  1. That just made the dead NPC disappear completely. Perhaps @@therfiles knows of a way through scripting? Not sure how it would even work through script though. If it were a setting, it would make more sense to be a cvar or a key in worldspawn.
  2. Circa

    Dengar

Definitely crashed after spawning a few. Looks good though.
  3. This is unique to the Mac versions of JK2 and JKA. OpenJK fixes the issue, however. Perhaps @@redsaurus or @@Xycaleth can elaborate more.
  4. I believe they update it every few years. I remember seeing it in 2006 and it was extremely lame. Went back in 2014 and it was epic.
  5. Not really wanting it to stand out, honestly. If anything I want it to be on par with the SP maps. If people want to donate models for me to use, then by all means. I just want to make these levels become a reality. All the good mappers that do amazing mapping and modeling work are either long gone or are not interested in helping. So I'm doing it myself. Also, in my opinion, you can make things look really good in this engine, but it's still JKA. There's only so much you can do. I'm not about to try to make a map look like it does in Battlefront. EDIT: Is it possible to disable weapon pickups on a map? Or disable NPC dropping weapons upon death? I want my NPCs to have a variety of weapons, but I don't want the player to pick them up.
  6. Why not contribute to other projects that need mappers?
  7. Very small update. This is taking a lot longer than it should because I'm learning as I'm going. This will be the end of the map. You reach the sandcrawler of the jawas that had taken R2 and C3PO. Stuff goes down. Jawas get extremely angry. Would love to have that womp rat model soon @@Boothand. I may need to place howlers or mine monsters as placeholders until I get that.
  8. Relevant: http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/889-kotorblender/ Have fun. I'm sure 90% of people here have the KOTOR games at least in their Steam library. They've been on sale for like $3 multiple times in recent years.
  9. That looks really good! I look forward to seeing that released! If Barricade finishes his, I'm sure it'll be a tough choice between the two.
  10. You are a genius. I checked to make sure my NPCs were on the up and up. Lo and behold they had an NPC_spawner field with a value of the NPC, instead of NPC_type. Not sure how that happened. Fixed those and all is well. Thank you, sir.
  11. Definitely not the script. Because I removed all that I did and it still crashes.
  12. So I deleted the lift that I created and tested, and it loaded fine. So I rebuilt it, and not it's crashing again. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I'm following @@Lazarus' tutorial here: https://jkhub.org/tutorials/article/191-scripted-elevators/ EDIT: Just deleted it and tried again and it crashed still. I'm so confused.
  13. Just use the ones that are already made for JKA. They look good for this engine. You're not going to get modern looking models like Battlefront's in JKA. Just isn't going to happen.
  14. This is all in a clean base folder EDIT: looks like it works in OpenJK fine...
  15. So I know what bevels it's talking about, and I thought I had deleted them. Can't find any more anywhere. And the map loaded fine with them in it before. So I'm not sure that's the issue...
  16. I might be using this thread multiple times for my many issues. So I spent awhile adding lots of content before testing in-game again, so I have no idea why I'm crashing this time. The log says the following: Ignore the dewback animevents, I've been getting those since including it. But I put some jawas in my map, so I get the jawa error BUT why is it saying it can't find these random things? player/model.glm? wut. The invalid bevel was also something I did awhile ago and it loaded fine before. No errors in Radiant, either.
  17. I understand that people have a lot of WIPs, but can you go back to making separate threads for them?

Does that follow option actually work? I tried it for my Skipray thread, but didn't seem to have any actual effect.

I use it for all my threads. Tells you when someone replies. Works for me. Maybe check your notification settings on your account?

Ah, that was it. Didn't even know that section existed. Thanks for the help.

  18. SWJK.in is paired with JK3.in Hello! Many of you hopefully know that we offer a couple service to the Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy community, such as the JKHub Bar, making it easier to connect with other groups and clans around the community. Another one is mod project forums, giving mod teams an easy way to work and share progress on their projects. One of our most popular ones is the JK3.in server IP shortcut. If you've ever played the games on multiplayer, you probably have run into the issue where you need to connect to a server manually by typing in the IP address. Sometimes that long string of numbers can be difficult to remember or just simply annoying to type in all the time. JK3.in aims to remedy that issue by giving you a way to shorten your IP and still function the same way. Instead of typing /connect 198.50.210.78, you'd type /connect you.jk3.in. It's easier to remember and can be changed if you change your server's IP. This service is very popular with clans and large groups. Currently we have around 60 shortcuts being used with jk3.in. Today I'm announcing that we have added a new domain to this service! SWJK.in will function exactly the same. The purpose of adding this domain is to cater to those with Jedi Outcast servers. Since Jedi Outcast isn't "JK3" (technically neither is Jedi Academy) but rather it is "JK2", it wouldn't make sense to use that shortcut. And before you all ask, JK2.in was taken. But this also gives a choice for Jedi Academy players to use either JK3.in or SWJK.in. Anyway, if you have a JK2 server and have been wanting this shortcut or maybe you didn't even know this existed until now, PM or email me or check out the actual page and click the link at the bottom. 20. Did it as soon as I posted that.
  21. Does it happen even after rebooting?Does it happen only when JKA is open?Has JKA run smoothly before now?Has anything on your system changed? What OS are you on?
  22. The textures were saved as Progressive, which makes JKA crash. Open them up in GIMP and save them again, when the JPEG window comes up, make sure Progressive is not selected. Instead just standard or optimised or whatever GIMP calls them.
  23. It's in the old Battle of Hoth map that wasn't finished: http://circa.im/files/jka/battle-of-hoth.pk3
  24. I merged your thread with this main one.
  25. All you have to do is replace the number in animations.cfg in BOTH_STAND1 with the number from BOTH_STAND9. It will change the default stance to the one in JK2, and be used for all the other standing animations, like pictured in the first post. All standing animations use the legs from STAND1. It's silly and needs to be fixed, imo.
