I think so, yeah. Can't really remember which version.

Curse you @@Bek. This was going to be the next poll.

So, I've run into a new issue. And I've only found one instance of it happening to someone by searching Google. And they claimed they just turned off their antivirus and it worked. But I don't have any antivirus.. Restarted Radiant and xQuartz and still get it. Tried every compile option. Same thing. Turning off BSP monitoring works...but why did this happen? And shouldn't I keep BSP monitoring?

I wonder why you get that overlay and I don't then. That's really weird.
-
What version of OSX are you using?
-
It does make it brighter, but it shouldn't need that to match the display's brightness. Kind of a silly way to do it. Now I'm just curious if others have this issue. @@Seven do you use OpenJK on your Mac?
-
There were 5 questions. If it happens even without JKA running, then it's not an issue with the game, its an issue with your PC. Did JKA have this issue before you posted this thread? Or are you just now having the issue? The answer to this question could be found by answering the next: Did you change anything on your PC or install anything right before this issue started happening? Something could be interfering and slowing your PC down.

Why wouldn't you just not want that brightness overlay to exist? Why not just have the game be correct brightness without that blue overlay? That's why I showed you the video of mine. Mine has no overlay and is the proper brightness without it.
-
Yeah, I'm sure it would be a simple thing to implement code-wise. Just a matter of adding it to the long list of requests for JKE.
-
Right. So what you're actually wanting is to get rid of that blue overlay that it gives. You shouldn't have it. I don't get that on OpenJK. I'm going to move this to the OpenJK forum and see if any of them can help. Particularly the Mac devs. @@redsaurus @@Xycaleth

So even when you open QT and begin recording and then switch back to the game, it doesn't change? Or it changes but QT isn't capturing it? I just tested basically what you're doing and it works fine for me. Or it appears to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Es6tZSRWsRg Although I do remember having that issue even on OpenJK a couple years ago. Perhaps it was fixed on an OS level? You're running an older version of OS X, which might be why. But I'm really not sure at all.
-
Well, your explorer doesn't look normal. Do you have some kind of custom theme or something?
-
It shouldn't change the color... that's strange. What are you using to record?
-
Okay, so do those other two steps I mentioned.
-
Did you press Enter when it asked? Looks like you aborted the installation instead.
-
Just remembered. You need Homebrew. Follow this: http://brew.sh Then in Terminal: brew install sdl2 If it says its installed but not linked, type this: brew link sdl2 I should put that in that tutorial...
-
Well, if that's what you downloaded, I'd assume it's the correct one. What happens if you go to Finder, click Go, Go to Folder and paste this in and press enter: /usr/local/opt/sdl2/lib/ Is libSDL2-2.0.0.dylib there?

New gamemodes would be an epic way to give the community a boost. The mode you're referring to is one of my favorite modes to play in games (CS, COD, etc). In FPS games, it requires a lot more strategy. Could be paired with this Search and Destroy map/concept: How to play and host Search and Destroy If the map actually worked, that is.

.warnbox { background: #e3f6e5 url( images/icons/exclamation.png ) no-repeat 9px 10px; border: 1px solid #b4e3b9; color: #475949; } Topic moved to Jedi Knight Tech Support. If he installed it correctly, it should be able to find it though.

I'm assuming you've made sure Chrome is up to date? If you can't find anything online from other people, it may be just you. Maybe try reinstalling Chrome.

Well, the one you posted shows SDL 2.0.0 so I'd hope the new one shows 2.0.4. I just updated my OpenJK with the latest build and it works fine for me. Hmm. Strange. I'm trying to remember all the things I've run into like this in the past. The main difference I can see at first is that you're running OS X 10.9, whereas I'm on 10.11. Add me on Skype or Discord or Steam and maybe I can help you better. (info in my profile)
