  1. Would it be possible to create a feature (like in the Quake Live demo tools) that allows you to jump to (or search for) certain kind of frags, like airfrags or frags that were done with a specific weapon? Doing fragmovies in Quake Live became pretty easy because these tools make it super easy to find good kills.
  2. I think it's lovely
  3. In JKA there are some bad transitions between different tracks. That's something that could be worked on. fmod compatibility anyone?
  4. I know it's been almost a year but... do you know the name of that debug command?
  5. Judging from the screenshot the lighting could be better. Maybe having some spot lights somewhere or having the lava as the main light source
  6. There should be a difference between author and uploader in the file system.
  7. But you can already sort by rating.
  8. There are a couple of upcoming indie melee-games (Slasher, Rivalry, Reverence) but most of them are from unsatisfied Chivalry players so the games will have similar combat mechanics. Slasher is pretty much like an updated Chivalry and Reverence is a game where you've got full control over your attacks with no pre-defined attack-animations. It looks kinda random though. It's currently on kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1773037999/reverence-the-ultimate-combat-experience I really wish some people of this community would form a team to make a game with real JK mechanics on a new engine.
  9. Well, I think the user rating should handle this. A mod with less than 3 stars? Probably a beginner mod
  10. Chivalry was created by the guys who did Age of Chivalry (source mod) and the combat is nothing like Jedi Knight (and I never had the feeling that they even try to have JK-like gameplay mechanics but I can be wrong). Edit: lol
  11. The problem is not that BS is different from JK. The problem is that this game is bad imo. I much rather play Chivalry or Movie Battles when it comes to melee games.
  12. I hated it. The animations are horrible and the combat is pretty random. At least this was the case in 2013, don't know if anything big happened since then.
  13. Chivalry is pretty good or could have been good with better developers. It's also available for consoles now. But it doesn't have the movement based melee combat system of JKA so it's way easier to play on consoles.
  14. Sometimes simply restarting JKA can help too

    JK3Files Shuts Down

All this is from a legal (and even ethical) point of view quite questionable as those files were only meant to be published on jk3files
  16. I fully agree with that. But that's the same problem with Syko's mirror. In the long run I think only the big, important mods should be kept and the original authors should be asked to host the files here on JKHub.
  17. It's good because now people can't use that terrible page anymore and are forced to come here. And who will miss those 61246 jawa reskins anyway?
  18. Yea 1313 would have been awesome...
  19. Basically this. My dream would be something like a mix of Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, Jedi Knight and (maybe) Assassins Creed. I want to do quests as a Jedi in an open-world Coruscant, having a good story and good gameplay and saber combat. If anyone has read "Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter" or the "Jedi-Padawan" series. That kind of feeling in a game and I'd be sold. This is for singleplayer of course. Nowadays a multiplayer SW-game with lightsaber combat would be crap anyway.
  20. I'd always want to try a mouse before I buy it. I tried like 10 different mouses before I decided to get the Kone.
  21. To be fair, George Lucas wasn't really that much of a fan of the expanded universe either
  22. Mechnical keyboards are faster and give you a better feeling and are in general more reliable I guess
  23. Well they will most likely focus on making games that are related to the new movies or at least related to the new canon that's why I figured: JK = not canon means no new JK
