays it's pretty quiet... probably until the next time someone is running amok and they find games like Counter-Strike on his computer.

    Syko, 99% of the content on JKHub is about modding so what's the issue if there's one article about non-modding related stuff? I'm sure there will be a lot of modding related interviews again in the future.
  17. Yea all LucasArts rights/licenses/names/trademarks are now Disneys.
  18. I'm pretty sure LucasArts or at least Raven are aware of mods like Movie Battles II and so far they didn't care... it could change now with Disney but I doubt it (as long as you're not going to sell anything)

  20. In the end most mods use illegal material, including MBII, Movie Duels etc. But so far (for more than 12 years) no one ever cared about that
  21. Just wondering...is it possible to compile for 1.0 with the JKA sourcecode? I know people in the past modded 1.0 with hooks and reverse engineering etc
  22. I'm currently working on a mod that kinda does this, it isn't really hard to implement depending on how good it's supposed to look like.
  23. As I said before, I'm not sure what exactly fixed it But I deleted all .dlls in all folders and even opened the .pk3 files and deleted the .dll files in it. I also made a new command called "gametime" ( __TIME__ in the game xcvar_table) so I can be sure that my build is up to date.
  24. Thanks, it's actually working now. I'm not sure why though. I've deleted all dlls (even those in the pk3s and in the my games folder) but it still happened and after a couple hours I compiled everything once again and suddenly it was working.
  25. So I downloaded the latest version of openJK and tried to compile it (which is working) but ingame it's a bit weird. None of my code edits seem to be in the game except for the fact that it displays the name of my mod on the right side of the console. But gamename and gamedate is still "basejka" and "Nov 6 2003". Everything is compiled and in the right place...
