  1. JKA: Since spring/summer 2004 JK2: Only singleplayer a couple of times (first time probably in 2005 or so)
  2. Ja+ is the most used multiplayer mod but it's impact on the community is questionable as it doesn't change much of the gameplay (except for making saber combat a bit worse). Most impact definitely Movie Battles as it got a completely different community than the rest of the game (pretty much like a new game).
  3. A lot of German, Russian, Polish, Czech and Hungarian players. I would be actually surprised if there were more UK/US than EU players (but I wasn't active for a long time so I could be wrong).
  4. It can't really get much bigger than the one from MBII
  5. After 2 days I have to say: Virus 1 : 0 Me I'm gonna reinstall windows tomorrow. Thanks for the help though! Edit: Actually I got rid of it now (I really hope forever...most annoying thing ever)... I reinstalled the browser and made a couple more anti-virus checks. Not sure what removed it in the end... probably several different things.
  6. Thanks for the tips. Most of the time it's a link to "eFix pro". But sometimes it redirectes me to other pages as well. Resetting the browser didn't help. The ads are changing but most of the time it's this one (which is an ad for anti-virus software): http://i.imgur.com/vTlYQME.jpg Most help pages (like http://www.fixyourbrowser.com/removal-instructions/ads-by-name-removal-instruction/ ) say that I should start with deinstalling all unwanted software. Problem is that I don't have any recently installed sofware that I could remove.
  7. Hi, guys I really need some help. I'm using firefox and I'm getting on every page ads and pop-ups with the caption "ad by name". I've tried everything I can think of to remove that shit including avast, adwcleaner, junkware removal tool, anti-malware, hitmanpro and eset online scanner but so far nothng helped. Obviously I also checked the firefox plugins and add-ons. If someone got an idea I would really appreciate it as my only other option is reinstalling my computer.
  8. Yes there are limits for the amount of items in a menu and the amount of menu-files. I think the menuitem-limit is 512 and menus 128
  9. avidemo is a command. cl_avidemo 30 it is. Or you could use jaMME
  10. Warning, it's gross. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aclS1pGHp8o
  11. 5/5 would crucify
  12. I like to use "Switch Sound File Converter"
  13. I think parts of this map would work pretty well in multiplayer *hint hint*
  14. Would be cool to have this on the actual download page on JKHub
  15. Wasn't there a command to disable certain entities? Or was that only in pugmod
  16. It's a cool game but there is no multiplayer (only splitscreen).
  17. Chivalry could have been awesome but unfortunately the developers are completely incompetent. 2,5 years after release they didn't even manage to fix the serverbrowser not to mention the balance. The devs basically killed the comp scene when they released a balance patch in 2013 that made most clan players (me and my clan included) quit the game. It's sad because there are basically only four multiplayer melee games out there: JK2 and JKA (which are old) and Blade Symhony and Chivalry (which are shit and/or full of bugs). I almost forgot: www.reddit.com/r/TheSlashering/ This could become a better kind of chivalry if it ever gets released.
  18. I've got one and a half unfinished hogwarts maps from two previous mod projects I was in. However, I don't think anyone is going to finish them. @@therfiles Do we even have the .map files from that old map?
  19. So you're not going to join the JKB team?
  20. Well the idea was to have a free game with the mechanics of JKA for people who don't own the game and/or don't like the SW-setting. I think it would be quite doable if you'd focus on a small working build with like one model, one map etc. But I guess you guys are right that most people already own JKA and won't care for all this anyway.
  21. Hi. Is there anyone currently working on a standalone version of Jedi Academy (like openArena is for Quake 3)? I know people worked on compJA but I think that project is dead. I'm working on my small puzzle game but that doesn't have much to do with the original game. I think it would be cool if there was some kind of open JKHub standalone community project to make that a reality. If enough people worked on that it wouldn't even be that much work for anyone. I guess the biggest problems would be the animations as there are not a lot of people who are into that. For those of you who are not aware: Making a standalone means that you have to replace every single asset (models, animations, textures, maps, sounds...). The code could be based on openJK (could even be an official asset-expansion to the openJK project). Any thoughts?
  22. Yea scripts are no fun in MP but you can do quite a lot with normal triggers. Today I changed the timer so that it counts backwards if the maptime is set and forwards if it is not set. If the maptime is set you have only a certain amount of time to finish the level until the game is over and if it's not set you've got as much time as you want. In both cases you get a screen in the end that shows you the time that you needed for the level. You can adjust the maptime for each level by putting a .mpt file in the base/maptime folder (I probably explained that before). What I need now is one basic playermodel, some animations and moar levels.
  23. That's one way to infiltrate raven
  24. It's not meant to be defrag nor is there any kind of stafe jumping. Maybe I'll re-implement that later.
  25. I actually made it happen. I can end the game now via triggers (thanks to therfiles for the help). So basically everything code-wise is working now. If someone want's to help me out with stuff, I'd really appreciate it.
