  1. Creating an account at MBII takes like one minute. Your problem can't be that bad, if that is too much work for you.
  2. Awesome! Thanks a lot
  3. This would be pretty cool. Fast-forward with timescale 1000 until the next (air)kill with a saber happens. That's what I personally had in mind.
  4. Didn't know you mean kill when saying shot. And it doesn't seem to work with sabers Thanks though
  5. Didn't know that "find direct" command, that's pretty cool. Is there a command to jump to the next kill and/or would it be a lot of work to (based on that command) make it possible to jump to the next airkill?
  6. Now all we need is Globox
  7. Me neither
  8. Except for JK2. I love Dishonored/Dark Messiah (same developers btw) but the combat system wouldn't be fitting for a SW game imo. What I'd like to see is an open world SW game with elements of games like Elder Scrolls, Assassins Creed and Jedi Knight.
  9. Would it be possible to create a feature (like in the Quake Live demo tools) that allows you to jump to (or search for) certain kind of frags, like airfrags or frags that were done with a specific weapon? Doing fragmovies in Quake Live became pretty easy because these tools make it super easy to find good kills.
  10. What's the best and most stable GTKRadiant build for Win7? I'm currently going for 1.5

1.4 works just fine, but I use 1.5 for certain non-windows purposes.

I've been using 1.6 with no issues.

      I guess I'll try 1.6 since I'm getting some problems with 1.5

  11. I think it's lovely
  12. In JKA there are some bad transitions between different tracks. That's something that could be worked on. fmod compatibility anyone?
  13. I know it's been almost a year but... do you know the name of that debug command?
  14. Six hours for all missions on the highest difficulty... It's been 7 years since I've played the SP the last time but I don't remember Jedi Academy being that short...

Also, redsaurus implemented MP movement into JKE, maybe it would be worth making it an official OpenJK feature too.

I played the SP a lot because I didn't have good internet until 2005.

I think the SP would be way more fun with MP movement. Maybe even without strafe jumping (siege movement).

It's actually Raz0r's feature, I just copypasted it into JKE

  15. Judging from the screenshot the lighting could be better. Maybe having some spot lights somewhere or having the lava as the main light source
  16. There should be a difference between author and uploader in the file system.
  17. In Jedi Academy SP, is it possible to have slowmotion on death of enemy jedis and dodging of enemy jedis but not on death of normal enemies?

I don't think so. I think it's either you have it or you don't on enemies. But I think you can set that it only plays on more prominent enemies.

It might be hard coded to only be switched on and off.

Yeah that's what it is by default. Only saber wielding enemies and dodging sniper shots do the slowmo and pan shot.

  18. But you can already sort by rating.
  19. There are a couple of upcoming indie melee-games (Slasher, Rivalry, Reverence) but most of them are from unsatisfied Chivalry players so the games will have similar combat mechanics. Slasher is pretty much like an updated Chivalry and Reverence is a game where you've got full control over your attacks with no pre-defined attack-animations. It looks kinda random though. It's currently on kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1773037999/reverence-the-ultimate-combat-experience I really wish some people of this community would form a team to make a game with real JK mechanics on a new engine.
  20. Well, I think the user rating should handle this. A mod with less than 3 stars? Probably a beginner mod
  21. Chivalry was created by the guys who did Age of Chivalry (source mod) and the combat is nothing like Jedi Knight (and I never had the feeling that they even try to have JK-like gameplay mechanics but I can be wrong). Edit: lol
  22. The problem is not that BS is different from JK. The problem is that this game is bad imo. I much rather play Chivalry or Movie Battles when it comes to melee games.
  23. I hated it. The animations are horrible and the combat is pretty random. At least this was the case in 2013, don't know if anything big happened since then.
